Configurable products are products that have size and color variations. To add a configurable product to cart, customers must select their preferred size and color. This is not a very user friendly practice as customers might be in a hurry or confused about the perfect size and color combination. Why not improvise this practice? Instead of displaying unchecked size and color choices, we can pre select the most popular or appropriate combination. This way, customers can add a product with the preselect combination in a single click. They can change the combination if they want. You can do this in your Magento 2 store by using the Magento 2 preselect configurable product extension by FMEextensions. It allows you to preselect the first, the cheapest, the most expensive, or the default color and size combination. This feature not only improves customer's shopping experience but also increases sales of specific child products.
