While the tool is very useful for Active Directory auditing and investigations, the available O365 reports feel more limited compared to what is available for on-premise AD. It has so many features that can be used and the setup can be very complex if you really want to dive in, but the nice thing is that it can be done over time. The initial setup to get it reporting and allowing you to make changes from it are very easy and quick. I have had very few issues with it and when I did have to reach out to support, they were very helpful. Quick to respond and answered all my questions. One of the best features of this product is the cost. **What do you dislike about ManageEngine ADAudit Plus?** I’d say the only issue I have with any of the products is how much RAM it takes to run the applications. At least in the past, though, RAM was cheap. **What problems is ManageEngine ADAudit Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** It provides a central place to monitor Active Directory and lets me run the key reports I need to pull each month for SOX reporting. It constantly keeps an eye on Active Directory, so if someone starts failing a bunch of logins, deleting a ton of files, or messing with admin privileges, I get an email or text alert right away. It also saves a massive amount of headaches when audit time rolls around, since it has hundreds of built-in reports ready to go for compliance stuff like HIPAA or GDPR. Basically, it gives me one simple dashboard to see exactly who is doing what, meaning I don't have to waste time writing manual scripts just to figure out what's going on in our network. **What do you dislike about ManageEngine ADAudit Plus?** it’s not completely perfect and there are a few quirks you just have to work around. However, the overall ease of use of the product is one of my favorite things about it. Installation wasn't hard. Upgrading isn't hard. The automation basically makes the product hands-off, and lets you focus your time on day-to-day tasks, all while knowing that ADAudit has your back and is keeping an extra set of eyes on your Active Directory environment. It also isn't very resource-heavy, so you can always find a server to install it on and not worry about having to take a performance hit. **What do you dislike about ManageEngine ADAudit Plus?** I can't really say I dislike anything about ADAudit Plus. It's lightweight, it does what it needs to do and does so quite well. If anything, the product can be a little intimidating, due to the number of things it can keep watch over can be overwhelming for admins that are a little younger in their careers, but if you do your research and know what you'd like it to report on, it becomes less intimidating. **What problems is ManageEngine ADAudit Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** As with many smaller companies, the IT department is a little understaffed, and everyone wears multiple hats. As such, a product like ADAudit Plus is helpful in that, once it's been set up, can report things to the admin team via scheduled emails, which means that you're reading a set of reports in the morning as you start your day, which takes the look out of manually checking your Active Directory logs. It also can notify you about potential account exploitation, which is nice. When we come in, we already know who tried to log in outside of their normal hours, who was unable to log on (and why), and who changed their password, created AD accounts, etc. It's very useful and presents the data in pleasing reports that have just the right amount of data, and a line count so you can see if the report is empty and not waste time on it. Overall, it's granted us better visibility into our AD environment, and you don't have to spend time logging in, unless you need to drill down deeper. ### 11. This could be an indicator of something malicious going on, or serves as a useful tool for being notified when changes are being made on the network. It has helped us troubleshoot login issues as well where users were being locked out of their accounts for unknown reasons. The file auditing is helpful as well and it's allowed us to determine who deleted or moved files be it accidental or otherwise. It can even audit your GPO for any changes. If your company faces audits, the reporting makes it easy to export the necessary reports without having to do too much work yourself. This application has allowed me to quickly get the information required. **What do you dislike about ManageEngine ADAudit Plus?** Sometimes the reports I am looking for are not automatically. Mange Engine are more then happy to help you set these up though (for next version release). **Recommendations to others considering ManageEngine ADAudit Plus:** It's easy to setup. Easy to use. Gets quick results. I love this application. I wish I had more use for it! **What problems is ManageEngine ADAudit Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Complicated Exchange reports can easily be exported and produced for management or auditors. ### 49. From GPO changes, to user logons and also modified attributes. We send out a daily report to our Support Desk each day to show failed logins for particular users, which could alert them of an attack vector or more likely someone that hasn't changed their password across all systems. **What do you dislike about ManageEngine ADAudit Plus?** When trying to access archive data, it must be pulled from a repository rather than more readily available in the application. **What problems is ManageEngine ADAudit Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tracking changes to our AD environment to ensure our security is scoped appropriately. Also use it for random change tracking requests on groups and user logons. ### 50. Most reports are canned and what you want. Setup is easy and you can get it going and reporting pretty fast. **What do you dislike about ManageEngine ADAudit Plus?** There was a change in the most recent versions that let you only look at the most recent data without loading archived databases. Sometimes the site freezes and needs to be restarted which was kind of annoying. **Recommendations to others considering ManageEngine ADAudit Plus:** This is an easy solution to implement and gives plenty of reports that you can use mostly every day. It is the first place I go when there is a user or AD issue. **What problems is ManageEngine ADAudit Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were able to see locked out employees quickly.
