It is not easy to say this but it is one of those many apps we have to use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One small gripe: It doesn't always integrate neatly with Google Workspace, which can snag our file-sharing flow. It'd be awesome if tasked hours synced directly to Google Calendar for easier team scheduling. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use Magnetic at Banter Digital to manage job-bag creation, cost estimates, project tracking and invoicing, all in one unified system. What I love most: you don’t need 4 to 5 different tools to manage CRM, billing, project timelines, resource scheduling, finance and reporting. Magnetic simply brings everything under one roof, which keeps things clean, organised and visible across the entire team.

Since adopting it, our internal admin load has dropped significantly. Tasks and budgets flow through one central system, meaning fewer mix-ups, less time chasing updates, and greater clarity on profitability per project. It helps us stay efficient, client-ready and financially grounded.

The downside is that I can't run statements for clients; I have to export CSV files, import into other software to run statements.

While Magnetic provides strong invoicing, billing, expense tracking and profit reporting — it's not a full-blown full-accounting package (i.e. general ledger, tax filings, payroll, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, etc.). For those more advanced accounting needs, you’d want to use an external accounting tool (like Xero) integrated with Magnetic. The integration support strongly suggests this route. I like the fact that I can easily move my tasks around in Magnetic, as well as change dates and who can follow the task. It is full end-to-end.

Very little need for any additional software to be used to manage agency operations. That being said, integration with OneDrive would be hugely beneficial as then files could be uploaded via Magnetic but stored in relevant Project OneDrive location. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is potentially inherited functions/features which are no longer required that create bloat on the software. What is seen by a benefit to some is that there are many ways of doing something,. but at the same time, this could be a negative as well, unless there is a central person within the business that constantly drives a consistent way of using the platform. It gets out of the way. The project, time and finance tools actually talk to each other, so you’re not jumping between five systems to do one job. It cuts admin, not adds to it, which is a minor miracle in agency software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It can feel a bit rigid. Once your workflows get more complex, the system doesn’t always flex with you, and some tasks take more clicks than they should. It does the basics well, but you sometimes hit the ceiling faster than you’d like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It was great to transition from a resource tracking spreadsheet to a more robust solution, with allowed us to efficiently allocate resources as well as store all project briefs and comms in one place.

The system has good up time, is easy to use and the support staff are helpful and efficient.

We love the ability to work together on tasks as a team, as well as tracking resources in the team scheduler, and the HR functionalities for timesheets, leave tracking and so much more are super. Our sales team loves the capability of tracking their sales calls and meetings, and where in the sales process they are with prospects. Our project team uses Magnetic to track projects and assign tasks to various team members from graphic designers, to copywriters, SEO specialists and Advertising Managers. We all love the calendar integration as we use Google Workspace and it is handy to have our meetings pull across automatically into Magnetic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The interface can be a bit overwhelming to start with, as there are just so many things Magnetic can do. We still haven't harnessed its full power but every day we learn more about what it can do to help us streamline our day-to-day processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
