**What do you like best about Looker?**

Looker is an excellent tool for transforming raw data into actionable insights. I like how it seamlessly integrates with various sources. I love how it uses LookML for defining data models which ensures consistency across reports, which is a huge plus when working with large teams. I also like its customer support, you can just raise a ticket and get the resolution quickly.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

There is a bit of a learning curve, especially for new users who are unfamiliar with LookML. Another issue is that, it is sometimes slow when handling complex queries or large datasets.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use looker heavily for generating all of our dashboards which are used by various teams to get business insights.

  ### 7. It is one of the best or rather is best Power BI Tool I have come across

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anand K. | Associate Data Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Looker?**

It is a I would say very powerfull Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Analytics platform that I have come across and I have used it in my previous projects, to do various tasks Like analyzing and visualyzing our data sets. Also I have a Google Cloud ecosystem which help me to easily collaborate and Integrate across various data Sources and delivering a better and faster dashboards and reports. One feature I would like to mention is that LookML language, It helped me to create a centralized model that made consistency across my whole team. also the various visualization options, including the bar charts or the heatmaps , or the geospatial charts are very helpfull to me. For a beginner like me the simplicity of the tool was very helpfull, but the complex tool like LookML or the SQL needed my tecnical attention.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

When I talk about the cons I would say that as we are having the powerfull data exploration and reporting tools, but the interface and underlying concepts of data modelling like (LookML) were a little complex for me. Since our project demanded the custom data Modelling and we were short of expert data engineers or analysts we found it tough as I had to learn and understand LookML (Looker’s own data modeling language) and also SQL.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Now there was a problem with my project where in the data was stored across multiple systems, databases and platforms (for my case in Silos). This problem caused a great difficulty for my team to get verified view of the data which made the reports generated outdated and inconsistent. Now Looker comes to the picture and it helped us centralize data from various sources like Google BigQuery or the SQL Databases into there single platform, This helped us ensuring the consistent reporting and gave the team a real time data, by eliminating the discrepancies between the cross functional teams thereby giving the decision makers reilable insights.

  ### 8. Looker : extremely integrated and easy to use.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tapish R. | Data Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Looker?**

The most helpful features of looker was
1st, The way its integrated with the google cloud system, you don't have to do any anything, just write your query on bigquery and from there you can directly visualize it on looker, create a report or dashboard and you can distribute it to all the associated google cloud accounts and more, there js aunlimited number if external connectors so you can use any data source, you can use custom query to write any other query you require, you can create custom datatypes and so more.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

I think the number of themes and visualization options are a bit less when compared to other visualization tool lik powerbi and tableau, also an option to open the source data by clicking on visualization will be very helpful.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The integration with bigquery helps me in visualization without having to download the results and then use that file as source for visualization

  ### 9. Looker end user

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

Ability to setup very quickly to the need

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

Costing is one key pain point and also ability to share with other users

Easy to read data from excel and salesforce dumps.

**What do you like best about Looker?**

Looker provides powerful Data Modeling, self-service analytics, Integrated workflows, Real-Time data, customizable Dashboards.
These integrated features makes it best tool for me.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

It is difficult to use, pricing is quite high.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps businesses by making data more accessible, consistent, and actionable. It provides a centralised data model, ensuring everyone works with the same accurate information.
Since Looker queries directly from databases, the data is always up to date, leading to better real-time decision-making.
Also improves collaboration by allowing users to share reports, set alerts and integrate with tools like slack and Google sheets.

  ### 11. A great tool for tracking productivity and Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sunny R. | Placement Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Looker?**

I had the opportunity to work with Lokker while working at WNS, and the help I got from looker in tracking and managing my subordinates' performance really did wonders for me. Its data visualisation of performance, advanced use of analytics is truly great but when it comes to customisation with several available filters and other options really made my data collection and sorting task quite easy.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

While it's great but during the initial times I felt that making use of such customisation and advanced visualisations could be challenging for a person who is new to such things.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping me to track and analyse my subordinates performance and how I can use those for data visualisation purpose in order to communicate the same to upper management.

Looker Studio's ability to integrate with diverse data sources and connectors makes it a great tool for creating detailed and dynamic reports, catering to various data visualization needs.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

I will be honest, I was struggling with Looker Studio. I thought it would be the solution to my data visualization needs, but it was slow, clunky, and limited. I had to use third-party connectors just to get my data in, and even then, it was a hassle

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 33. Looker - The quintessential BI tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ananth J. | Data Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Looker?**

I like the integrations with g suite the most, love how I can build out quick visualisations that sync up with live data on my google sheets.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

I am not a big fan of the lack of other integrations for data sources other than g suite. I like looker and looker studio separately as products but if the integrations of looker studio could be combined with the SQL intensive Looker it would really be a game changer.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're really able to leverage the data that we have and use that to make decisions

  ### 34. One of the best products for data visualization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Looker?**

I recently started using Looker for my data analytics needs, and it has been a game-changer. Its ability to transform complex data into insights is remarkable. The intuitive interface makes it incredibly easy to build and customize reports, while the robust data modeling capabilities ensure that we have a single source of truth.

