## MapInfo Pro Reviews
  ### 1. Not used to full potential

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2019

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

Can use MapBasic instructions within workspace files to automate functions. Now has a viewewr function / option again (previously proviewer).

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

Still not used to Ribbon menu bar. Some of the options aren't intuitive.

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some tables being able to be combined and others created automatically by running a workspace containing commands.

  ### 2. A good software for model building

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mayuresh P. | Design Engineer, Civil Engineering, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2018

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

1. Universal Translator; very robust.
2. All the features in a single layer. This is just awesome.
3. Interface is good.

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

1. No save button for the workspace. You have to replace the file everytime which is bit annoying sometimes.
2. Lack of keyboard shortcut keys for various tools.
3. Lack of projections. There are few projections in Gulf which are missing.
4. Copying and pasting from one file to another takes too much time when the features are more.
5. Region Inspection in Grid Manager doesn't give the correct values. I used it for extracting average elevations from the raster for the buildings.
6. You cannot build your own symbology.
7. Geo-referencing interface is not user-friendly.
8. While importing rasters in newer versions i.e. 15.2.4, you have to tick everytime for each and every raster to give the projection.
9. Direct button should be present in the layer to save as a new layer rather than searching for the layer in Save Table.
10. Topology cleaning tool should be present, if dealing with complex features.

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Flood risk assessments

  ### 3. MapInfo Pro 16.0 review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Renewables & Environment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2019

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

MapInfo features are very simplistic and convenient for user.
Once you know the system the features are just enormous.
Using it for multiple contracts and designing routes made life easy for business users.

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

Every software comes with some downfalls as well, in case of MapInfo I find it hard to zoom in and zoom out without using mouse roll. Streets accuracy is very helpful to identify the road network.

**Recommendations to others considering MapInfo Pro:**

Easy and fun once you know it.

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating round boundaries for regular runs and number of properties fall under each run has made it easier to spread properties per round.I am sure there must be a way to resolve that, the reason being is that mouse roll works some users.

  ### 4. Go Pro with MapInfo Pro

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suhani C. | Graduate Hydraulic Modeller, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2018

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

It is very handy and user friendly. We can visualise TIN and DTM in a better way in MapInfo. We can easily digitize, modify the vector layers in MapInfo. Rasters can be visualized in a very good way here. It is better in many ways like copying the data from one layer to other layer. We can also simply change the classes of raster data for our ease. It is easy and can be learnt very quickly.

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

I feel like, the newer version is bit slow. The earlier versions were faster but 15.2 is slower than others. All other features are good to go. Rasters can be visualized in a very good way here. It is better in many ways like copying the data from one layer to other layer. We can also simply change the classes of raster data for our ease. It is easy and can be learnt very quickly.

**Recommendations to others considering MapInfo Pro:**

Mapinfo is very easy and handy software.

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been using MapInfo for my projects mainly including Flood Replacement Areas, Coastal risk management and river flood modelling. MapInfo gives a better platform to edit and view gis layers.Rasters can be visualized in a very good way here. It is better in many ways like copying the data from one layer to other layer. We can also simply change the classes of raster data for our ease. It is easy and can be learnt very quickly.

  ### 5. Good platform for hydraulic model build; however latest version is not user friendly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mary Veronica A. | Graduate Engineer, Civil Engineering, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2018

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

Ability to handle and edit large sets of data without the fear of data getting corrupt
MI tools to support TUFLOW model build
The platform is relatively stable and does not crash very often as opposed to other GIS platforms
Ability to handle lines, regions and points within a single file; thereby saving time and space

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

Latest version 16.0 is not user friendly especially editing and digitisation. The user needs to click atleast 2-3 buttons just for reshaping of nodes.
Because of multiple file types supported within a single file (Lines, polygon and point), snapping to the right type becomes an issue especially for TUFLOW GIS files.
MIF format not compatible with other platforms

**Recommendations to others considering MapInfo Pro:**

For raster images, the ability to work with ASC format should be added in Vertical Mapper. Everytime, the asc is imported to grd format and then has to be exported to txt format to supply client with ASC outputs. Considering the UK water industry, the softwares proves to be a pain at times.
Digitisation and editing options should be straightforward.
Ability to view only selected data within the 'browse Table' should be included
Different types of files (line, polygon and point) within a single layer file should have different colour for nodes so that TUFLOW users can snap to the right node

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Flood Risk Alleviation Schemes, Flood Risk Mapping, For legacy models, MapInfo Pro for MIF format files are the first choice

  ### 6. Basic user

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2019

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

The way that MapInfo Pro is developed that you can start working with some applications using some utilities or programs and after you can use another different tools for doing something different to another department or customer is very useful . The customer will protect their investment with MapInfo Pro.

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

The new versions of the product work in one way and the old ones in another.

