"Lucid Simplifies Technical Design and Team Collaboration"
4/5
What do you like best about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

I mainly use Lucid to document ride request processing and driver matching workflows before development starts. During design reviews, I update architecture diagrams based on team feedback so everyone works from the same design. AI-assisted diagram generation gives us a solid starting point, while comments and real-time collaboration make reviews much faster and reduce back-and-forth discussions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

As our architecture diagrams become larger, navigating different sections can take a little extra time. When several teammates review and update the same document, keeping every component organised sometimes requires manual adjustments. More intelligent auto-layout options and stronger filtering for large diagrams would make technical design reviews even smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Five years in and still my go-to for diagrams"
5/5
What do you like best about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

After more than five years using it weekly, what still stands out is how fast it is to go from a blank canvas to something useful. The drag-and-drop editor is genuinely intuitive, so building a diagram or spinning up a whiteboard takes minutes.

Real-time collaboration is the biggest win for my team — several of us can edit and comment on the same board live, which has cut down on a lot of meetings. The template and shape libraries save me from starting from scratch, and the integrations mean I can drop diagrams straight into the other tools we already work in. Onboarding new teammates has been painless too; the interface is easy enough that they're productive almost right away.

The AI features are a nice bonus — I've used them to turn rough notes into a starter diagram and skip the tedious first pass. For what we pay, the time it saves in meetings and rework makes the ROI easy to justify. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

My main gripe is performance on large, complex files. Once a board or diagram gets really big, it can start to lag and feel sluggish, which slows me down mid-project.

The other thing is that while the basics are easy to pick up, some of the more advanced features have a learning curve, so it took me a while to discover and get comfortable with everything the suite can do. Pricing on the higher tiers can also add up as you scale seats across a team.

None of these are dealbreakers, but they're the areas I'd most like to see improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Drag-and-Drop Diagrams with Excellent Real-Time Collaboration"
5/5
What do you like best about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

What I like best is how easy it is to get started - the drag-and-drop canvas is intuitive, so I can go from a blank page to a clear diagram or whiteboard in minutes. The real-time collaboration is the biggest win for my team; multiple people can edit and comment on the same board live, which has replaced a lot of back-and-forth meetings. The template and shape libraries save me a ton of time since I rarely have to build things from scratch, and the integrations with the other tools we already use make it easy to drop diagrams where the rest of the team works. What do you dislike about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

My main gripe is performance on large, complex files - once a diagram or board gets really big, it can start to lag and feel sluggish, which slows me down when I'm deep in a project. The other thing is that while the basics are easy, some of the more advanced features have a bit of a learning curve, so it took me a while to discover and get comfortable with everything the suite can do. Neither is a dealbreaker, but they're the areas I'd most like to see improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Desktop-Like in the Browser: Fast, Template-Rich, and Easy to Use"
5/5
What do you like best about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

Extremely easy to use. It feels like a desktop application running in the browser. There are tons of templates and keyboard shortcuts, which makes it very practical and efficient to work with. I’ve never had any performance issues, and all drawings and updates happen in real time. The on-screen shortcut hints are also genuinely helpful.

I like the data import features for visualization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

I haven’t found any downsides yet. I’m able to print, share, and publish without issues. I’m not involved with pricing, so I can’t really speak to that part. Aside from that, it’s been great so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Real Time Collaboration That Keeps IT Infrastructure Diagrams Up to Date"
4/5
What do you like best about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

I use Lucid mainly for IT infrastructure documentation mapping out network topology, Active Directory structure, and site-to-site VPN connections across our locations. What stands out most is the real-time collaboration: when I'm updating a network diagram, other team members can view or edit it simultaneously, so documentation stays current instead of living in someone's local file that goes stale.

For a team managing infrastructure across multiple sites, this cuts out the back-and-forth of emailing diagrams for review or waiting on one person to finish edits before anyone else can see the latest version.

From a support/onboarding standpoint, the biggest benefit has been ramping up newer IT support staff instead of a verbal walkthrough of our environment, they can visually explore an up-to-date shared diagram, which cuts down onboarding time significantly. On integrations, having it accessible alongside the rest of our workflow tools (we run primarily on Microsoft 365) means diagrams aren't siloed away from where the team already works day to day.

The AI feature also gives you a quick start ease by helping you design template with just prompts.

Performance has been solid even with fairly detailed, multi-page network diagrams no noticeable lag when multiple people are editing at once, which matters given we're collaborating across sites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

The main drawback has been the learning curve on the UI. With so many shape libraries, formatting options, and layout tools packed into the interface, it took me a while to figure out the most efficient way to build network and infrastructure diagrams early on I spent more time hunting for the right shape or tool than actually diagramming. Once I got past the initial adjustment period it became much faster, but for someone jumping in expecting something as simple as a basic drawing tool, the depth of features can feel overwhelming at first rather than immediately intuitive.

