The ability to switch companies on the fly is nice. 2. Cloud hosting makes M2M easily accessible from anywhere. 3. The ability to have multiple instances of the same application (ex. Item Master) open at the same time helps when comparing similar components, jobs, etc. 4. The dashboard overview is a good addition. **What do you dislike about Aptean Discrete Manufacturing ERP?** 1. The browse or lookup screens always revert to default column width and order. For instance, the column width for part description needs to be must wider than part revision so it's difficult to display the most useful information on the screen. It would be huge if M2M could remember our preference selections. 2. It would be nice if we could add a color strip to the company header at the top of the window. The added visual helps prevent user mistakes. Ex. Company 01 is blue, Company 02 is green, etc. 3. Open screens don't update following activity in another window. Ex. If I'm in Job Orders in one window and creating jobs in the job queue in another window, if I click on the job order screen to advance to the next job, M2M informs me there are no further jobs. This isn't a deal breaker but wasn't an issue on our server based 7.51 edition. 4. Sometimes the response times are productivity killers. We're accustomed to pressing a key with immediate software response. 5. The navigation window on the left of the screen is a fixed width. This results in waiting for the description to appear with the mouse hover. 6. Too many screens. While I realize this may be so the software can operate on tablets or phones, we went from 3 or 4 screens in some instances to 6 or 7 plus a "more actions" tab. All the extra clicks slow productivity. 7. Functionality. Everything has to work as designed. It will say that the program is already displayed and will not update. It is difficult to save work when typing in any field that has a drop down because if it is not selected it will not save. It is also difficult to see all line items in a purchase order because you can not expand the screen and the scroll bar is very small. When selecting a new tab, you can no longer see your dashboard. It meets our needs as a small/med sized company. Customer service reps are kind. Our team needs it to input product data, accounting/bus. analyis, AP/AR, etc. **What do you dislike about Aptean Discrete Manufacturing ERP?** Non Cloud based (current) version: Training materials are not helpful and makes training our new team members very difficult. I would assume each company needs to create their own training materials, videos, and sidebyside learning. Its very hard to find what you're looking for. you need to go to the table to find a list of what reports/activity screens, etc. that you need. The descriptions are not helpful. (What is BASOAN?) its the sales orders, etc. Do we have to abbreviate and then cross reference with another document to understand what i'm looking for?! THEN, there are the column headings in each of the reports (i.e. basoan) what do those mean? Not helpful to understand what that column is or the data inside of it. Again, not user friendly. We are currently transitioning to the cloud version and it is not going well. The team has spent most of the time trying to get log in access, permissions, and devices set up when we should already be deep into the UAT. We barely are starting the UAT and are well behind schedule. Aptean should have set up our users, permissions, etc well before moving to UAT. This is beyond frustrating. I have helped implement large scale healthcare charting software twice in my career and this is by far, the most disorganized roll out I have had. 1. We had no idea that the new Aptean would be charged on a user basis rather than a device or seat basis. You can imagine our surprise when we needed to pay for additional users on top of the increased charge to move to the cloud. 2. Set up assist is nonexistent. 3. Log in/user access is taking much too long. 4. UAT is ambiguous even with the migration checklist. 5. Migration best practices are not offered/outlined by Aptean (despite customers being forced to migrate to the cloud.) This doesn't give me confidence that Aptean has thought through their migration program, or is putting customers first over profit/convenience for Aptean. This leaves me to believe that our company is held hostage, at least in the short run, to continue to use Aptean. We will need to weigh the benefits of the new M2M with the pain of a different software implementation. **What problems is Aptean Discrete Manufacturing ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is serving our needs for financials, product tracking, some analytics, (hopeful the insights in the new software version will be more helpful). At this time I don't have any other points of reference on how Aptean is better than other ERPs. I can't expand or minimize details or summary on purchasing queue. 2. We no longer have column chooser on queue or other pages to condense or hide information given if unnecessary. 3. Most every time I log into AppCentral, I get an Authentication Error. 4. When completing information in a field, if you type exactly what is correct but do not choose the drop down, the information shows as invalid. We also have a long pause for that dropdown to even pop up, which is frustrating when we can just type in the correct option without even using the dropdown. 5.Lack of background color styles to choose from. Because M2M requires list selections in various windows, M2M 8.0 data entry takes extra steps. For instance, in the item master when searching for a part number an automated list is generated and if the item is selected from the list incorrect information populates the field. ARW doesn’t remember what you’ve been working on When we switched over from M2M 8.0 to AppCentral, the latest versions of my Advanced Reporting reports were not showing. I had made a lot of changes on my June financial statements, and did not want to have to redo all that work. The reports were corrected, but I lost all of my print formatting, such as centered headers, page breaks, and fonts. They look right on screen, but not in pdf. ARW has changed, so I don’t know how to correct the print formatting. This still has not been resolved (I have at least 26 emails regarding this situation alone). I had requested training on AP invoice automation; I asked how to get started. We were given training on how to use it, but not on how to set it up. This still has not been resolved. When our test company was set up, all users were granted all permissions - the default should be no permissions and allow the permissions to be copied from the other company. I think this is slated to be corrected in the next update. I've had trouble with copying permissions. I also like that you can lookup an entry and make a copy of that entry instead of creating from scratch. **What do you dislike about Aptean Discrete Manufacturing ERP?** Reports are very limited and the ability to modify them is complex. The subledgers don't link so when a transaction moves from AP it is shown in the GL as an AP transfer without details so digging into transactions is time consuming. I'm a new user and found it difficult to locate specific types of transactions within the training modules. The audit tracing of transactions isn't easy to find so tracking down who created the transaction can be a problem. **What problems is Aptean Discrete Manufacturing ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?** It provides basic transaction flow for manufacturing and accounting.
