Mailtrap is straight forward, easy, everything you need form an email service. Their ruby libraries and easy integration with Rails are an extra plus. Leveraging their API rather than smtp for everything is great. As a consultant/agency I’ve set up and managed several client apps and services to do outbound emailing through Mailtrap, good seamless experience every time. Support is very responsive and personalized. Absolutely ZERO reliability issues or scaling issues so far, if you’re worried about that compared to the larger alternatives.