It would help if there were more guided, role-specific onboarding (e.g., a quickstart path specifically for IT/network diagramming) rather than a general one-size-fits-all intro, since the platform serves very different use cases that probably need different starting points. "Lucid: Excellent Design, Strong Security, and Outstanding Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

Besides the friendly user experience and excellent design of Lucidchart and Lucidspark, which I actively use, Lucid provides outstanding customer support and demonstrates a strong commitment to security.

I am satisfied with the platform's performance, flexibility, and wide variety of tools. Lucid also offers all the integrations I need, including Microsoft and Atlassian integrations, which are particularly valuable for my work.

The AI-powered visualization feature has not worked very well for me so far. However, this may be due in part to my prompts and expectations not being fully aligned. I believe I may need to provide more detailed instructions to achieve better results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

Nothing much to add—Lucid app works great and it’s been satisfying my needs so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Lucidspark–Lucidchart Integration Makes Collaboration Fast and Engaging"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

What I like best is the seamless integration between Lucidspark and Lucidchart. It allows our team to transition instantly from messy, creative brainstorming sessions to highly structured, professional flowcharts. The real-time collaboration features, voting tools, and extensive template library make team alignment faster and much more engaging Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

The pricing structure and licensing model can be quite rigid and expensive for smaller teams or growing businesses. It sometimes feels like you are forced into higher tiers just to get access to a few specific advanced features. Additionally, managing licenses for 'view-only' users versus active editors can occasionally become confusing for administrators Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"As a Business Analyst, I believe that Lucidcharts is a game changer."
4/5
What do you like best about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

I like that Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is very easy to use and allows you to create or leverage templates to build flows faster. This is especially noticeable compared to other tools like Microsoft Visio and Diagrams, which can sometimes be a bit more complex when it comes to connecting shapes, finding forms, managing lines, etc. In Lucid, on the other hand, everything feels more integrated.

I also like the drag-and-drop option and the ability to group elements using commands. The "magic" function of copying formats and applying them to other figures was a success.

Additionally, the integrations with Claude and GPT give it an extra edge. The performance on the web is good because it doesn't consume many resources; however, I would like it to have a desktop version, as I would feel more comfortable working there than in the browser.

Finally, the AI assistant also does a good job of recommending certain flows or figures during the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

It's a bit annoying sometimes. For example, I would like to be able to change the default color of certain lines: I'm making the flow a specific color for a team, and I have to do it manually every time I create a line. I would also like to be able to set lines without angles as default, but at least so far I haven't figured out how to configure it.

Again, I would like them to have a desktop version.

As for the pricing, I don't find it abusive; in fact, it wasn't difficult to get the client's approval to finance it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Lucid Makes Complex Customer Service Workflows Easy to Document and Standardize"
5/5
What do you like best about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

Based on how I am using Lucid, it has become a valuable tool for documenting and standardizing our customer service processes. I use Lucid to build detailed conversation and workflow diagrams for our customer service team, including customer intake procedures, project qualification steps, call scripts, decision trees, escalation paths, and lead handoff processes. For example, I created a comprehensive landscaping and hardscape project intake flow that guides representatives through customer identification, project qualification, discovery questions, lead creation, scheduling expectations, and cross-selling opportunities. Having these workflows visualized in a single diagram helps ensure consistency across the team, improves training for new employees, and makes it easier to identify opportunities for process improvement.

One of the things I appreciate most about Lucid is how easy it is to use, even for complex workflows. The drag-and-drop interface made it simple to build decision trees, connect process steps, color-code sections, and organize large amounts of information into a clear visual format. I was able to quickly create professional-looking flowcharts without needing any specialized design experience. As workflows evolved, updating the diagrams was straightforward, allowing me to continuously refine our customer service procedures while keeping documentation organized and accessible for the entire team.

I also appreciate that Lucid is affordable. I do not have a large budget at work, and Lucid works perfectly for what I need at a reasonable monthly cost. I also find Lucid’s informational emails helpful because they highlight platform features and tools I may not have known were available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

One area where I think Lucid could be improved is navigation within larger workflows. Currently, using the mouse scroll wheel primarily zooms in and out, which can make it cumbersome to move through large diagrams from top to bottom or side to side. It would be helpful to have an easier way to scroll around the canvas without relying on the scroll bars, especially when working with lengthy process flows. A more intuitive navigation option would make reviewing and editing large diagrams faster and more efficient. Maybe that feature is there and I just have not found it yet. "Strong Workflow Value, but Costs and Large-Board Lag Can Be Challenges"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

The software enables complex problem-solving that supports our KPIs and helps streamline our team’s workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite?

Honestly, I like Lucid overall, but if I had to point to a drawback, it’s that it can get a bit expensive as teams grow. I’ve also found that some of the more advanced features aren’t always as intuitive as I’d like, and larger boards can occasionally lag. At times, the line between Lucidchart and Lucidspark also feels a little blurred. That said, these are relatively minor issues compared to the value the platform provides.
