Clean, Distraction-Free IDE Great for Beginners, But Lacks Advanced Features **Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Abhik S. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025 **What do you like best about LyciaStudio IDE?** First thing that comes to my mind thinking of LyciaStudio is neat clean environment, makes you really feel good while coding, I personally had very less distractions and felt to code more when I was using LyciaStudio compared to all other IDEs, It is very beginner friendly in my opinion, And perfect for medium sized project. Also best thing about Lycia Studio is it not heavy on my processor which makes it to crash less. **What do you dislike about LyciaStudio IDE?** Well, being honest LyciaStudio lacks a lot on the features and libraries that other IDEs like Visual Studio or IntelliJ provide, And hence I mentioned it is good for small to medium sized projects, And also the customization options are limited, even though I personally liked the IDE but I feel others might like some more customization features. **What problems is LyciaStudio IDE solving and how is that benefiting you?** The first problem it solved for me was feeling less distracted while coding, and the simple and clean environment helped me a lot, I personally used it for simple Java and C projects, which actually helped me build my foundations. ### 2. It is great and easy to use. Documentation is easy . Thus supports the coding language like Java, Net etc. **What do you dislike about LyciaStudio IDE?** Many IDE's like their competitors have better interface rather than their. So i think they should start working on them otherwise the users will start moving to other IDEs. **Recommendations to others considering LyciaStudio IDE:** Improve their interface and add more plugins. **What problems is LyciaStudio IDE solving and how is that benefiting you?** Using it for college purposes for coding in java. And web development. It is helpful. Benfits as far is not that much other iDes are still better than their ones. ### 3.
