Luma has the best customer support. They listen to what their client's needs are and will work to find a solution that meets that need. I also love how intiutive the software is. Most end users can navigate the site with little training.

**What do you dislike about Luma Health?**

I wished the information in the insight center (reports) was a bit more clear on where data is being pulled. But this is a newer feature so it can only improve over time.

**What problems is Luma Health solving and how is that benefiting you?**

High incoming call volumes, by using online scheduling with Luma we are able to reduce incoming calls.
No show rates, by using Luma reminders we were able to reduce the number of no shows and improve appointment conformation rates.
High out going call volumes, by using Luma Broadcasts we are now able to text large numbers of patients when a provider is out sick.

Constantly have to refresh to view new messages, receiver does not receive any links that are sent ever, when using multiple systems, you do not get any alert to notify you there is a new message so you hve to constantly check and refresh

**What do you like best about Luma Health?**

The Luma Health product offers automated functions that enable streamlined and improved patient engagement with limited human involvement. The core functionality is practical and operates seamlessly within the healthcare ecosystem, facilitating increased system performance and reduced FTE workload, enabling the workforce to focus on higher-level functions. Furthermore, Luma has ample room for flexibility and adaptation to specific system use cases, furthering performance and reducing workforce redundancy. My favorite part about Luma is working with their team, who are brilliant, compassionate and innovative. Luma has helped our system quickly solve many complex problems, and I look forward to our future together.

**What do you dislike about Luma Health?**

There is little to not like about Luma. Luma is a complex IT solution that requires familiarity with products and Epic to operate successfully. Luma works 99% of the time, with most issues (9/10 times) often occurring due to inaccurate or incomplete data at the system level, not the product level. Yes, Luma will encounter issues. However, their support team is world-class and a pleasure to work with. They will stop at nothing to serve their customers.

**What problems is Luma Health solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Luma automates much of our patient engagement tasks, enabling us to communicate, schedule and help our patients remain connected to their care. Luma has unlocked untold potential across our system and continues expanding our system's connection ability. With Luma, we've implemented automated solutions to: 
- Schedule covid-19 first-dose vaccines resulting in ~13% of the total scheduled vaccine volume in 2021 
- Created open-source self-scheduling tools for assocaite PCR tests during the 2022 Omicron surge, which strained traditional scheduling pathways 
- Created product enhancements such as an Epic-embedded patient communication sidebar which allow Epic users to view communications
- Created patient demographic flags which prompt Epic users to update incorrect contact information
- Upgrade the automated referral process to include self-scheduling tools to enable new patient scheduling from SMS
- Much more

**What do you like best about Luma Health?**

I absolutely love the ease and quickness of sending secure messages to our patients with referral/appointment information. You can include every detail for them without having to play phone tag. and I can move onto the next task but still have a conversation with the patient if necessary.

**What do you dislike about Luma Health?**

The only downside I have found with Luma Health isnt' at all the program itself. Its only the patients who do not know how to use it. This usually is our older generation. But for the most part I've found it to be very helpful despite those few. Also, I do wish the secure messages stayed active a little longer than seven days.

**What problems is Luma Health solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem that LH is helping me with is the ease of reaching the patient. Sending all the pertinent information to the patient without having to make 2-3 phone calls or leave voicemail messages with word limits.

**What do you like best about Luma Health?**

After over a year of discovery and vetting multiple vendors, Luma was an immediate stand out as being the most comprehensive solution for our needs. We knew the initial push had to be engaging patients through a seamless communication tool to introduce web and mobile experiences that would build the foundation for future digital endeavors. We were looking for a platform that eliminated the need for disparate processes and technology that would help minimize maintenance and financial commitments, and Luma has delivered that. The customization options allow for quick and seamless updates that we have control over, and when we've needed support from Luma, their team has always been very timely with their responses. Luma is the best well-rounded solution out there, that provides results both for the patient and for the organization.

