## LucidLink Reviews
  ### 1. Promising Start with LucidLink, But Needs Updates

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaret M.

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I think LucidLink seemed pretty great, and the usability seemed like it was easy. The initial setup was pretty easy, even though it ultimately didn't work out for my computer. I also believe it has a lot of potential, especially if it gets some updates.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

I couldn't get it to share my files, or it took a long time. It just wasn't working for my computer, even though I'm using modern gear like an M3 Pro Mac. Something within the software just needs updating. I wasn't able to get much use out of it and wasn't able to use it to get the job done.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was trying to solve file sharing issues but couldn't get LucidLink to work with my setup, though it seems promising and easy to use.

**Official Response from Teodora Baldzhieva:**

> We're glad to hear that you found LucidLink easy to use and see its potential. We apologize for the issues you experienced with file sharing and the compatibility with your computer. We are constantly working on updates to improve the user experience, and we appreciate your feedback.

  ### 2. Difficult first, but good ones it’s going

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Curtis M. | Head of talent management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

It just never really worked the way I wanted it to.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

So many issues at the setup stage and quite clunky and not the cheapest.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My G's a reason I've got anything to say. He's got me through here. He's got me through there.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> We apologize for the difficulties you experienced with the setup and functionality of LucidLink. We are constantly working to improve our service and appreciate your feedback.

  ### 3. Worst service of its type ever experienced. I'll go out of my way to tell people to not use it.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2025

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I hated every second of using it. Botched installers, unclear background processes, poor indication of file online/offline status, slow.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

This service seems to be made for an editor or maybe two editors working remotely. My tiny team (3 people) doing VFX on a couple hundred shots were ground to an absolute standstill by how horribly this tool is designed. I cannot spend enough time ranting about how insanely poorly every single part of Lucid Link is designed and implemented and cannot WAIT to never have to use it ever again.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It literally created problems. We could have used Dropbox or Drive and spent far less time re-installing it after botched installers, pinning to download files that we had just created, waiting for entire directories to come back online after they went offline, managing stupid pathing issues between Windows and Mac OS (which are solved on every other similar service, btw).

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience. We regret that LucidLink did not meet your expectations. We will take your feedback into consideration to make necessary improvements. Don't hesitate to reach out to our support. They will gladly help with any challenges you have and provide solutions.

  ### 4. Started out great, but degraded quickly

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jan K. | Post Production Facility Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2025

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

The original premise of LucidLink was very promising. A CloudNAS that was easy to use and reasonably affordable with powerful features. There wasn't anything like it in the market.

A good sign of a good product idea, is that it didn't take long for copy cats to emerge.

It was a great solution for easily sharing working files between remote team members, usable enough for non-IT specialists both in setup and everyday use. No storage limits, good speeds, pricing reasonable for cloud infrastructure.

Also built a great community and engaged considerably, you felt like a valued customer.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

Unfortunately it didn't last long. This is an infrastructure product, and it needs to be stable and reliable. When you build post production workflows around it, you want it to just work for quite some time.

Before too long there were impactful pricing changes and constant software upgrades. Then there was a massive unprecdented 3 day outage that had global impact on the whole industry. While they worked fast on rebuilding their infrastructure, questions remain on what went wrong.

And recently yet antoher massive software upgrade, this one even more disruptive. New version doesn't have feature parity and pricing became unfavorable. The legacy version was hard to find and felt abandoned, some part of it was disabled under questionable circumstances. Communication was hap-hazard and left the sense of lacking true transparency.

As a longer term customer, it became obvious I was no longer in the market segment they were focusing on, and moved on.

Not an infrastructure provider I would trust. Which is unfortuante. Itstarted well, but went downhill most of the time I used it.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy and fast sharing of files between remote uses at the file granularity level, at high performance, secure, and multi-user change consistency.

**Official Response from LucidLink Marketing:**

> Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback on your experience with LucidLink. We appreciate your initial positive impressions and are sorry to hear that your satisfaction declined over time. We understand the importance of stability and reliability in an infrastructure product, and we apologize for any disruptions you encountered.

We take your concerns seriously and would like to investigate further to address any outstanding issues. Please reach out to our support team so we can assist you with any unresolved issues and gather more insights to improve our services moving forward. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we aim to regain your trust as a customer. Thank you for your understanding.
