Recommendations to others considering Lumion Pro:
It is a great alternative to the typical Revit or 3DS Max/Vray rendering techniques that gives you quick results that look great too! They can't get the same "true realism" that the others can do, but with the speed of the renders, you can find other ways to layer images together and create great looking renders. The speed of the renders is due to the processing happening on the graphics card (GPU) rather than the CPU, so having a good graphics card is the one hardware requirement I would recommend looking into before buying. What problems is Lumion Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting high-quality renders used to involve a large amount of time and resources, and now we can produce very close to that quality in a fraction of the amount of time. We have also started doing walkthroughs and flyovers, which we didn't have the ability to do before. We have been able to show clients' projects using Virtual Reality headsets with Google Cardboard, and have used Lumion to more clearly explain the design choices to clients.
