It's perfect for keeping costs down if your accounting needs are relatively small, and you can pay for the extras if your business grows. I like that it's desktop-based, which means no loading times compared to web-based options, and I feel more in control of my data with all the security of having it saved locally. It has all the features I have at work on professional paid software, albeit more basic, but it's perfectly suitable for the size of my freelancing. The interface is customizable, letting me have a bespoke view without the extras I don't use. The initial setup was fairly easy, thanks to its nice and simple interface. Really great value, and I'm more than happy to invest in the paid-for features if my side hustle expands. **What do you dislike about Manager - Free Accounting Software?** I have a finance background, so understood the accounting logic and terminology, but can see that this might be confusing for someone with zero accounting experience. Makes invoicing is very fast and very easy. The accounting and Inventory portions of the software are great. We always use this efficient software for invoicing and tracking our payments, So Manager makes it so easy to manage banking transaction. **What do you dislike about Manager - Free Accounting Software?** The software is very expensive as compared to its competitors. The Manager software side is very difficult to use. The one problem in this software is that the reports can be difficult to set up and new users have a steep learning curve. Don't do manual entry of transactions into a bank account you are going to import from. Do one or the other: either manual entry of all transactions OR import of all transactions. It very simple to use and learn and has a very active community ready to help users solve their problems with the app. The App is very fast and takes up small system resources. The Desktop (Single User) version is totally free and has all the features. Has Fixed &Intangible asset, inventory, AR, AP, payroll etc and various reports that are not present in popular paid accounting apps. Invoices issued and received have status so you can see if an invoice is paid or unpaid and if it over due or almost due. The app is constantly improved with updates and new features added every week and sometimes days. **What do you dislike about Manager - Free Accounting Software?** Audit trail and User access settings needs some minor improvements, Also the app has Sales and purchases order features but doesn't track the fulfilment of them. Bulk printing (e.g. Print all Payslips from 1st June to 30th June)is also not available at the moment. **Recommendations to others considering Manager - Free Accounting Software:** Manager gives you high quality accounting software for free (single User) and at a very low cost for the Server and Cloud Versions.
