Windows, Mac, and Linux Operating Systems plus an ever growing list of Third Party app are supported, and includes several options for automation and reporting. Integration with Active Directory, SAML and third party vulnerability scanners like Rapid7 iVM and Tenable are also supported, and implementation is a a breeze. Customer Support is also available voa email and Live Chat, where support consulatant are very helpful. **What do you dislike about ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus?** Support for BIOS patches is currently limited to Dell devices. However, support for other vendors like HP and Lenovo areon the product roadmap. Reporting options such as filtering and vertain metrics like 'Average time to patch' are also limited, however these are also a work in progress on the product roadmap. Custom query can also be requested via Customer support. **What problems is ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Patch Manager Plus provides central management for all of my endpoints, and allows for controlled deployment of patches, including automation. Support of Third party patches is also an added bonus that other prodcuts do not support out-of-box. Using Top Priority patches is also very helpful to quickly identify Critical vulnerabilities for Windows devices that are linked to known THreat Vulnerabilities Reporting is also customisable and provides better insights than other products we have tried. ### 13. We don't have to log into servers manually to fix issues, savings us hours when patching our whole server estate each month. The customer support is great as well, they respond to you within minutes. I like being able to have better control over which patches I want installed, as Windows Update typically has you install everything aside from a few optional updates when patching. Given that I work for a large organization where we cannot restart servers during work hours, I apprecaite that the software has the capability for admins to schedule restarts. **What do you dislike about ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus?** The support team -- most times I contact them, I feel like I'm asked to provide irrelevant information, even when I provide specifics that should point to very specific systems/areas where their support engineers should be checking. It has taken nearly 2-4 weeks for every case I've opened with them to finally get resolved or they try to point to other software applications or services claiming they are the likely cause of issues until you can provide them evidence otherwise. I have had to escalate nearly every case I've opened because otherwise I'd be asked to keep providing irrelevant information and my case would take even longer to be looked at by engineers. We've also recently started encountering issues with the software itself -- most recently, we began using the scheduled shutdowns functionality had had a problem with two scheduled reboot tasks set to run on the 3rd and 4th weeks every month. While it ran as expected for the first month, for some reason, the system decided to run both tasks the FIRST week of the following month without any visible reason/cause -- the schedule still showed the tasks as monthly tasks falling on the correct weeks, but also showed that it ran the task the first week of the month (this was also confirmed due to some end user reports that servers/services were down). This is very concerning because we obviously cannot trust a product that decides to take action we haven't scheduled it to perform -- we currently have an active support case open with them on this issue and at least two of their support agents so far have already checked and confirmed we have everything configured correctly. Beyond this, since using this software to patch servers, we've also found that we're experiencing unplanned reboots/shutdowns on servers managed by the software that we weren't experiencing the same problems prior, so we've actually paused use of the software across our organization until we receive a cause and fix for at least the issue with scheduled reboot tasks being run on weeks they're not supposed to. **What problems is ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows for better control when deciding which patches to deploy to which servers. I know this solves problems for us because we have several web servers where we don't want to update Java or other applications/services and prior to Patch Manager Plus, we weren't always able to choose which updates we wanted to install in Windows Updates. ### 45. We are testing it out with about 20 systems and so far it is working very well. We had just been using WSUS previously and we were finding that a lot of systems were not getting updated, especially if they were not on the network for long periods of time. PMP takes care of that and updates the systems no matter where they are. It also handles many 3rd party apps as well as hardware updates like drivers and system firmware.
