## Mailjet Reviews
  ### 1. Support isn't great, record keeping is not robust

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kasio M. | Director of Email Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Mailjet?**

Mailjet was easy to set up and easy to implement. No one had a hard time understanding how it worked. We did use it for 2 years.

**What do you dislike about Mailjet?**

Mailjet would often "pre-block" emails without warning or explanation. They did not keep information for long enough to track why someone was removed from our databases. Their support often took a week to answer questions and most of the time the answer they gave was unhelpful.

**What problems is Mailjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When our last email marketing service came to an end, we were in a rush to move. During the sales process Mailjet was very attentive and helpful with onboarding. I did ask a question of the salesperson during the interview originally. She told me that the capability I asked for was possible. Once we were on the platform I was told that it was not possible. The salesperson and the people setting up the platform were completely different so there was no accountability for telling me that a feature existed when it did not.

  ### 2. Not recommended for serious business email operations

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Mailjet?**

I like that they charge based on the number of emails sent, rather than on the size of my subscriber list.

**What do you dislike about Mailjet?**

Extremely frustrating compliance process and sending limits for legitimate business use

**What problems is Mailjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We started using Mailjet for legitimate customer satisfaction surveys sent to active clients of our company. We are not using purchased lists, scraped contacts, or unsolicited third-party marketing campaigns.

Despite providing multiple explanations about our business model, customer relationship, data collection process, legal basis, and campaign metrics, Mailjet kept applying restrictive sending limits and repeatedly asked for increasingly specific documentation, including individual proof of consent for specific contacts.

Our campaigns had 0% spam complaints and a very low unsubscribe rate, which clearly shows that recipients were not treating our emails as abusive or unsolicited. The main issue was bounce rate, which can naturally happen when working with a large customer database where some customers manually provide emails, occasionally with typos or outdated addresses.

Instead of helping us solve the deliverability issue in a practical way, the process became exhausting and bureaucratic. Their support responses felt like a never-ending compliance loop, with repeated requests that are not always realistic for large companies with hundreds of thousands of active customers.

If you are a company planning to use Mailjet for high-volume customer communications, especially if your contacts come from an existing contractual customer relationship rather than a simple newsletter checkbox, be very careful. You may face account restrictions, sending limits, long review processes, and repeated requests for documentation before being able to use the platform normally.

In our experience, Mailjet was not a good fit for enterprise-level customer communication where contacts are collected through real business processes, contracts, customer service interactions, and onboarding workflows.

I would strongly recommend evaluating other providers before committing operationally to Mailjet.

  ### 3. 🚨 Bad experience – credits lost and no refund

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** alexis v. | Dirigeant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Mailjet?**

The sending of technical campaigns works well as long as everything stays "within their limits."

**What do you dislike about Mailjet?**

I bought a pack of 500,000 emails (over 500 €). After 320,000 sends, my account was blocked overnight, without prior warning, and I had about 180,000 unused credits left. Customer service keeps repeating that it is "non-compliant" and refuses any refund or commercial gesture. Even an official list (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with contacts who had requested to be on it) was not accepted.

**What problems is Mailjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Envoyer beaucoup de courriels

  ### 4. Not worth it

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nara B. | CEO and Co-founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Mailjet?**

I like it that is linked to Mailgun, another service that I use.

**What do you dislike about Mailjet?**

I find it challenging to use your mail services because it's complex, leading to multiple newsletters being sent to the same contacts. While I'm currently on a free plan to test their services, I'm hesitant to upgrade. Managing the contact list seems difficult, and there's a risk of annoying recipients by sending emails multiple times. It would be beneficial for their service to learn from platforms like Mailchimp in terms of contact management. So far, Mailjet has been the least effective in this regard.

**What problems is Mailjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm not happy with their services.

  ### 5. Extremly complex to revert to free plan

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Mailjet?**

Campaign statistics are fairly good as is delivery of marketing campaigns.

**What do you dislike about Mailjet?**

Reverting to a free plan is very complex. I am a regular user of Mailjet (taking a one-month subscription every three to four months) and each time I have to delve into their FAQ to remember how to do it. It is obvisouly purposefully designed by Mailjet.

Update September 2023: still a pain to switch to a free plan. Mailjet has not made in better these past few years.

**What problems is Mailjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sending marketing mail campaigns.

  ### 6. Slow tool and horrible UX

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raphael F. | Co-Founder & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Mailjet?**

We introduced it because it's GDPR conform

**What do you dislike about Mailjet?**

The UX is unintuitive and the tool is slow. The worst thing is you get logged out every couple of hours and to log in, you need to enter a Captcha.

