The software is very quick when compared to other server based or cloud based EDRs. All forms can be custom designed or integrated. There is a window with tabs that allows quick access to forms. Wired Ethernet works better than wireless. It is Planmeca 2D and 3D friendly. It is a very easy software to train staff or temp hygienist on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about MacPractice MD? The concerns that Valsoft will be sold or purchased by another larger software vendor (ex. Henry Schein) and they will force us to change to a new EDR. Secondly, since their merger with Valsoft, the customer service reps are not as knowledgeable and need to have call backs from their techs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. I wouldn't say I like their bulk insurance upload. Other systems have this action better. They have system issues with Change Healthcare clearinghouse more frequently than other systems. The user interface is not very intuitive. It requires trainning to administer and get real benifit. Also, you can edit anything in this system. By edit I mean, you can delete charges and payments. This is a huge issue. There is no auditing tool for charges. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. The software can be customized to fit our client's very specific needs for scalability.