**Recommendations to others considering MapInfo Pro:**

I would like to have a product more stable when there are new versions.

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Business Analytic issues using Spectrum Spatial Analyst working with MapInfo Pro in order to load the Maps and usign some personalized program developed with MapBasic the benefits were to develop very fast a new App for a customer using their actual information from their DWH data base and extract their information do some Data quality process using Spectrum Platform and then with the cordinates from their customer create leads in order to find customer as a potencial new products.

  ### 7. MapInfo - GIS tool for UK water business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Indresh N. | Senior Engineer, Civil Engineering, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2018

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

Ease of mapping, datastore for all asset data and excellent symbology options to create the best maps. I have been using MapInfo instead of ArcGIS and is very easy to create flooding maps for UK water company. The excellent user interface has made MapInfo most used mapping. This offers wide range of tools and templates creating option which makes work easier. The transportable files and size is much lesser than other GIS tools.

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

handling of heavy files (files more than 1GB) is not possible and crashes few times. Recent changes in pro version of categorizing the tools into sub sections makes it difficult to get started in the beginning. The standard layout of MapInfo should have been retained.

**Recommendations to others considering MapInfo Pro:**

Create Flood mapping, survey plans, Handling asset data and creating inventory. The best tool for all UK water business needs, can create excellent maps for flooding, growth needs, catchment representation etc. have also used MapInfo for training purposes. This helped me to teach graduates and also senior engineers who were reluctant to use MapInof when compared to ArcGIS. This is definitely the best alternative for expensive GIS softwares. MapInfo is undoubtedly the best GIS software to use for all mapping needs and this is why is widely used by all UK Water companies.

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Flood mapping, survey plans, Handling asset data and creating inventory. Data analyis of huge data is made easy and helps to resolve the duplicate data removal. Wide range of attributes and compuattions can be done

  ### 8. MapInfo - GIS needs of UK Water

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keerthana S. | Engineer- Water, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2018

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

The interface is user friendly. Tools are easily accessible
The symbols are well defined which are globally recognized.
When the map has been created clarity is very good in all zoom level. Geo-coding is good.
Universal translater helps in converting the different file type to mapinfo tabs and vise versa which is one of the best part as we can convert any file we recive to tab files and work on MapInfo.
Creating point from CSV helps in visulising the data what we have. Editing the data is easy. Help file in MapInfo helps to understand all the tolls uses which are in MapInfo. Stepwise description is provide in help tool.

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

When creating workspace the mapinfo gets slow or hanged and then crashes because of which we lose all the data that has not been saved. When too many tables are opened the mapinfo become bit slow.

**Recommendations to others considering MapInfo Pro:**

MapInfo is user friendly compared to QGIS and ARC GIS. All the work that a Arc GIs can do can be done in MapInfo to some extend the Auto CAD work can also be replaced by using MapInfo for simple plans like Location plan or any 1D plans that can be created using it.

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working for Manhole and Ancilaary survey plans, Solution plans and extracting GIS data from clients database. Creating some manhole from X Y coordinate data which are in CSV format. Some calculation using the SQL queries. Creating thematic plans as and when required to represent some data.

  ### 9. GIS made easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sphurti S. | Graduate Engineer Modelling, Civil Engineering, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2018

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

As a Hydraulic modeller, use of mapinfo pro is on regular basis....
SQL helps alot to sort things according to requirements
The minor details for layer on map is really helpful to categorise using our specified range with use of our own colour choice
Drawing layout has many features which are really helpful to give specified map drawing according to requirement of client

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

If mapinfo pro is used through Remote Desktop it’s really slow, it could help if any provision for use of fast speed mapinfo pro through Remote Desktop

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hydraulic modelling
For waste water network modelling using rasterised the LiDAR ro use elevation for particular propert

  ### 10. If you're into hydraulic modelling, this is your GIS software.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaditya P. | Hydraulic Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2018

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

Mapinfo has many features which help me in creating the best GIS data for my updates to hydraulic model. Most of the times, I use the spatial and Table tools for majority of my work. In Spatial, mostly erase, disaggregate, combine, polyline to polygon, buffer for various tasks throughout the project lifecycle. Also we create Layout plans for survey scoping (flow survey, manhole survey) and using raster data we create accurate maps. Many tools are also present which make life better and you can also create your own tool because of mapbasic integration. Overall satisfied with project.

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

Since the new Mapinfo layout, the Table sorting has slowed down a bit. Can make an improvement there. Also, when zooming in and out, sometimes if you're in middle of editing or drawing new objects, it visually creates some problems, but gets sorted after you zoom in and out. So thats one. Overall I would say they have made pretty good with new update. So cheers for that.

**Recommendations to others considering MapInfo Pro:**

Ease of use, customisation of ribbon/toolbar, strong SQL and MApbasic for Automation.

