Looker serves both technical and non-technical user needs nicely. For technical users, being able to run queries, having tonnes of options with LookML to get creative and have controls on the data is very valuable. For non-technical users, being able to schedule reports, alerts and dashboards are very handy.
We are using Looker to both gain insights and react to certain signals very quickly.
The migration from our old reporting system to Looker was also very painless. The initial setup to connect to your reporting database takes less than a minute.
The onboarding process that we have received from Looker has really helped us to shape how we wanted to build model structures, set up permission levels and use LookML to transform the raw data tables into more useful and user-friendly format.
I also need to mention Looker's amazing customer support team. Those guys are really great. In the initial few weeks, I had questions with various nature (i.e. LookML, report, dashboard, admin, etc. related). Customer support team members are extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
