Distance based shipping is a just shipping method that charges customers based on the distance from the store warehouse to their location. Greater the distance, higher the shipping cost. This shipping method is favorable to both customers and merchants as opposed to the fixed rate shipping where everyone is charged the same fee whether he is 10KM away or 100KM. The Magento 2 distance based shipping extension by FMEextensions allows you to add this shipping method to your store. You can add your warehouse location and add distance tiers with prices. When a customer enters his address while placing order, the distance is calculated from his location to the warehouse and the respective shipping fee is applied automatically.