It is very flexible. Whether you're a data scientist or a business user, Looker's user friendly design helps all skill levels. The integration with various data sources is seamless, and the real-time data exploration feature has significantly improved our decision-making process.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

While Looker's interface is designed to be intuitive, some users find it complex, especially when dealing with advanced features. Simplifying navigation or providing more guided tutorials could help new users get up to speed faster. So the UX could be improved a little

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Looker helps me create highly customizable dashboards that can display a variety of visualizations including bar charts, line charts, scatter plots, pie charts, and more. Users can tailor these dashboards to meet specific needs and preferences for their data visualization needs. The reports can be interactive as well.

It uses LookML, its modeling language, to create a centralized data model. This model ensures consistency in data definitions and calculations across the org. LookML allows users to define metrics, dimensions, and relationships in a way that makes data exploration and analysis more intuitive.

  ### 35. Robust, powerful and scalable solution to data modelling

Looker is very good at unifying all the databases and eliminating data silos. It helps create strong and complex data models which can be customised and scaled according to usecase.

  ### 36. Effortless, User friendly and Customizable Data Visualization tool

Large datasets and queries take a very long time in processing. Lack of collaborative features within looker

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Looker helps in visualizing data and performing analysis on top of them for our internal teams and also for our customers.

  ### 37. Over All Good but Little bit complicated for Beginners

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Majid S. | Google ads manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Looker?**

Best thing is it's interface. It is Great and easy to navigate. Also you can customise almost anything with formatting. Integrates Perfectly with Google ads and other google services but third part integration is not Good.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

It is not available offline. This is biggest draw back. Like google ads Editor It should also be available offline. Also As I mentioned Third party integration like facebook ads needs improvements

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it is a Free tool Comapred to it's Competitors Who are charging A heavy price. Also 90% of time I use it for creating Google Ads Reports for my clients and it works Great

  ### 39. Intelligent Business Intelligence Tool!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saman S. | Data Engineer (BI Developer), Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Looker?**

Compatibility with variant data warehouses and integrations with third-party applications are the most exciting features of Looker in my opinion. The support team is responsive although the implementation is easy. The tools make sense for both technical and non-technical users in their daily usage. I've worked with it for a year with Looker and it was useful.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

It's not what I dislike about it, but it would be even better if we had an open-source area in Looker to make further customizations based on this well-tuned platform and infrastructure.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Have a platfrom for data visualization to get insights from variant sources of data and at the same time providing reporting tools for non-techniqal users to make their dashboards by themselves made the team data driven with less time consuming and have efficient monitoring on changes on the project.

My company has data in GBQ but Initially for data viz they used to use Mode and it was very costly. Later on my company decided to use Looker as data is already in GBQ so that seems cost effective and we got almost all features of Mode.

Looker will the best if you using with BigQuery. It can easy config realtime data from BigQuery to Looker. Looker can using with larger data.

With Looker, you can using "Looker Functions" or "LookML" (based on SQL code) or both for multiple case. You also query using "SQL Runner" write code SQL, and it help you easy check data with "History" of query. Looker always generate to SQL code.

    - In models, you can define "explore", it can join (combine) multiple tables.
    - In views, you can specific table on BigQuery, and write "dimension" and "measure".

After that, you can build dashboards based on models and views was defined.

Thank you for your listening! I hope my reviews can help you.

Everything is the free and most user-friendly interface in the Google Data Studio which allows users to use built-in dashboards to create customized dashboards. and also Available 3rd party connectors. such as Facebook Ads. Looker Studio offers work on both real-time and dummy data. Looker Studio collaborates with many data sources to connect our data and create fantastic reports. we attach our data from multiple data sources and visualize your data. One of my best things i apply filters and filter our data within one second.

Dear Looker Studio Team,
All things are free, But I want to be free when we blend the data. only one option is available left data blend and others are not free (right data blend, cross data blend).

Looke Studio depends on internet connectivity. add features to run without internet when we refresh then we need internet otherwise not.

Limitation of connecters which platform are not the product of google

  ### 50. Looker powers our BI insights across the company

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucien H. | VP of GTM, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Looker?**

Looker is a very powerful BI tool with a vast array of visualisations that are used to power decision making at the company. Geospatial analytics is particularly useful to a business like ours and Looker is one of the best in the game at that. In addition, Looker has a really strong collaboration capability and triggers. Triggers are set up to alert us with suspicious activity on the network enabling proative, as opposed to reactive initiatives.

**What do you dislike about Looker?**

It is not the most useable BI tool and often requires significant engineering to get it where you need it to be to drive insights across a business. It isn't the most flexible intuitive tool when it comes to creating visualisations quickly.

**What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We want to empower the entire organisation to use data intelligently to ensure we are data driven across the business. Looker powers our entire BI suite
