"User friendly and great customer service"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Payscale Ascent (formerly Marketpay)?

Where to start, Market Pay has so many features and they continually are updating the dashboard to help their customers with the changing market. Their customer service is beyond amazing, we have quarterly meetings with Sarah who goes over all the updates of Market Pay and answers all questions we have. She is always so helpful and makes sure all our questions are answered. Even when we do not have scheduled meetings when we reach out to Sarah she is always quick to respond. What do you dislike about Payscale Ascent (formerly Marketpay)?

I wouldn't say this is not helpful but something that would be nice to be able to do, if you could click on the main dashboard on where it shows your stats of the percentage of priced jobs and then being able to click to see what's priced, slotted or on the neither. And it could just take you to the jobs that are priced, slotted, or neither instead of having to pull a report of them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Accurate Market Data with Easy Setup"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Payscale Ascent (formerly Marketpay)?

I use Marketpay mainly for market pricing and compensation analysis, and what I like most about it is its accurate and up-to-date market data. This helps me provide reliable benchmarks for salaries and benefits, allowing me to make fair, competitive pay decisions quickly. Setting it up was easy and stress-free, which is a huge plus for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Payscale Ascent (formerly Marketpay)?

One area Marketpay could improve is providing more customization for specific industries. Marketpay could improve by offering more industry-specific filters and templates, allowing salary benchmarks to be tailored to niche roles and organizational needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Market Data Access with Granular Insights"
4/5
What do you like best about Payscale Ascent (formerly Marketpay)?

What I like best about MarketPay is its accessibility to comprehensive market data and the ability to drill down to granular details when needed. The platform centralizes market data from multiple surveys, making it easy to access without juggling multiple spreadsheets Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Payscale Ascent (formerly Marketpay)?

The reporting functionality is not very intuitive and provides only limited flexibility when it comes to extracting data from various reports. This limitation makes it difficult for us to fully utilize the system's capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust Platform for Global Survey Data in Complex Organization"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Payscale Ascent (formerly Marketpay)?

Robust, can handle large global complex companies and large datasets. They load your survey data for you. Flexible reporting. Robust survey participation module. The modeling feature for merit matrices and salary ranges is really nice to have. Their "Propogate" job match feature is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Payscale Ascent (formerly Marketpay)?

UI/UX User interface is sometimes a little clunky, "filtery". Built on old architecture. Maintaining their Job Code Key for unique field and multiple global structures with geographic zones is high-maintenance.

They are not a Workday certified partner so that sometimes add to our work for integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Crucial Tool for Benchmarking and Market Data Analysis"
4/5
What do you like best about Payscale Ascent (formerly Marketpay)?

I have been using Marketpay to handle various compensation functions such as benchmarking market data, survey participation, and uploading survey results since April 2025 when I started with my current employer. Marketpay has significantly aided in gathering important market data, which is essential in ensuring our company pays employees equitably, both from an internal equity and an externally competitive standpoint. Having access to this data at our fingertips greatly assists with our short- and long-term decision-making. I find the market data and survey results functions particularly useful, as they help us benchmark our jobs effectively. Additionally, the large number of users relying on Marketpay means that the data is more widespread and reflective of the industry, enhancing its utility and reliability. These aspects make Marketpay a valuable tool for my daily functions, and a main reason why I would definitely consider purchasing it again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Payscale Ascent (formerly Marketpay)?

I dislike the limited options for downloading reports and data in different document formats. This limitation restricts my ability to streamline research by not allowing easy editing and data manipulation in my preferred formats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
