The best thing about Mahout is it sits on top of Hadoop systems and we can easily use data from Hadoop file systems to do analysis using Mahout. I've basically used it for a comparison analysis between Sparks MLib and Mahout. Mahout is more for a statistician and depends on the use case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Mahout? The compute time is relatively slow when compared to other similar frameworks like Mlib and tenserflow. Mahout is a great tool because I can use this for my financial workflows and run not only summary statistics, but also more advanced statistics. What problems is Mahout solving and how is that benefiting you? The input data is generated when you run the Rational Team Concert work item export tool. This tool generates a .csv file that includes the work item ID, summary, description, and comments with double quotes for a set of 500 sample tasks and change requests. The next step in preparing the input data is to create a Hadoop sequence file with a set of key and value pairs, one pair for each change request.
