I tested Luna to replace the sheets and docs we use to report on project progress with tech leads and cross functional stakeholders - and it saved me hours of manual work every week! Here’s what I love most:

I can create and share 'external' links. Sales can bookmark their own personalized view and access the info they need without having to log into Luna.

Luna consolidates qualitative information related to our projects, like decision logs and key risks

We can access any Luna data (progress information. blockers ..) directly from Slack and email

We are heavy users of Jira, as a ticket management system. As such, we have been looking for a tool that allows us to communicate engineering work and progress to multiple audiences in different types of reports.

Luna’s Jira integration is very extensive and flexible:

- It gives us full control over what’s syncing and where.

- Jira’s configs mapping are available in Luna’s templates too, reducing the need for further setup.

- At the launch level, Luna gives us the control to further customize all the Jira configs and workflows.

Lastly, there is no burden at all on engineers, who neither have to change their way of working in Jira nor have to update Luna.

In terms of grouping and visualization, we really liked the Gantt charts provided by Luna:

- We create views that are dynamically updated and shared with the right audience.

- The Gantt charts were easily customizable, can be easily copied to a slide, and highlighted changes in key data.

- The whole data flows well from Jira to the charts in Luna.

Luna solves the cross-functional communication and alignment pain points faced by managing portfolios of large projects. The teams particularly like:

_ The milestone centric structure: Luna connects the dots between departments and promotes a unified collaboration between Project, Finance, and Procurement teams (while most other tools we assessed often focused only on one aspect of the project).

_ Projects monitoring at different levels of details: as a Senior Director I have a high level view focused on whether projects are on track, the blockers, the key decisions taken / that need my review.

_ Change management and risk monitoring features.

_ Approval flows: decision makers get all the necessary data in one hub to proceed with approvals and validations.

- Luna enables me to effectively monitor and oversee multiple projects at the same time. I have different custom views (such as top projects, projects at risk, ongoing tenders ..) that I review every day to stay informed about key updates or changes in timelines and scopes. I also really like the email I receive every monday on the status of my company's projects, the open risks and the key decisions taken.

- The risk management features are very powerful as they enable my teams to proactively identify risks, escalate them to their managers or to me, and work on a mitigation plan - all within Luna.

- Luna's UI is very user friendly. It look us only few hours to set it up, plug our tools and onboard all users.

Luna has advanced templates, which allows us to pre-define end-to-end project level processes for different types. My team spends much less time putting together the project structure, notifying the right stakeholders throughout the project, etc. At the same time, having the base structure guarantees we don’t miss any key step.

- As CEO, I can build the roadmap view I need and have constant visibility into our projects. The UI is clean and uncluttered, which makes it easy to spot the right data.

- Their Jira and Slack integrations are one of the most flexible and advanced I have encountered.

- Implementing Luna and getting started was straightforward. We did not have to wait weeks to feel the benefits.

As CEO, I care about visibility into my teams’ work and the ability to course correct early enough if anything goes wrong. Luna was very helpful in providing this visibility, in different easily customizable dashboards. My team was also able to manage their milestones, across projects, on specific boards.

When key data changes, Luna makes it easy to spot that change in the UI (on timelines and kanban boards) and to understand why it happened. Not having to constantly ping my team helped a lot.

The All launches table and its customized views are great to stay informed and aligned with my teams’ projects. For the customized views:

- As a Director, I spend much less time now requesting project information from my teams. Luna is great at highlighting changes in important project data and the reasons behind them.

- I created a dedicated view for board members so that they can keep track of the most important projects. This has drastically reduced the time I spend preparing updates for board members, as they have direct access to the information they need in Luna.

I also like the Milestone Center, as it gives me a centralized place for all the reviews I need to check across my portfolio of projects. I can proceed with approvals directly from this hub.

Lastly, I feel that Luna helps me engage with projects at the right time and right level of details, without having to stay preoccupied. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a Sales rep, having visibility into the product roadmap is crucial for managing client expectations. Before using Luna, I often had to wait for the monthly Product review meeting or struggle to find the right person to ask for updates. This lack of real-time information made it challenging to maintain trust with my clients and prepare adequately for client conversations. With Luna, I now have real-time access to the roadmap timelines and progress. I can quickly see where things stand, which allows me to plan my communication and materials more effectively. I have my personalized dashboard which I've bookmarked and can access without having to log into Luna. Most importantly when a shift happens in the timeline, I get an automated notification with the rationale from the PMs enabling me to communicate the change effectively to clients.
