"Fast, intelligent photo editor with advanced AI logic and refined workflow"
What do you like best about Luminar Neo?

Luminar Neo impressed me with how intelligently it processes images under the hood. The AI engine analyzes depth, texture, and light direction before applying corrections — this makes tools like Relight AI, Structure AI, and Enhance AI behave contextually rather than just applying global changes. The Geometry AI tool automatically fixes lens distortion and perspective, which is especially useful for architecture shots from ultra-wide lenses. Performance-wise, the software uses GPU acceleration effectively — exporting 42MP RAW files takes only a few seconds on my RTX 4070 system. The new cache cleanup and multithreaded preview rendering noticeably reduce lag during bulk editing. I also like that you can stack adjustments non-destructively, combine them with layers and blend modes, and export to multiple formats (TIFF, PSD, DNG) without losing metadata. What do you dislike about Luminar Neo?

Layer blending options are still limited compared to Photoshop, and the histogram panel could be more informative — for example, showing color clipping zones. Batch renaming and folder synchronization also need fine-tuning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Editing, But Demanding on Resources"
What do you like best about Luminar Neo?

I like the simplicity and the step-by-step and tabbed layout of Luminar Neo. I start with developing, move on to color, then to creative effects, and the same interface guides me through a very comfortable step-by-step process. I also find it very useful as an alternative option to Photoshop, and I can use it as a plugin or as a standalone application, helping me achieve quick results using AI tools and some quite useful presets. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Luminar Neo?

The weight, I think the application itself feels heavy, in terms of batch processes I feel it consumes too many resources from the computer, sometimes it gets slow when dealing with heavy workflows. I feel it consumes a lot of RAM, processor, and a lot of virtual memory for temporary processes. Despite having good hardware, in general, I feel that with Luminar Neo, in quite heavy edits, it becomes slow and starts to gradually hang when the work sessions are long. "User-Friendly with Background Change Capabilities"
What do you like best about Luminar Neo?

I mainly use Luminar Neo for photo editing, and I find it incredibly useful, especially when changing backgrounds. The interface is more relatable and useful compared to other software. One of its key attributes for me is its accessibility. Setting it up was pretty easy once I had an idea of how these things work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Luminar Neo?

I think if the payment plan can be looked into, it's going to be a nice idea. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great functionality and easy to use!"
What do you like best about Luminar Neo?

I really like the number of tools in Luminar Neo and their constant development. Existing tools are being improved, and new ones are being added regularly.

I also note the ease of use, you don't have to search for a long time or learn some secret combinations, everything is set up with sliders and is intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Luminar Neo?

Despite the large selection of tools, I'm a little lacking in such basic things as adding text and drawing. Also, object selection in mask mode still doesn't work well, it selects too roughly, and you still have to edit a lot with the brush. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple, smart, and saves me time"
What do you like best about Luminar Neo?

I like how fast I can get stuff done. The AI tools (like Sky Replacement and Relight) are pretty smart. Most edits take just a few clicks and look good right away. The layout’s simple and not overloaded with buttons, which makes it easy to use even if you’re not a pro. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Luminar Neo?

Sometimes it gets a bit slow with bigger RAW files, and not every AI mask is perfect, especially when there’s tricky lighting or fine details like hair or trees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"This app is a complete refresh of what other popular photo editing software should be"
What do you like best about Luminar Neo?

Easy of use, the fact that is standalone but also a plugin for Lightroom. And the pricing is amazing.

It works very nice, the AI and generative tools are great, I love every second spent in this app.

i've used it lately almost daily and I'll stick with it for a long time. Installation is easy, almost seamless on Macs but for Windows as well. Integrates nicely with Lr. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Luminar Neo?

Sometimes tends to be bit slow, even on M4 Macs. Also masking and layer tools are not super intuitive, you can easily mess something if you don't pay enough attention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great image editor for beginners"
What do you like best about Luminar Neo?

I am beginner in photography and in photo editing too. It was important for me to start editing quickly without extra education ( I mean Adobe products). Luminar Neo has intuitive design, it is easy to start working with it. It covers all my needs and even more - I've already created my own presets that I always use.

If I have some questions, support team always help me so fast and useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Luminar Neo?

I've only started to explore this tool. So, no dislikes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Luminar Neo?

I really like their AI tools, for example, AI background removal tool that did awesome with my photos even though I had some fails while taking photos :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Luminar Neo?

For now I haven’t experienced a lot of downsides, but once when I was uploading a bunch of photos, it stuck for a while. But I still don't know if it's problem with my laptop or with soft x Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the variety of tools in Luminar Neo and that they are constantly updating the functionality and adding relevant AI tools, such as Genexpand, which helps to complement a photo, or tools for removing elements from the background. Everything is intuitive and covers all photo editing needs, from adjusting lighting to removing unnecessary elements in a photo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Luminar Neo?

Some operations can be slow, but in rare cases, when I use large files Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
