**What do you like best about MakeShift?**

I like how Makeshift integrates with Bamboo and thus making it easy to add new employees and plot premade roatitions. This makes releasing a schedule very easy.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

I would like makeshift to add colour codes so that different shifts are easy to see to the eye. For my program being able to split a shift to see time off is essential to completing payroll. While a note can be made to a shift, if it is not easily visible, it can easily be missed in the downloaded schedule.

I would also do not like that you do not have the option to change a shift for a specific timeframe but rather have to do so for each individual tile. Doing a date range would save a lot of time.

**What problems is MakeShift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Makeshift saves me time by notifying employees of changes to shifts and available shifts. Prior to Makeshift our schedule was in excel and a lot of time was spent on formating with Makeshift the setup may take some time but the ongoing scheduling saves a lot of time and its easy.

User friendly, easy to navigate for the team. Easy for the employee to use

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

The employee is able to remove his shift after the schedule is publised. This is a big concern! It will be great to be able to have sub job to assign a departement and then a position.

**What problems is MakeShift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving issue for employees but on the admin part I'm not sure this a plus for us. I can be more productive but I dont have the view that I need and the employee removing their availability is a huge issue.

Makeshift is generally pretty easy to use. I would consider it organized and for the most part, user friendly

Can be confusing when posting shifts, but this is to be expected when learning a new program.

Fulfilling shifts that have been cancelled, reviewing shift bids and seeing who is most eligble

**What do you like best about MakeShift?**

Being able to see who is working each day.
Being able to make custom schedules depending on the needs of the the day to day business.
Easy to navigate the various menus.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

Mobile has no dark mode.
Trying to edit a schedule on mobile can accidentally move shifts around when trying to scroll through the schedule employee list.
Having availability in the schedule table makes some rows larger making it slightly more difficult to make the schedules

Makeshift keeps all the employee availability and information in one place for easy tracking of weekly hours.

I like the Dashboard feature best about MakeShift, I love how it give you quick views of certain important options/tasks.

There's not really anything I don't like about MakeShift.

Scheduling is one of my main issues, MakeShift make it so easy to maintain an accurate and updated schedule.

**What do you like best about MakeShift?**

Makeshift allows you to copy and paste schedules. Week by week, which is helpful. It's easy to create pay codes and create individual profiles per person. Easy to log in and also allows users to edit the time stamp should issues arise.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

RAINN supports 24/7  services. It can be not easy to schedule those working varying shifts month to month. It may be helpful if makeshift could separate the groups of shifts available by the shift hours. 11pm-7am, 7am-3pm, 3-11pm etc. Maybe easy visuals for reporting could also be helpful.

**What problems is MakeShift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's easy to find the support specialist on shift and to delete or edit the shift as needed. Makeshift also helps with adding up the hours completed by month and calculate how much is spent by month.

The scheduling aspect is incredibly easy to use and navigate. Easy to send messages to an entire group all at once. All information needed is a click away. Not a lot of computer knowledge is needed in order to operate the app effectively.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

Sometimes to clocking in and out function is more difficult to use from my phone. But that's a minor inconvenience really.

It easily posts and updates everyone on what their upcoming schedule will be. Everyone gets the notifications and it is easy to read and understand.

I like that I can access Makeshift from my
Phone or other device! It automatically opens up to my schedule. I can easily see when I am scheduled to work as well as other shifts that are available!

I really enjoy most everything about Makeshift, but I would like a chat or an option to send messages directly to other employees. I also think a forum or posting board to share thoughts and ideas would be great

its very easy to mannage my own schedule and see what shifts i have been assigned to me. I can see open shifts in my department and see who I a working with that day.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

I wish we were able to use make shift to clock in and out instead of using a separate website to do so. It would be helpful to be able to see open shifts in all department at once, for the entire week.

Makeshift helps keep my staff organized and lets them know who they are going to be seing on what day. it is really nice that youre able to put notes in for each shift and staff only needs to look in one location for a shift and the addresses

**What do you like best about MakeShift?**

The most helpful part is that it integrates with ADP.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

Makeshift is not great for healthcare staffing. There are so many other options that do staffing much more efficiently. It's unfortunate that you can't put in a fake employee or temp employee if you have agency staffing scheduled. Other staff then think the shifts aren't covered so they are more likely to not call in. This has been one of the biggest barriers to using Makeshift and the number one reason why we are exploring other options for our organization.

**What problems is MakeShift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Makeshift truly doesn't solve that many problems. Makeshift is cumbersome and takes a lot more effort than many other scheduling software systems out there. It does work for scheduling your own staff and copying their schedule forward week after week. Again, there are more efficient ways that Makeshift could benefit from adapting.

