Computer game-y visuals and lack of VR integration. It would be awesome to have a quick output/linked interface with VR Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very easy to import a Revit or Sketchup model and almost instantly have a better looking rendered image. Many times we will throw a model into Lumion just to get a better look in true perspective and play with sun patterns, it's so quick to do that! The filters on the "camera" panel are also a great asset. We have set up a procedure to export those to Photoshop and quickly layer them to create renderings that are realistic, but still have softer edges, which are perfect for clients. Recent major releases have not been quite and "feature-packed" as earlier ones have been, making it harder to justify the jump from "6.0-7.0", for example. Also, the user interface is still quite confusing and has a lot of hidden keyboard shortcuts or on-screen prompts that would be very hard to figure out without someone pointing it out. On that subject, good tutorials are very hard to come by, the official ones from Lumion are limited and many times have no narration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the filters!! I have been using it for a couple months and i love how easy it has been to use it so far. It has a lot of fun filters that can make any simple 3d model better and ready for client presentations. There are many filters that make renderings sort of dream like which is extremely useful for schematic design. However there is also a lot of detailed objects and landscape capabilities that help you create realistic renderings in no time. It is very quick to use and very straightforward. There is not much that I do not like so far...

One item that bugs me is the delete objects usage. I have to select an object and then press the trash button, it makes it a bit complicated when trying to move quickly through commands. Also there are not a lot on "undo". Once you keep moving through your model, so far i have been only able to undo 1 command.

I have used it with Revit and Sketchup models and so far i do not like how Lumion reads ketchup surfaces. Sometimes it reads the interior or "back" material of a surface in sketch and it makes your model have transparent objects that need to be fixed in sketchup.