**What problems is Mailjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sending emails to customers

  ### 7. Overpriced value deterioration

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** CM (Christian M. | Secretary General, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Mailjet?**

Mailjet was an amazing solution but ever since they have been bought their pricing has tripled and the service gone down

**What do you dislike about Mailjet?**

Pricing has gone through the roof - they are now the most expensive in the market with average service. this was fine with competitive prices

**What problems is Mailjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

currently, we are in the process of looking for alternatives - despite that we have been a client ever since they started

  ### 8. This is a dishonet business entity

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Mailjet?**

Used to be cheap. This business changed hands a few times and became worse and worse.

**What do you dislike about Mailjet?**

Crooks are working in the customer service department. They make unauthorized charges to your credit card. Won't respond to your ticket. or deceive you. Behave like an authoritarian entity, and you are their submissive subject and try to control you. Stay away.

**What problems is Mailjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Be cautious with their billing. Although they advertise as cheap, they will manipulate your invoices.

  ### 9. DISABLE sending limit on master account!!!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arsen I. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Mailjet?**

Price is low but customer service is low either. They don't even read your messages but answer with templates

**What do you dislike about Mailjet?**

Ticket #1456044 • Status: Opened • Creation date: 12/01/2020, 7:03 PM

Our master's account API key was issued by a third-party user for spam. We changed our passwords and updated our API keys. Now we need to disable the sending limit. And you know what? They ask us where did we get those emails? WE WERE HACKED! I DO NOT KNOW!!!

Do you read my messages? We were hacked! Someone used our API key to send spam emails. How come I know where did hackers get those emails?!

I will close my account as soon as possible!!!

**Recommendations to others considering Mailjet:**

DO NOT USE IT!!!!

**What problems is Mailjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was trying to send marketing campaign emails and transactional emails but mailjet just can't make it

  ### 10. Avoid at all costs

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Mailjet?**

When the service works and no human interaction is required, the service does work. Despite the dashboard being very slow.

**What do you dislike about Mailjet?**

The support is completely unacceptable. We have a plan with paid support and send over 200k emails per month. Tickets go unanswered for extended periods of time and responses are often canned and not relevant. Priority tickets are almost treated with disdain.

You do not have to look far online to find a wide selection of similar reviews. Do not make the same mistake as us, buyer beware.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailjet:**

We do not recommend Mailjet.

**What problems is Mailjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mailjet was supposed to be a convenient mail service for our notification emails. We cannot recommend any benefits.

  ### 11. Horrible Policies Regarding Content

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Mailjet?**

The WordPress plugin they created was really easy to set up, and getting it connected to all of our sites was a breeze. Pricing was competitive.

**What do you dislike about Mailjet?**

We used this tool to send contact form emails to us (no forms were ever sent to third parties). We had a landscaping company, so we'd process emails for customers interested in gettings things like their lawn cut. We were banned from the platform for sending "real estate related emails", with all our accounts disabled within 12 hours of being notified. We appealed to their compliance team and were denied.

**What problems is Mailjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Delivery of contact form emails and customer order emails

  ### 12. No customer support at all

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Franck p. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Mailjet?**

Price but end of the day your email will all go to spam because of their poor SPF

**What do you dislike about Mailjet?**

No customer support at all. Waited 4 days for an answer and they don't ever read my question properly, than since that 3 days goes and still no answers..
Meanwhile all mails went to spam-box and my domain name is dead...
Thanks to their SPF that isn't compatible with Google Domain.
Don't think of using them...
MAY 2020

**What problems is Mailjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No they didn't and i lost my domain name and 30000 mails... waste all my money!!!

  ### 13. Basically, stole my money

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailjet?**

Cheap, relatively easy to set up and use

**What do you dislike about Mailjet?**

Transactional only service (which is fine, but I was new to this and they could have been clearer), Horrible customer service

**Recommendations to others considering Mailjet:**

Don't use them. While the service is good, the customer service is not only abysmal, but I can only assume was intentionally incompetent. I have never had such a poor experience with a company.

**What problems is Mailjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Was trying to do some email marketing. I did not realize the difference between transactional emails and cold emails. They promptly shut down my use. Again, that is fine...learning curve for me. And they did not refund the payment to me. Again, fine, cost of knowledge. My real problem with them is that I sent them an additional $50 from Paypal, which they accept. It never appeared on my account and they say they never received despite my giving them all of the transaction details. They refuse to acknowledge the payment or give me a refund. Their customer service was slow, demeaning, and utterly useless. How does the "accounting team" not find a transaction after giving them every last detail of the transaction? I wonder if they are actually malicious.

  ### 14. BE CAREFUL! They charge credit card and don't offer the services

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fran B. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailjet?**

Nothing, not tested, they cancelled before use and charged me.

**What do you dislike about Mailjet?**

They blocked my account without any reason, and after that, they charged my credit card for first time. Incredible!
They're scammers, be careful and try to use another one email service.

Also I'm asking support and they never answer!

**Recommendations to others considering Mailjet:**

Don't use. Try another one first.

