"Great for Content Writing & Research"
5/5
What do you like best about MarketMuse?

- Simple & fast to pull text for page refreshes and repurposing (and to see what's being crawled/indexed) using the "Optimize" feature

- Easy to conduct competitor keyword usage gaps for content planning using the "research" feature

- SERP Navigator is helpful in researching the search intent of a given topic or KW (ie transactional vs educational) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MarketMuse?

- Creating content briefs for blog / content outlines is a bit more involved using MM versus, say, chatGPT. And the quality of links provided, even when a site is added via "inventories", is hit or miss. But overall, it's still a helpful tool to have in my content planning toolbox. I will say that there is value in the NLP phrases to include, even though those can be somewhat hit or miss at times, too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very intuitive platform that offers insights into missed opportunities."
4.5/5
What do you like best about MarketMuse?

The Optimize category is fantastic for making sure your content is properly optimized for SEO Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MarketMuse?

The interface is not very intuitive. To optimize and research topics for a single article, you end up jumping around from tool to tool in a way that feels like the UI could be improved upon.

The content scores and topic research can crash or take a while to load. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A good tool for those with limited SEO knowledge"
3.5/5
What do you like best about MarketMuse?

I really love the premise of MarketMuse, and I find certain aspects of the platform REALLY useful (Newsroom, for example, can be great for timely articles).

I used the service in a past role and really got a lot out of it. In this particular role, though, I don't feel like I got quite as much value, though it has certainly still been worth using. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MarketMuse?

I do feel that the pricing is sometimes a bit steep for

the level of service one actually receives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's a very dynamic and robust SEO and keyword research query tool. As a self-professed SEO geek, Market Muse is my favorite for dialed-in topical research. I rarely publish without it! It's easy to use, and the queries are detailed and quickly curated. Also, there's no platform integration required! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MarketMuse?

I don't have a dislike. But maybe wish for it to have a custom segment built just for bloggers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Great Content Optimization Tool"
4.5/5
What do you like best about MarketMuse?

MarketMuse is great for optimizing content. I use it almost daily, both for finding quick win SEO opportunities and ensuring the content I'm creating will rank for target keywords. It's great for finding related keywords to target as well. The content brief feature is also super helpful and easy to use when creating quality content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MarketMuse?

The UX is not the most user-friendly and definitely takes some getting used to Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The tool I can't live without, the tool I can't afford to use."
5/5
What do you like best about MarketMuse?

What makes MarketMuse stand out from the competition is the quality of data it brings back during the research. Unlike other tools, MarketMuse focuses on topics and clusters, not individual keywords. This approach simplifies content writing and helps me create better content faster. I especially enjoy the simplicity of the Optimize application and its Related Topics section. I don't think there's another tool with such an amount of data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MarketMuse?

The only thing I dislike is the price. MarketMuse is like the Rolls-Royce of content optimization software. It's the perfect software many wish to use, yet very few can afford it. Or maybe many do use it, and it's just me who can't afford it. Either way, the software is amazing, and I'll keep using their free version until I'm able to take advantage of their premium offering. "Recently started using MarketMuse, and loving it so far"
5/5
What do you like best about MarketMuse?

I recently started using MarketMuse to help our business refine posts on our blog. We were drawing decent web traffic for several key terms and phrases, but we also felt like we could do better. Using the tools available within MarketMuse, we could easily see how to refresh our content (or add new content) to better align with what people are searching for answers. I believe this is a win-win. We draw better, more focused traffic to our site, and users more quickly find the information which they find helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MarketMuse?

Overall, we like MarketMuse. We have some challenges with the initial onboarding. The online help was not as straightforward as it could be and sometimes directed us into a learning path that did not meet our needs. We resolved that fairly quickly and started using the tools within MarketMuse quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
