## About LOKI
Automate and secure your network in a so simple way that anyone can do it

## LOKI Reviews
  ### 1. This is the de-facto stack for many applications especially telcos

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Asad K. | Technical CARE Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2022

**What do you like best about LOKI?**

What I like the best is the availability of open-source free software components bundled with the openness of Linux at the bottom of it.
Openstack gives you the power to customize the underlying infrastructure as per your needs. From SRIOV to DPDK, from vHOST to NUMA awareness & hugepages, it supports everything & gives you the flexibility to develop an infrastructure that is ready for network-intensive & resource-intensive (CPU & RAM) applications.

In addition to that, you can leverage Kubernetes as a manager for all your containerized workloads either on Baremetal or on top of Openstack

**What do you dislike about LOKI?**

Setting up the whole infrastructure for the first time is not an easy task. It may take days to setup the infrastructure & the base software image for OpenStack is also very heavy.
On top of that if you setup Kubernetes with same requirement then it is again an overhead

**What problems is LOKI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You create your own bungalow by setting up LOKI in your data center instead of hiring a fully furnished flat i.e. paying for the public clouds. It is definitely minimizing the budget of your data center because you just need to invest in the server hardware & nothing on the software side. With an increasing support community, it is getting easy to get support professionals available for maintenance of the whole stack

  ### 2. LOKI - security monitoring tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ajay K. | Lead it engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2022

**What do you like best about LOKI?**

It is good tool for malware detection and digital forensics, it is simple and easy to use, and anybody can use it; this tool is suitable for small environments.

**What do you dislike about LOKI?**

This is not suitable for large companies and could have been great otherwise because, of its simplicity , companies could save a lot of cost and effort implementing complex security solutions

**What problems is LOKI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring network and securing the env
less expertise requires to automate security features
save cost in implementing and managing this tool
save efforts and time
scan files

  ### 3. Loki is amazing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roderick E. | IT Security Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2022

**What do you like best about LOKI?**

The ELK/EFK stack and the Loki project are comparable, but Loki is easier to set up, operate, and has more features.

**What do you dislike about LOKI?**

Takes a good about of time to setup but the documentation is very through and helps you along the way.

**What problems is LOKI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Loki is especially inexpensive because it only indexes metadata. Running indices for full-text processing necessitates the use of more expensive RAM instances. It's also less expensive to keep logs on an object store like S3.

  ### 4. A cloud based platform to protect your network from threats

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2022

**What do you like best about LOKI?**

The ability to define a Wide Area Network(WAN) using the platform (SDN) to map with the physical network that manages security incidents and traffic is a really good feature even for a non-tech person.

**What do you dislike about LOKI?**

The User Interface is not so user-friendly as it is filled with network jargon and makes it hard to navigate for a lay person. It needs a technically sound admin to operate.

**What problems is LOKI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LOKI is trying to simplify managing network traffic incidents for small organizations by automating it through SDNs and a SaaS-based portal.

  ### 5. A customer friendly network access management tool for small organisations

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2022

**What do you like best about LOKI?**

The automated network access control and security incident management in a single dashboard is a really good feature

**What do you dislike about LOKI?**

There are a lot of false positives in the incident reporting which may be hard to navigate form the real incidents

**What problems is LOKI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LOKI is trying to solve the problem of Network Access Control and Cybersecurity incident management by automating it and removing the need of human expert for small organisations

  ### 6. Loki is a good program - with a few hiccups.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2022

**What do you like best about LOKI?**

I like how it makes my life a bit easier, it helps me stay organized throughout the day.

**What do you dislike about LOKI?**

There are times when it freezes up, sometimes crashes. Does not often happen, though.

**What problems is LOKI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes my day run smoother, helps me stay organized and on top of every thing.
