It installs with a "Deploy to Cloudflare" button and runs on Cloudflare Workers, D1, R2 and Queues, receiving mail through Cloudflare Email Routing and sending through Cloudflare Email Sending. There is no mail server, VPS or database to maintain, updates are applied in one click, and there are no per-seat, per-domain, per-mailbox or per-message fees. Multi-domain team webmail Connect multiple domains and create mailboxes such as support@, sales@ or personal addresses on each. Your team reads, replies to and forwards email in a browser-based webmail, and each member sees only the mailboxes an administrator grants them. Email API and inbound webhooks A versioned HTTP API (OpenAPI 3.1) lets your applications send, list, read, reply to and forward email. Each inbound message can be delivered to your app as an HMAC-SHA256 signed webhook containing parsed text, HTML, headers and attachments. This also gives n8n, Zapier and Make workflows their own email address on your domain. Mailboxes for AI agents Every deployment provides an installable Agent Skill and API that agents such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent and Pi can use. An agent's API key can be limited to a single mailbox, so it can read and send only for that address. Email templates and broadcasts A visual template editor includes ready-made SaaS templates for welcome, onboarding, trial ending, password reset, invoices and more. Broadcasts send newsletters, product announcements, marketing and sales email to an imported list of up to 10,000 recipients each, with scheduling, per-recipient delivery status, one-click unsubscribe (RFC 8058) and an automatic suppression list for unsubscribes, bounces and complaints. Open and click tracking are off by default and can be enabled per broadcast. Your data stays in your account Mailboxes, messages, attachments and contacts are stored in the D1 database and R2 bucket in your own Cloudflare account. MarkRelay does not receive your email content, and send and receive logs are deleted after 90 days. Requirements Your domains use Cloudflare DNS; the Free plan works and you keep your current registrar. People work in the browser webmail and applications use the HTTP API and webhooks, rather than desktop mail clients over IMAP. Teams use MarkRelay as a self-hosted alternative to Google Workspace for multi-domain team email, to Resend, SendGrid and Mailgun for sending and receiving through an API, to Mailchimp, listmonk, Substack and beehiiv for newsletters, and to hosted agent inbox services such as AgentMail.
