Recommendations to others considering Macrium Backup & Restore: Please consider Macrium Reflect if you need a cloning and backupping software that will solve your problem while trying to clone an HDD or to restore an HDD or SSD data. It is really easy to use and you will also find a lot of help on their site. Other than that you can consider Macrium Reflect also from its free edition, that let you try its features, leaving the decision to pay for the service after you try it. What I like most about this tool is being able to make an image of a disk and restore it to a smaller one. For example an image of a 750 GB disk that only had an operating system, lets you load the partitions into a 250 GB SSD.