I like how user friendly Makeshift is, especially for the schedulers and users. everything is direct and straight to the point and accessible from multiple screens

it's not very customizable. there are a few features that would be greatly helpful to be added, especially when it comes to pulling payroll related reports

The main solution that Makeshift provided us, and our reason for switching from Shiftboard, was the time management feature and clocking in/out in various provinces across the country

Copying and pasting schedules from previous weeks, easy to navigate and block off time off for employees. Pretty intuitive and easy to learn the tricks of how to navigate for minimum time spent on scheduling.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

Downsides of MakeShift are the employee's ability to update their own availability. This leads to scheduling errors when employers don't receive notification that an employee has made a change. The schedule view is also a let down - it doesn't allow for sorting a day to see only employees in chronological order of when they are working.

**What problems is MakeShift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall MakeShift is solving the problem of too much time spent working out schedules and managing labor from week to week and allows for a big picture of how to adjust on a daily basis.

**What do you like best about MakeShift?**

Drag and drop features, specifically for use on mobile/iPad. When using MakeShift on the iPad, it feels intuitive and easy.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

It would be nice if it was easier/simpler to track what changes have been made to the schedule, and who made them. For instance, instead of being able to audit all the changes made to one employee's schedule, what about auditing all the changes one specific administrator has made? This has come up for me a couple of times as something that might be useful.

**What problems is MakeShift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is making it easier to visualize both overstaffed job sites and understaffed job sites, which makes my job of balancing all of the job sites remarkably easy. It also allows employees to see exactly what they can and can't pick up.

I like how accesible all the different tabs are, whether that be schedules, company messages, available shifts for pick up, or any of my shift changes. So helpful!

I think it can use some more modern details...for example, not having to refresh more than once after a new notification or shift change, while in the app.

Scheduling is made simple by allowing you to create shift templates while including employee breaks included in the time. Makeshift links directly with ADP allowing you to easily track hours in the system.

One thing I wish makeshift had as a feature would be a way for employees to easily talk to one another.

Super easy to copy schedules over onto subsequent weeks, which is a real time-saver

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

It is difficult for employees to see everybody's schedules. Downloading and printing out the schedules does not give an employee a good picture of how the day is staffed, which impacts morale.

Being able to use it on phone not just on computer which makes it easily accessible any time I have a need for makeshift.

Nothing to mention for now, it's been interesting to use since I was introduced to  makeshift.

Keeping track of which staff is work , not having to use paper printed schedule also it saves the use of paper for my work.

**What do you like best about MakeShift?**

I like the ability to save rotations to be used as an employee's typical schedule, and the ability to save shifts to be easily added into the calendar as well. It's easy to use.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

I dislike that there's no way to print off an easily-read calendar for staff. I also don't have access to admin tools from the app. I would like to see a way to integrate the schedule with existing calendars, or to be able to print a nice version.

**What problems is MakeShift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It does create a central location for staff to view their schedules, and each others' schedules. I wouldn't say it's revolutionary, but it gets the job done more than other apps.

I wish I could deduct our unpaid 3o minute lunch breaks as it will be easier to calculate our hours

I cant ask for a day off if I am already scheduled for it, I feel like we should still have the option to request a day off even if we are scheduled.

Selecting to change an employees shift and having that new once reccur for future shifts ismt possible. That would be a nice feature

Easy to make the weekly schedule. Best part is you can copy and paste from previous week.

Too many steps to delete an accidental shift. If you could just press "delete" and confirm, that would be awesome.

DOn't have to think too hard about the schedule. Fast.

**What do you like best about MakeShift?**

I find I am able to easily check the schedule and I am able to make changes quickly and efficiently. It notifies the workers directly which takes a cumbersome step out of the process.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

There is no easy way to add in lieu time or other forms of time off. Also you cannot change shift times on a template easily. For example, if I alter a night shift for an hour it will not easily let me do so without removing the title of the role.

**What problems is MakeShift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clearly showing schedules to staff - previously we used an excel sheet and if changes were made, sometimes staff would not know. They would have to open their work computers to check their schedule each day. The app makes it easier for workers to view their schedule without having to open their work computer.

The upside to Makeshift is that it has been an Essential tool in the workplace because I am able to view updated schedules in real time.

I dislike that there is no way to merge all schedules and be unable to view one big master schedule.

How easy it is to drag and drop shifts when creating a schedule or making edits

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

That Bereavement is the immediate first option when booking time off, staff do not know what bereavement is. It should be automatically "Designated Day Off". I also dislike that it lists each employee that has viewable access to a specific department. would be nice to let people view it without making the list of people for that schedule exceedingly long. Would also like an option when trying to post a shift for drop or exchange to have an "either or" option so it's not just a definite drop or switch.

Helps my staff know their own schedule and the schedule of those they work with. Makes it easy to know who you are going to be working with .
