Luminar Neo impressed me with how intelligently it processes images under the hood. The AI engine analyzes depth, texture, and light direction before applying corrections — this makes tools like Relight AI, Structure AI, and Enhance AI behave contextually rather than just applying global changes. The Geometry AI tool automatically fixes lens distortion and perspective, which is especially useful for architecture shots from ultra-wide lenses. Performance-wise, the software uses GPU acceleration effectively — exporting 42MP RAW files takes only a few seconds on my RTX 4070 system. The new cache cleanup and multithreaded preview rendering noticeably reduce lag during bulk editing. I also like that you can stack adjustments non-destructively, combine them with layers and blend modes, and export to multiple formats (TIFF, PSD, DNG) without losing metadata. Layer blending options are still limited compared to Photoshop, and the histogram panel could be more informative — for example, showing color clipping zones. Batch renaming and folder synchronization also need fine-tuning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
