## ManagedMethods Reviews
  ### 1. First Educational customer and years later ... still here!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim M. | Technology Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2019

**What do you like best about ManagedMethods?**

We don't know what we don't know! With some policy setup we start to learn what we don't know and can act on it. I also like they are very easy to work with on change. Many changes you see come from all of us users.

**What do you dislike about ManagedMethods?**

I would not say dislikes ... if they were unwilling to change then it would be dislike. I would like to see better and easier reporting on filtering Apps based on Student or Staff OU. I would also like to see filtering based upon install base .. 10 users vs 100 users also against staff and student. I also would like to see subject matter in email more directed to issue found. All of this will come with maturity of the product.

**Recommendations to others considering ManagedMethods:**

We did look at CloudLock and SysCloud prior to choosing Managed Methods.

**What problems is ManagedMethods solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits .. many! It allows us visibility into content that is 100% outside of us with applications and data.

  ### 2. Best CASB for the Buck

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ed N. | CSO / Technology Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2019

**What do you like best about ManagedMethods?**

I like the ease of implementation and the fact that it disables accounts when one of our user accounts is trying to log in outside the US. This lets us know if a user account may have been compromised.

**What do you dislike about ManagedMethods?**

I dislike some of the email alerts. I personally would like to see a bit more details in the emails as they come through. Managed Methods is working on this with me, so hopefully, that will mean no dislikes for them.

**Recommendations to others considering ManagedMethods:**

If you are looking for a CASB solution for Google or Office 365, I would highly recommend Managed Methods. They are great to work with and have been very flexible in adding requested features.

**What problems is ManagedMethods solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have had issues with staff storying PII information online. To make matters worse, a few had even shared that information outside our domain. We were able to use Managed Methods to see these issues as well as correct them.

  ### 3. Full Feature CASB/CASP

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew W. | Coordinator Network Systems, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

**What do you like best about ManagedMethods?**

I like everything about their product. I prefer it over Cloudlock/Aperture. The thing I like the most is the "discovery" part of the solution. Having this product makes request for information extremely easy. And it generates a great report of it too. Whenever we search for different things in pictures, such as violence, it does a great job at flagging it. There's other things that it constantly finds and alerts. Such as, profanity. There's a lot of prebuilt rules and quarantine policies already, which are great for going live and then refining it. The engineering team from managed methods really know what they are doing. Especially for education environments. They know what is "best practice" for education.

**What do you dislike about ManagedMethods?**

Nothing. Everything works great and the reporting feature is great too. I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to say? Could we have it for free? I know "Bark" is free but, it's not a prevention tool like this. I want to quarantine our data that's trying to get exfiltrated.

**Recommendations to others considering ManagedMethods:**

Great product. Definitely test out the others but you'll more than likely end up at Managed Methods.

**What problems is ManagedMethods solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Discovered files, folders and emails containing policy violating material. One of the added benefits that I "realized" during the POC stage, was when we had a request for information be requested from our department. We were able to easily search every email, message, picture, document for specific strings, any file for what the requester was looking for.

  ### 4. MM is simply the best

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Farrah S. | Chief Technology Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2019

**What do you like best about ManagedMethods?**

We've been utilizing the platform for over a year now and have nothing but positive results. The platform, we were able to get to fit our district with policies and it has given us a sense of relief to know that we have the "extra" controls to our Google users, especially when it comes to our student accounts. We are able to get notifications on suspicious events, policy violations, risks /malware pertaining to emails - very crucial and we do not take lightly.

**What do you dislike about ManagedMethods?**

There is nothing that we dislike, nada.

**What problems is ManagedMethods solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Suspicious logins with a map is what we like as well, to show where our users within our domain are logging in. Reports is a benefit for sure, as a handy tool that we use on a monthly basis that we share with our Admin team. We started using Google last September, a directive that came from our Super after school started. Because we were coming from Exchange, we felt that we needed a platform to assist us with managing accounts and we are glad to have found Managed Methods for that. It gives us that extra "sigh of relief".

  ### 5. It's a great product for a reasonable price.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin F. | Systems Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2019

**What do you like best about ManagedMethods?**

It allows me to provide the investigative resources that our stakeholders need to provide our students with a secure digital learning environment.

**What do you dislike about ManagedMethods?**

The UI can be a bit confusing to non-technical users.