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Updating GIS files from using data from each other, like populaton updates, trade updates, sewer analysis, survey scoping etc. Most useful when we want interlayer data extraction. Also buffer is useful in many situations like whenever I have to rule out set of assets from survey for say being near watercourse or railway tracks, that is very useful there. Also if you use Mapinfo with some of the tools (eg. Stylist), you can easily manipulate data however way you want.

  ### 11. It's okay, but I feel it's lacking

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Environmental Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2018

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

I like that it's something familiar and works with our exisiting structure.

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

I feel that it's lacking in it's ability to do more complex things like web GIS and mobile application development. I understand that there's spatial ware, but it would be nice if it was like ArcGIS where it's all the same software.
I also don't like MapBasic. As someone who works in Private industry, it severely limits my ability to build skills relevant to other companies. Why not utilize Python which is widely applied through multiple industries and skills sets.
I don't like that MapInfo is not nearly as widely used in the United States as Arc, it severely limits me in my professional development. It's even hard to find any kind of mentors out there because it's used by such a small amount of people...

**Recommendations to others considering MapInfo Pro:**

Get Arc. It's worth it, MapInfo is barely scraping by and is playing catchup. It may look slightly less expensive then Arc on the surface, but it's cost is more in annoyance and a severe lack of ability to really do much compared to how comprehensive ESRI's offerings are.

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In all honestly, there is nothing that MapInfo solves that can't be solved at the same cost and more efficently then other GIS softwares. Our department is already talking about switching within the next 5 years to ESRI because in all honesty we find MapInfo to be a rather limited software.

We use MapInfo the same way we have been using it for over a decade, except we have to use other softwares to compensate for MapInfo's lack of ability. We use QGIS quite a bit as well as a desktop version of ArcGIS 10.2 to handle certain analysis and conversions not supported by MapInfo.

  ### 12. Maps are good too

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth H. | Surveyor, Health and Safety Advisor, Construction, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2018

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

This package is very good and can create tables from data, data from tables, reports, maps with all kinds of data on them - however I just use it for quite simple maps. It finds addresses in a flash from text or postcode and I can populate the map with our specific data and produce block plans and location plans for information reports easily.

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

There's a quirk when in the layout tab the placing a shape in the map, I struggle to get out of the shape command.

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The clean lines to the OS maps show the property lines are of great benefit when creating a location map for the insurers or solicitors.

  ### 13. Good Experience with MapInfo

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Utkarsha K. | Graduate Engineer- Hydraulic Modelling, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2018

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

MapInfo is user friendly, easy to work with. The best part is visualization of terrain and results. It has good interface and its files are easily accessible and can be opened in other software. It has good conversion tools and processing tools which comes handy when we have to make edits to given data or change format of the data.

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

I have worked in TUFLOW where MapInfo is used for digitizing, the thing I don't like is MapInfo is .tab format cannot be used directly in TUFLOW and every time there is change in .tab format, it needs to be exported to .mif format before running.

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being a flood modeller, MapInfo is used for digitizing river reach and layers for the model built. It is also used for visualizing results, conversion of raster file formats, processing vector file format, etc.

  ### 14. I produce thematic maps for OMP-GIS using MapInfo Pro for decision making in the plantations.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony L. | Assistant GIS Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2018

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

I like its UI which is more like MS office. Easy to manoeuvre around.

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

Not that I think of any. I pretty much like my experience with the software. However I still have a lot to learn and uncover with the MapInfo Pro.

**Recommendations to others considering MapInfo Pro:**

Like any other software, the upgrades to mapinfo today will help you accomplish most likely any GIS related task that uncovers the impossibilities and gives you end result you deserve. MapInfo has built-ins as well. for example our OMP-GIS uses MapInfo as the primary host. It's fantastic I would say. Even more interesting its user interface has been transformed and is more or less similar to Ms Office.

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Here's a few issues we had to address with the product [Pest & Diseases, Crop Yield & Production, Soil and Leaf Samples, (Nutrient Deficiency), rainfall, LULC and even the Terrain Analysis].

The company benefited through the Company Certified RSPO audit program done annually because we have evidence to prove we are complying with their P&C in the OMP GIS Database. The host (Mapinfo Pro) has been a Decision support tool for managers and agronomists in the industry.

  ### 15. Increasingly user-friendly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul G. | Principal, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2019

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

Mapinfo has become more and more intuitive over the years, and has kept well up with progress. It's raster capabilities are powerful and user-friendly. I love being able to work a map from within layout view, that has been a game-changer for me.

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

There's not a lot to dislike, it can crash the odd time, but no more than its competitors.

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickly analyse and present data.

  ### 16. Mapinfo Pro 12.5.5(64-bit)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2019

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

I like the fact that you can make multiple layouts from one single map and every Layout becomes a map.
I like that you can make changes in individual Layouts without changing the source map window.

