What do you like best about Logz.io?

The easy process of integration to other applications, it was a very quick process and very clear.

Creating reports are also very convenient for understanding problems and improve the software constantly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The complication in creating dashboards, I think it could be more intuitive and easy to use.

Even finding the menu for the dashboard is not very intuitive. I believe it can be improved Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Logz.io?

What do you dislike about Logz.io?

Since it's a growing platform, some features that we had hoped for are not yet available, but they are constantly growing the platform and working on feature requests my team and I have requested. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Logz.io:

Look at all of the features it has to offer and compare them to Logz.io. Since we were leveraging SolarWinds for other purposes, we were initially going to consider using SolarWinds Loggly, but I'm glad we found Logz.io and decided on that platform. It's a standard ELK-based platform without all of the overhead and costs associated with a large ELK platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are leveraging Logz.io as a central log aggregation platform. This has allowed us to view all of our logs in one central location, create alerts, dashboards, visualizations, etc. It has been very useful for us in many ways.

I also like that it has the option to store logs in AWS S3 which allows us to re-ingest or restore logs if needed - or simply review them from the S3 bucket directly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Review of Logz.io"

What do you like best about Logz.io?

Most helpful is the filtering and time based searches available on Logz.io.

Because we have such an extensive system and all units are logging, it takes a while to fine tune the searches. But once in, those searches are saved and can be rerun with their own fine tuning. This saves an enormous amount of time. Everyone on the team from DevOps to developers to QA to management see the benefit of saved Open searches. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Logz.io?

The learning curve was a little bit slow, but once we had the teams coordinate with DevOps who are introducing the tools, we made a big jump in our capabilities and the usage of the tool is both appreciated and contributing to our outcomes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Logz.io?

UI is easy to use, especially creating filters from fields and viewing fields and their values. Patterns are useful. We also use alerts to alerts us for issues in our production environment.

I even extract data from the logs using API access for full processing in batch.

The Logz team is responsive, and when we have any questions (how to do something, when will some feature be implemented, etc.) they happily answer us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Logz.io?

Switching between views is a bit slow. I would like a view that fits a mobile phone - so I can have a quick look while not near my laptop.

I would also like a way to extract data from messages using regex or something like it.

The UI icons take some getting used to (a bit confusing), and it takes some time to learn to use it in an efficient manner.

Not much to dislike, I generally love using Logz Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Logz.io solving and how is that benefiting you?

I gain visibility into my logs from a distributed system. I have a way to monitor in real-time production in a remote location. I have an easy way for auditing (for internal purposes at least).

I have a centralized log repository, easily split into sub-accounts per each environment we have, where everything is visible. Before logz, we had to log into remote systems to view their logs, and we had no real solution for lambda resources (except cloudwatch logs that are very limited).