**Recommendations to others considering ManagedMethods:**

They make a strong and workable product. Plus, they listen to their customers and are willing to make changes.

**What problems is ManagedMethods solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Managed Method in concert with other monitoring software to manage our school districts cloud environment. Specifically, its ability to have an easily accessible audit trail of a document or items activity in the cloud has been very useful for both bullying and student safety-related issues. Managed Method provides the Who, What, Where and when of cloud activity.

  ### 6. School District Managed Methods Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2019

**What do you like best about ManagedMethods?**

Managed Methods has a lot of helpful features when managing a school district. Our most used (and the feature I used the most / subsequently enjoyed) was the G Suite Email filter. We were able to scan through for common breaches of terms and help keep students more safe by looking for bullying and depression related incidents.

**What do you dislike about ManagedMethods?**

The only item I could think of in terms of a dislike for Managed Methods is the price. Don't get me wrong, it's fairly reasonable, but when I am on the tight budget of a small school district it becomes difficult to pay for luxuries such as Managed Methods.

**Recommendations to others considering ManagedMethods:**

Those looking into Managed Methods: If you are looking for a fantastic all in one solution for cloud filtering and management, this is an excellent company and software suite to use.

**What problems is ManagedMethods solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Managed Methods to combat cyber bullying, school violence, depression / suicide related incidents, and malware primarily. As a secondary, we also scan for grooming and other violations.

  ### 7. Awesome and functional

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jimi P. | Director of Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2019

**What do you like best about ManagedMethods?**

The ability to have an eye in student drives. Policy violations happen all the time without notification. Managed Methods allows me to dive into drives, emails and documents and see details about offending content and emails. Love the ability to remove an email from EVERYONE'S email. I also love that I can see all the apps being associated with logins for my Google domain and deauthorize them if need be.

**What do you dislike about ManagedMethods?**

I thoroughly enjoy the app and have nothing negative to say.

**What problems is ManagedMethods solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As stated above I love the fetures around my domain.

  ### 8. Initial Review of Managed Methods

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vince H. | Director ITS, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2019

**What do you like best about ManagedMethods?**

Their interface is very intuitive. Some of the other products we reviewed had interfaces that were difficult to follow what was happening.

**What do you dislike about ManagedMethods?**

Since we are relatively new to the product, we have not found anything that we dislike yet. I;m sure we will as we travel further down this road.

**Recommendations to others considering ManagedMethods:**

Managed Methods gets the K-12 world--from product features to price.

**What problems is ManagedMethods solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our main purpose is to monitor Google and O365. We are concerned about what data is where. These new tools are great for end users but can be a nightmare for data security.

  ### 9. A great piece of software to monitor and view emails and documents form Google.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris O. | Technology Specilaist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2019

**What do you like best about ManagedMethods?**

Managed methods makes it easy to monitor activities of email and documents.. It can detect suspicious logins and blacklisted country logins. It can then suspend an account if it is detected logging in from a blacklisted country. It can also detect keywords that you setup through a custom risks and policy settings tab. Each time a policy is violated it will send you an email detailing the risk. The emails can be adjusted to come in at certain intervals depending on what you want. The support from them is very quick and helpful.

**What do you dislike about ManagedMethods?**

The policies are not 100 percent fully customizable. You are unable to specify exact emails for certain policies. But overall it is a great product and the small dislikes outweigh the huge benefits of the software.

**Recommendations to others considering ManagedMethods:**

It is a great product and it works extremely well. It will help you keep track of suspicious logins and allow you to monitor emails and documents in G suite or Microsoft 365. I definitely recommend this product!

**What problems is ManagedMethods solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can view emails and documents and track it for keywords. This has helped us find a few instances in which company products weren't being used for the intended purpose. It has also detected a few blacklist country logins that have since been remedied. It makes it easy to monitor for suspicious logins and inappropriate use of company applications.

  ### 10. Great Product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brenda B. | Technology Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2019

**What do you like best about ManagedMethods?**

The customer support is GREAT! They are very response to help handle a current crisis, i.e. have to delete this email from all inboxes immediately. I also appreciate their willingness to listen to feedback and make changes/updates to their product based on the feedback.

**What do you dislike about ManagedMethods?**

There is nothing I dislike about this product.

**What problems is ManagedMethods solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I feel a greater level of safety/security for my network and users because of Managed Methods.
