What do you like best about Loomly?
For social media management software, Loomly is far more affordable than its competitors based on the number of social accounts you can connect to.
They provide a calendar that lists a bunch of special events/holidays for every day (even things as obscure as National Cheese Pizza Day). This is great for being able to schedule posts that can tie into events that may trend for the day.
Supports the basic functionality of social media software - create (and schedule) posts, view posts on a calendar (and the ability to edit any that haven't published yet), the ability to require approval (and routing the approval request) before post publication, the ability to monitor and reply to messages/comments, and some analytics.

What do you dislike about Loomly?
I was surprised at how barebones the basic analytics are. Essentially, it shows the traffic and likes per post, and for the account it shows how many people follow you. However, it doesn't show any charts to see trends over a time period or aggregated traffic/activity (e.g., you can see the traffic for a post, but you can't see how much you got on a given day - so if you got traffic from different posts in a day you wouldn't know).
You can create timeslots to pick from when scheduling posts, but the scheduled times are the same regardless of the social channel. Ideally, it would help you determine the best times to post. Also, ideally it would let you select different scheduled slots per channel since activity times are different per social network.
On the calendar of posts, you need to hover over the social icon to see any of the content of the post (copy, image/video, etc.). When I've realized that I needed to make a change for a scheduled post, that's been super time consuming because I schedule things months out and only remember that I made a post, not which day (or even month), that particular post is scheduled for.
I was expecting a little more from its post ideas. There's the calendar of daily events/holidays, which I love and is unique compared to other software, and other than that, it has generic topic suggestions (e.g., Tip of the day/week related to your niche). Ideally, it would be smarter than that and find a way to create a draft post (even if you have to give it a keyword for a subject) with the rise of genAI.
While this doesn't effect what Loomly can do, I was a little surprised that the UI looks so outdated. The fonts and content is small and it uses boxes and cards that have right angles instead of a rounded look. This is nitpicky, but it was surprising compared to what I see from competitors.
