I primarily use Magnet Forensics for ICAC cases and it allows me to quickly identify relevant images as well as parse through non-relevant ones. Magnet stays up to date with current Android and iOS, which is extremely important and helpful. Most suspects keep their phones updated with automatic updates on, so when we have to work on a phone, it's helpful that we don't have to wait long for an update from Magnet. Using magnet Axiom has allowed us to more efficiently process our caseload. The way the artifacts are parsed and presented makes it much more intuitive to find exactly what we are looking for compared to some other tools that we had used before. One downside I have counted so far is that with Axiom Cyber the acquisition and processing happen in one step rather than allowing for the option to acquire and then process separately. I really find the integrations in Magnet Forensics, specifically Magnet Axiom, to be helpful when working on cases like CCM and child exploitation. These integrations make reviewing data easier and less strenuous on my mental health because I don't have to manually review images and media as thoroughly, thanks to features like the Thorne integration, which classifies material and matches known hash values. I also appreciate the ability to blur media, which allows me to minimize unnecessary exposure to sensitive content. Furthermore, the overall user-friendliness of Magnet Forensics stands out, making tasks more straightforward and setup extremely easy.
