We were struggling with the quality of the voices recorded internally in 4 languages by their people, who are not professional actors. I made a benchmark of several solutions. With Lovo, we found a solution which is easy to use, sounds good in French, German, Spanish and... Estonian. Best value on the market so far, given the languages we were looking for. The number of features can be a little confusing, given that I subscribed to Lovo in order to use... Genny. I have not tried to toggle with other applications of the buddle (or is it a suite?) for the moment. With a market evolving at a rapid pace, I still struggle to remind what is what and I have to save links and bookmarks to ensure a fluid working process when I create e-learning projects. Before, to create training videos, we used to ask native speakers internally to record video scripts in German, Spanish and Estonian. New product Genny advertises free trial but it's a false advertising and a waste of customers' time: you spend time creating the content and then they don't allow to download it until you pay. Not only does it allow you to choose from a library of different voices to suit your need, with just a few clicks, you can also add emphasis and pronunciation details to fine tune the performance. and - BEST OF ALL - it even allows you to adjust the speed of delivery very easily to ensure the performance can fit within your time restraints. The voice-cloning feature, while still best-in-class currently, still sounds a touch too robotic for anything beyond the occasional phrase replacement; a full sentence sounds like AI and put learners on notice that a human is not delivering their training video. And I've used it for training video updates to replace the voice of a team member who passed away.