There has been tremendous development in the MapInfo pro compared to last couple of years.

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

64 bit is a different experience. It does crashes when too many maps and layout are created.
I would love to have more Spatial Analysis tools which do not come with basic version.

Street level geocoding should be in the basic package.

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All kinds of mapping, spatial querries,

  ### 17. Flood modelling

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samir A. | Graduate Engineer Hydraulic Modelling, Civil Engineering, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2018

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

Raster analysis is pretty good and easy using the MapInfo. Converting the raster format to shape files (i.e using the MapInfo to convert flood Rasters to shape files) is very easy compared to other platforms like QGIS. Also, merging the Rasters with different resolutions is very nice using MapInfo.

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

Two different formats when working with the MapInfo i.e tab and mif. Vector processing is somewhat tedious when compared to QGIS vector processing. Projection difference when mif file is converted into shapefile and tried to use in QGIS. there was issue in projection of the same layer while editing.

**Recommendations to others considering MapInfo Pro:**

Recommended to use Mapinfo Pro while processing Rasters.

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As stated earlier, I used Mapinfo Pro to process the results of flood rasters and convert these into shapefiles. Processing is very reliable and smooth.

  ### 18. Fantastic Mapping Program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2019

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

The ease of use is wonderful. I learned mapping with ESRI products, and I can say that MapInfo Pro is much more user friendly and easier to use. The universal translator that is built in is an impressive tool for translating the native MapInfo .tab files to pretty much any other format that is needed.

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

The lack of customization for symbols is something that could definitely be improved on. Also, being able to undo more that once would be very helpful.

**Recommendations to others considering MapInfo Pro:**

The technical support for MapInfo is lacking. If you have a question or issue, you are better off trying to google the question or use their online forums.

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were needing a user friendly mapping software for addressing and basic mapping purposes, and MapInfo Pro has met and exceeded those needs.

  ### 19. 20+ year love/hate relationship

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve W. | Senior Strategic Planner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2018

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

The software is easier to use than most other GIS software, lower priced, great tech support and the developers and management are very accessible and open to feedback.

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

When you use the software as heavily as I do, you find any faults or shortcomings. Sometimes these do not get fixed as rapidly as I would like, because the majority of casual users do not report on the same problems.

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the insurance industry there are many geography-based codes that must be assigned (wind speeds for building codes, tax districts, fire districts, rating territories, flood zones, etc). Also developing where lines should be drawn for grouping similar exposures for ratemaking or determining where sales offices should go for optimal growth and minimal cannibalization. All this ensures greater data quality and effective use of resources and capital.

  ### 20. 20 year user of MapInfo

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark D. | GIS Analyst and Safety Coordinator, Paper & Forest Products, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2019

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

Ease of use, ease of customization, easy learning curve and low cost.

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

I can't think of anything I really dislike about the program

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our business is natural resources. We use MapInfo Pro in every step of the management process. MapInfo Pro allows us to visualize and analyze in ways not possible without it.

  ### 21. Mapinfo Review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2019

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

Remove polygon overlaps & self intersections

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

The ease in which .shp files can be used

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MapBasic automation

  ### 22. Best of breed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anders H. | Solutions Strategist GIS, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2019

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

A long time market leading GIS tool that for some time just did not evolved - just got back on the thrown. Ease of use and powerful for Map creation, advanced spatial anslysis and now also with raster data.

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

That the product sort of been falling behind competition for some years. But since about two versions it is back

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All sort of spatial and geographical challenges where the map becomes the mean of understanding. Everything from site planning to optimizing resources and transports.

  ### 23. Great visualizations and easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2019

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

The best part of using MapInfo, compared to other mapping platforms, is its easy to use interface and availability of tools that make mapping workflows simpler and faster.

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

I wish there would be an option to export to an interactive map format (ex: export to Leaflet) and it would also be nice to be able to export to Adobe Illustrator.

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We always have plenty of mapping requests coming in, and thankfully MapInfo allows us to work quickly and still produce high-quality outputs.

  ### 24. Easy to use GIS software for GIS and non-GIS users.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Environmental Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2018

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**

Much easier to learn and use then other GIS softwares but still offers a lot of complex options. Final maps produced are very professional. Bing roads and images are awesome and help us make quick desisions and turn around quality work faster then before we had them. Updated and more advanced tools are really nice. It took awhile to get used to the new format but slowly getting used to it.

**What do you dislike about MapInfo Pro?**

All maps from earlier versions did not transfer very smoothly. Some tools are very slow and others will crash.

**Recommendations to others considering MapInfo Pro:**

This is a great product if you are new to GIS, easy to learn and use and can make maps after a few days of learning.

**What problems is MapInfo Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Field effieciency and sales support.

  ### 25. Mapinfo Pro My Choice

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civil Engineering | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2018

**What do you like best about MapInfo Pro?**