**What problems is Mailjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They charge credit card without activate the account.

  ### 15. Bad and poor , not recomendable

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Mailjet?**

nothing, i think nothing special, I think we were really wrong choosing this company

**What do you dislike about Mailjet?**

support is really inexistent with agents that just cut and paste answers with no soluions, and these cut and paste answer, you must wait for days to receive on

**Recommendations to others considering Mailjet:**

no, sorry, I cannot recomend at all, stay away

**What problems is Mailjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

no benefit, changing to mailjet have cost us money , we are migrating now

  ### 16. They treat their paying customers like crap

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claudio Miguel G. | Founder, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2017

**What do you like best about Mailjet?**

it actually works when they let you use it.

**What do you dislike about Mailjet?**

another nazi like email company that will block your account randomly for no reason specified even if you're just sending transactional emails to your own customers.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailjet:**

Do not use it if you care about your business.

**What problems is Mailjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were 200€ per month, sending stats were absolutely fine, except for the last email campaign to our own Customers that got blocked by Mailjet when it went through perfectly and with zero complaints with Getresponse.

They blocked our account instantly leaving all our internet businesses without transactional emails and after reviewing our account they now say our business is illegal. (business has been running since 2012 and is the #1 gaming product on Clickbank the biggest digital retailer in the World)

This is not how you treat a customer.

Avoid this company at all costs, they do not care about their customers.

  ### 17. Terrible Service Don't do it!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2016

**What do you like best about Mailjet?**

On the surface the service seems fine, but it's not.

**What do you dislike about Mailjet?**

Clearly they do not have the servers to deliver the service. Their system "pre-blocks" any email addresses that the flawed system flags as blocked. They then use this as an excuse to block many more emails. They then use that as an excuse to slow down their service. Once in that state, you have the task of "proving" that your client emails are appropriate and correct (ambiguous process at best, you are simply at the whim of some support person). Support is slow to say the least. My delivered stats were to say the least world class but they did not deliver many of the emails to my service. I asked for my money back and they refused to return my money and the requested that they could maybe try to send my emails again if I paid another month. Sleazy. French company with no ties to the US, obviously a back office play from some poorly run joker with an Smtp Service.

I wasted hours setting put the service based upon their crappy upload system.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailjet:**

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. THIS SERVICE WILL SUCK THE JOY FROM YOUR HEART AND COST YOU HOURS OF HEART ACKE.

**What problems is Mailjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Poor service COMPLETE WASTE OF YOUR TIME!!! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

  ### 18. complete waste of money, then they ripped me off for more.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2016

**What do you like best about Mailjet?**

nothing at all. none of the emails hit inbox. Then I requested a refund and cancelled, and they billed me the next month.... and refuse to refund that month! Unbelievable. French company that doesn't care about customer satisfaction.

**What do you dislike about Mailjet?**

Mailjet service does not work... no emails I sent were received. Then after I cancel and request a refund they continued billing me and ignored my ticket... Then agreed I was due a refund and 2 months later they wont send it or respond. SCAMMERS!

**What problems is Mailjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

no benefit. I was doing email marketing.

**What do you dislike about Mailjet?**

Process of activation is worst. . Customer support does not address why all emails weren't sent and why it is so slow

**What problems is Mailjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Very worst support team

  ### 20. Amauteur Worst Transactional E-mail Company Ever

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shirleyson K. | CEO, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2014

**What do you like best about Mailjet?**

In the beginning it was all good, Easy to setup, easy configuration, no human conversations untill i had the wors problem i could imagine, They simple blocked all my sending for no reason and after they reviewed it they reliezed it was their mistake they apoligized and sayd they would unlock my sending witch did not happen and i lost 5.000.00 USD in adspent without transactional e-mail for user account confirmation, password reset and others like it.

**What do you dislike about Mailjet?**

The Support Team is useless! They dont have a clue of what they are doing and takes more than 5 hours between each email reply, i wouldnt recomend it to no one.

dont use mailjet, they dont know what they are doing, they are not good at what they do, Simple amauteurs.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailjet:**

DONT EVER USE MAILJET, THEY HAVE THE WORST SUPPORT, WORST SERVICE EVER,

DONT HAVE A CLUE OF WHAT THEY ARE DOING,

I DONT RECOMEND MAILJET EVEN FOR MY WORST ENEMIES, IVE LOST 5K USD IN AD SPENT DUE TO THE IRRESPONSABILITY AND LACK OF PROFISIONALITY OF THIS COMPANY!

**What problems is Mailjet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was sending transactional e-mails for my ecommerce, and This company blocked the send on a thursday and said they would unblock it on friday after i proved that we where only sending transactional e-mails, And guess what...

They never did, So i come to office monday and find out ive lost 5k in AD spent due to the lack of profisionality from this amateurs.