**What do you dislike about Luma Health?**

We have struggled with the forms build and discrete field mapping into our EMR, Cerner. Understanding we would battle with Cerner accepting the push of data, it has been unfortunate to continue to see delays in such a powerful tool that would bring our teams so much efficiency. The output of the forms is also something we have been focusing on to hopefully get to a position where we can print them if needed for our providers and it wouldn't be 28 pages. Excited to hear their new partnership with DocuSign, though, which should help!

**What problems is Luma Health solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest improvement we have seen has been the success and adoption of online scheduling. Self-scheduling for specialty care like Orthopedics has always seemed like a daunting and impossible task, especially with the minimal utilization by patients for acute care through patient portals. Fluidity and ownership of the build allowed us to create a seamless experience for patients while also incorporating the logic needed to drive patients to the right provider team based on the needs of their care. We have enhanced our availability through team scheduling workflows to leverage our APP models and get patients in faster. Allowing our patients to be able to view provider schedules after hours, 24/7 has given us the edge we were looking to accomplish in order to maximize our NP acquisition for patients seeking digital options for care.  It’s no longer a mad dash for patients first thing Monday morning to try and get through high-traffic call days when they can now send a quick text or flow through our scheduling forms to get the appointments they need. We went live at the beginning of April and just surpassed 2,500 appointments successfully scheduled online. Also, one of the things we were struggling with was high no-show rates. We were faced with limited flexibility through our appointment reminder system forced an undesired loss of revenue that was easily improved by the functionality through Luma. We have seen almost a 40% decrease in no-show rates month over month, which has stabilized provider productivity and continuity of care.

I have nothing that I dislike about the program this far. I have no complaints at the time, but I am sure if I did, I could reach out, and they take advice well.

They are solving making it complicated for pt. and providers to communicate and for those unable to use vocal resources, and it has also helped our community. It is great !

We love being able to use Luma Health as our reminder system for our 300+ appointments on a daily basis.  This frees up our staff immensely to focus on our patient's care.  We also appreciate with Luma Health we could use waitlist features, rescheduling, send individual or mass messages to patients as well as the review system.

**What do you dislike about Luma Health?**

Luma Health is a system that doesn't make mistakes.  When humans do make mistakes, Luma follows the standards set in place. This can cause some confusion sometimes when a patient may not get a reminder because they were scheduled too soon.

**What problems is Luma Health solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Luma Health helped us solve the problem  of reaching out to over 300 patients on a daily basis to remind them of their appointments.  We also are able to send individual messages to patients that needed them or mass messages to patients when their provider was out for a day, inclement weather or especially this past year with Covid-19 related issues.

I like how easy and straight-forward the platform is. This has made staff training incredibly easy, even for those late adopters. The secure texting feature has improved patient communication and increased patient satisfaction.

There is no easy way to send patients multiple forms in one link, they are all separate. This proves to be challenging when sending forms to new patients as they have so many 'links' to complete.

Luma is helping fill our schedules and increase volumes via the waitlist feature. It is helping our medical secretaries and other admin support staff be more productive and efficient with patient communication as well.

Able to chat we our patients and share documents back and forth on a Hippa compliant platform. Able to perform telemedicine on the same platform we use to communicate with the patients and include multiple staff members in the conversation without assigning it to them. Beyond excited for the contactless check-in feature as this is the route we have been discussing.

**What do you dislike about Luma Health?**

Unable to use our main phone number as the outgoing number when we text our patients. With so many spam and scam calls and texts, it would be nice that every time we contact patients, our main phone number would be the one that shows up on the receiving end.

We've had some hiccups through our Luma journey, but all is solved and worked on as we go. We are currently looking into the auto replys. Seeing if removing them or changing the verbiage would help with patient confusion. If a patient responds incorrectly, they receive different responses like Sorry, you cannot reply to this message. It's super easy to use and customizable for your practice. I like the texting correspondence feature for our patients. I like the broadcasting feature as well to send a mass message.

I don't like that if a patient replies stop to a reminder text it opts them out of all communication. I think that it should just opt them out of reminder texts only.

