It's good but could've been great though" 4/5 What do you like best about Mapbox Mobile? 1. There are tons of map styles available with Mapbox 2. It’s very easy to customize the map tiles 3. Beautiful base maps that can be modified via click-editing 4. Recommendations to others considering Mapbox Mobile: 1. Layout your requirements and your budget first and in most cases Mapbox turns out to be a good choice 2. There is a steep learning curve so beware of that 3. Mapbox is available on all platforms so it's a one-stop-shop for all of your map requirements Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Mapbox Mobile solving and how is that benefiting you? I have used Mapbox in building two things 1. An AR application that showcases the junk/pollution in outer space. 2. In a geo-spacial analysis on a map interface. Benefits: 1. Mapbox has plugins ready for engines like Unity and Unreal. 2. With Mapbox JS it's very easy to build maps on a web application. 3. Mapbox supports other web graphic libraries like deck.gl or even kepler.gl which is an excellent geospatial analysis tool for large-scale data sets. 4. Vision SDK offers a nice AR view while driving that’s not too distracting. One example is the the persistent arrow shown on the road which points to the destination and appears under vehicles on the route as to not obstruct the driver’s view of any vehicles in front. We used Mapbox to solve common safety issues with car fleets by tracking the current leader car. We got the most benefit from the Navigation SDK when polling for the leader car’s destination. What I like most is that you already have preloaded information, you will never start a map from scratch. There are many map styles that you can configure. The app as such, is light, installs very fast, does not stay stuck, is synchronized excellently with the version you are editing on other devices, at the moment. You can count or verify data while you go to work. It has an interface very similar to the one you use on your desktop, so you do not have to waste time to learn how to use it. I can assure that the app works very well, however, personally, I like to work and visualize my data on a PC or any desktop with a large screen. I have vision problems, so visualizing small letters on a screen of my mobile phone is difficult. You can always adjust the scale and display larger objects within the map. Recommendations to others considering Mapbox Mobile: I recommend Mapbox Mobile, because it is one of the most stable and light options that you can have on your mobile or tablet.. It does not give errors, it's quite efficient. I recommend it above all for quick queries in your map styles, or to view tilesets or datasets, first my phone does not allow it (it is not so fast) and secondly in my opponent, there are many details that you can not appreciate very well. In the organization where I work, is a national governing body of Geography and Cartography, many times, I have to visit local organizations to dictate inductions and workshops and not always can take all the necessary equipment for this task, that is why mapbox Mobile is a perfect solution for these situations, you can carry all the information you need in the cloud, easy, fast, simple and without problems.
