I think this is a simplistic way to do mass outreach in promotion of an event or an announcement. Its pretty easy to use and understand. It allows me to input different customizable fields as well which is quite helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Mail Merge for G Suite? I think that the interface is all manual rather than having drop down menus or some other type of UI. If you want to input custom fields you have to manually edit them and make sure to match the syntax with what is used in your email template. The permissions it asks for are somewhat intrusive and extensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Mail Merge for G Suite: Make the interface more intuitive and allow users to send multiple different email templates within one spreadsheet. Also the reporting on views and clicks is not very easy as it is purely just another excel tab without an easily identifiable list of those who view, clicked or responded to the email. Also sometimes when I set a scheduled time and date for a list of emails to send, they are not send at the right time but at a later date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Mail Merge for G Suite solving and how is that benefiting you? Massive, quick outreach based on a list of emails.