It is helping us to solve a long-standing communication issue we have had with our patients. We can now send multiple reminders and our no-show rate has dropped significantly.

Ease of texting patients and clients to gather necessary information prior to appointments.  (Especially insurance cards, medical history, demographics etc) I can also notify them of other insurance issues to help resolve them faster.  (Coordination of benefits, prior authorization or other denials)

At times be glitchy without information updating in real-time.  Sometimes patients or clients struggle with the technology and how to upload requested information, or the platform they are trying to use isn't formatted for luma messaging.

It helps with insurance, denials, contacting the patients with payment reminders and using their preferred language is a great added feature.  Many patients prefer text messaging over the traditional methods.

Navigation is easy. Organized and having access to everything that is needed, information-wise, it is at the end of your fingertips.

I dislike how the program is down from time to time. Sometimes it takes a bit for everything to load/reload. I can submit something that is complete and will have to redo it since it did not save.

I never had a problem logging in.  The quality of video and sound make it easy to interview a patient.  Overall, Luma Health istress relief compared with other droducts I have used.

I can't think of anything I dislike about this product, nor have I encountered anything working improperly.  I can't think of any improvements I need, although I'm sure the company experts will find a way to make it better.

I like how it's user friendly for both parties recieving and sending. Also how easy we're able to add templates along with links to our patients to fill out forms.

I send out a lot of messages and in order for me to back track who replied I usually have to go down an entire list to see who is bolded in text for a reply.

We're solving problems such as patient outreach and quick and easy access to forms for our new patients. We're pre planning and having records ahead of time before the patients are being seen.

**What do you like best about Luma Health?**

Luma Health's appointment reminder and broadcast messaging features are a cut above the rest. Allowing customers to tailor their message content, timing, and management makes it an ideal platform for organizations who really want to fine-tune their patient communication. Luma's patient engagement communications can be as complex or as simple as you wish, but the ease of use and their customer support is top notch regardless of how deep you dive.

**What do you dislike about Luma Health?**

A more in-depth workflow analysis during implementation would have been helpful, but the small hiccup we ran into was easily resolved. As of March 6, 2021, the filters applied and locked in the Reporting section do not "stick", so that is a bit annoying.

**What problems is Luma Health solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Luma Health presents our organization as a technologically-advanced healthcare provider. Luma also significantly improves our patient engagement posture. The ability to send texts, emails, or make phone calls to targeted lists of patients helps us with outreach to patients who fall into our quality measures. Broadcast messaging also allows us to send on-demand messages that applies in a variety of scenarios (e.g., office closures and potential in-office COVID exposure).

What I like best about Luma Health: It is an easy way of communicating with patients. I also love the multiple ways of searching the patients whether it's by date of birth, name (First or last), or phone number. I like that it also has mini reports at the end of the page. The alerts are also very helpful for when I need to remind myself to follow up with a patient.

Because we had locations in multiple states we at first needed multiple logins instead of using one login for all.

My recommendation to others considering Luma Health would be to use it to all of its capabilities. It is very user friendly and not hard to figure out so it should be used to it's full capacity. Due your due diligence and be sure that this is what you are looking for although the benefits from Luma are really great.

The main problem we are solving is effective and HIPAA compliant communication via text. The benefits of texting is that it is less time consuming than calling by phone and much more effective because people are mainly texting nowadays.

I like that LUMA makes it easy for me to keep our cancellation list and let patients know when spots open up that they might need.  Also it's a great way to get in touch with patients quickly and effectively now that many people prefer texts over phone calls. I am able to add about 20 patients to the schedule every month because of LUMA.  That far outweighs the cost of LUMA.

I wish they had a customer service call center.

Make sure that it will integrate with your EMR if you are using it for healthcare.

I fill more appointments because of their cancellation list feature. I have a confirmation that patients received and responded to reminder texts.  I have also used LUMA to send out group texts or let patients know when we need to close the clinic or cancel their appointment.

**What do you like best about Luma Health?**

Luma is easy to use.  We have a great implementation team and this software easily interfaces with our electronic health record, Nextgen.  Luma has helped to reduce our overall patient no show rate from 22% to 17% in 3 months.  Our previous reminder service did not have user friendly reports, but with Luma Health, we are able to see reminder history and receive engaged patient responses to messages that flow right into our EHR.  We can also send broadcast messages to target groups of patient who may need to schedule or who may need important health information.  Our staff love how easy it is to communicate securely with patients.  We are soon implementing contactless check-in to assist with keeping patients and staff safe in the wake of the pandemic.  We are also on track to implement patient forms to assist with gathering important information electronically from patients prior to their visit or while they are waiting to be seen.

**What do you dislike about Luma Health?**

We have not encountered any negatives since implementing.  If I was forced to say something, I wish that the modules that we are not using (waitlist and referrals) could be hidden as not to confuse staff.

Sometimes Luma is not reliable. I have sent texts that say they go through, but the patient says they did not receive the message.

Issue of patients not recognizing our 800# and screening our calls which prevents them from receiving necessary information for their appointments. 
Patients call us back and receive valuable information such as meds they need to stop, out of pocket costs or other important information prior to their appointment.

if you are a medical practice, you will not regret getting LUMA! I wish I had came across it sooner. it has definitely made my life and the office employees life easier by taking up a lot of the day to day tasks that are so time consuming as well as I love that it has the option of sending out the appointment reminders or forms in other languages , besides English. we have a lot of spanish speaking patients and the fact that they get the text messages, procedure instructions and appointment reminders  in spanish is so helpful !

As long as patient follows the instuctions , it doesn't take even a minute to get connected to the patient. I have not encountered any major issues so far. Decreased patient no show rate. Extremely user friendly.

If , for any reason, we don't get connected, the JOIN SESSION  button gets deactivated and I have to send new link to the patient.

Very helpful during covid pandemic when it is not advisable to see sick patients in the clinic. Also, it is convenient for the parents  with more than one child who have no baby sitter for the other kids, as we moslty advise to bring in only one child to the clinic due to covid restrictions. Televisit also solves this problem. Gives an easy access to patients to their healthcare.

I love that I can already see how LumaHealth is paying off for our business and brand. We've selected Luma Health as they directly partner with our technology and fully understand what running a medical practice needs. Luma Health also has created a great sense of customer service and values input from their customers or potential customers. Luma Health has helped us in managing our reviews which previously was more difficult to manage. Luma Health helped us address our opportunities mentioned from our patients without it being blasted on all external channels.

**What do you dislike about Luma Health?**

While we are only in Phase 1 of rolling out the software for our practice, so far there isn't too much that I don't like. I would love if Luma Health could one day create technology where if a patient fills out a google review it could also post on other review platforms like Healthgrades, RateMD or WebMD. However the product that I was sold on works flawlessly with minimal effort from the staff and there's no complaints there.

Just make the plunge. It's worth the money for your business. They understand the struggles you're going through as a practice. When you need help you can always get assistance unlike so many other companies out there. Trust me. Get Luma's help.

We are solving a solution of publicizing our positive reviews while keeping our negative reviews internal. Luma Health has already started to pay off. We've seen such an increase in positive reviews posted to our Google My Business account. We also are filling our cancelled appointments without ever having to call the patients. However we obtained a waitlist by purchasing the Luma Health software which is brand new to our practice. It's been nice to offer something new to our patients without having to add more staff to the team.

Our medical practice was having difficulties contacting our patients and getting back responses of confirmed patient appointments.    I reached out to Luma as I have heard great things about their capabilities from other practices who use the texting service for appointment reminders.   We strive to have excellent patient care and communication so once I connected with  Luma representative, they really took the time to fully understand how our scheduling system works and what needs we have that may differ from others.     I was very impressed with their responsiveness to any minor issues or concerns that arose and the ability to track everything and receive back patient reviews was just what our company was looking for.

Luma's texting option was excellent and our utilization of the service provided increased patient satisfaction, and helped keep our schedules full.    No negative comments about the Luma product
