**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2021

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

It's clear, user-friendly and has so many features, both official and supported by the LogicMonitor community. It's the best one I've used so far and I'm still finding new ways to use it.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

There are moments when information surrounding future updates is left lacking, however any bugs or issues with the service are more often than not swiftly rectified.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LogicMonitor allows us to monitor customer devices conveniently, ensuring we have peace of mind that if an issue arises, then we are notified quickly and appropriately. Such benefits will enable us to free up valuable time in other business avenues; efficiency is critical to a successful business.

  ### 2. LogicMonitor has great info to display but it's not the easiest setting things up.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2023

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Being able to have devices in multiple groups is very helpful (i.e. a firewall can be in a 'North Carolina' group as well as a 'security' group)

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

It takes a lot to get set up. On set up, it takes some time getting used to with how things are done but once you get used to it, it's very helpful.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We replaced a different Monitoring system and this has been a great replacement. We are able to see a lot more in detail to our devices. It also gives detail related to UC servers as well.

  ### 3. LM Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Monitoring can be heavily customized and records historical data that can be used to identify trends/problems. We can also monitor more types of devices compared to our previous tool.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The lack of uptime reporting and network topology map

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to monitor our and our clients' infrastructure so we can address outages as soon as possible. It also allows us to be more proactive with access to historical information,

  ### 4. Easy setup, lots of documentation and additional hands on experts as needed.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The ease of how to set up the different alert types and the multitude of prebuilt modules that work out of the box.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

the webgui can change styling based on what page you are on, which can be jarring, but does show the difference in attributes when you configure vs monitor.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

keeping logs on the multitude of systems we run, as well as internal websites that end users use.

  ### 5. LogicMonitor changed how we offer client solutions

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

It comes with thousands of modules for the most commonly deployed technologies, and is also deeply customizable.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Sometimes it's buggy, and support is helpful but sometimes doesn't have answers that are better than 'wait for the next update'.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a solution for agentless monitoring for customers who will not accept a full RMM - LogicMonitor has let us grow our business to meet those needs.

  ### 6. Nice Monitoring System

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor is a highly customizable monitoring system that allows us to tune alerts and reduce mean time to resolution.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

It is relatively complex to set up and it would be nice if it supported multiple DNS resolution domains for hostname discovery.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LogicMonitor is helping us get all of our monitoring for internal and remote systems under one roof and provide dashboards to stakeholders to help improve information flow.

  ### 7. LogicMonitor was very easy to setup and comes with excellent features out-of-the-box.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael A. | Platform Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Easy to setup
Robust API
A lot of graphs
A ton of data
Easy integrations for the CMDB

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

There API authorization is somewhat obtuse, though secure. Getting over the authorization is thus far the most difficult thing about the tool.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LogicMonitor comes with config saves and netflow out-of-the-box. This allowed us to move our customers of the legacy system and decommission the system completely.

  ### 8. LM for Syng

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Srinath M. | Systems Administrator/Integrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I like the RCA Feature because it helps us to reduce the number of alerts

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Sometimes, being cloud-based is disadvantageous.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring and Alerting

  ### 9. Was able to transition to LogicMonitor quickly without issue. Very easy to learn and use.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raum S. | Director of Managed Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor definitely puts the LOGIC in LogicMonitor. It is very customizable and able to tailor to our needs. The API works great so we can integrate our other tools. Chat support is pretty effective. We were able to deploy quickly thanks to the SN CMDB integration and a talented in-house developer along with a LogicMonitor team that was able to steer us in the right direction.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Sizing and tuning the collectors has been more challenging than expected.
Sometimes it would be easier to have a quick call from a Chat support session.
There aren't a lot of dislikes.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better monitoring, less false-positives, very intuitive and easy to use. All of our engineers can navigate easily for troubleshooting and diagnostic purposes when troubleshooting. Monitoring can be very broad or very granular to suit our needs. Able to monitor for our standards and compliance needs. We just deployed so we are just scratching the surface.

  ### 10. LogicMonitor Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bob L. | IT Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Effortless to start the setup and easy-to-understand configuration. The monitoring options are almost unlimited in what you can monitor, and they have integrations for almost anything or you can build your own. LogicMonitor's support is one of the best I've dealt with. They also give you free one-on-one training to help you get it all configured for your organization. There are also a myriad of alert options, from email to calling you directly if you so choose.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Some of the configurations are buried deep in the settings, but once you understand how the layout works, its really good. Some of the documentation on the support site is outdated as they keep improving the UI and inner workings.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

One of the best monitoring solutions we've found. Great dashboards, numerous alerting functions, and ease of getting it up and running. We have used other solutions in the past, and they were more complicated to set up and did not monitor as many metrics as LogicMonitor does.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LogicMonitor monitors all our cloud resources, including EC2 instances on AWS, Azure, IIS, and countless other services. We are alerted immediately when something is a miss as well as when LogicMonitor sees a trend where something looks like it will fail in a certain amount of days, it will let us know.

  ### 11. Minute to access the server

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Naman B. | Support Escalation Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor helps in monitoring and alerting.
The cloud collector is the best feature in LogicMonitor if you have servers hosted on cloud.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Information which is collected in server.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logic monitor helps to collect the information of servers in the form of collectors

  ### 12. Synthetic app & infra monitoring

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** emad e. | digital project manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Supports several operating systems and hypervisor integrations securing every connection across devices, users and infrastructure

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Augmenting LogicMonitor with expert personnel for advanced troubleshooting

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Built a complete replica of our data center, complete with racks, floors, and devices for easier monitoring and log management

  ### 13. A beginner tech's review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I like Logic Monitor's details and graphs and colors. It does a pretty good job at automation and handling alerts/warnings.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

I dislike the crowding of the dashboard, there's too much information on the first page itself. I would rather have larger fonts and less data to not confuse me about what I'm looking at.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves our problems of automation and having to look at every alert. It does a good job of warning instead of alerting.

  ### 14. Rapid deployment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Insight into the resources in your organization that you were historically blinded to due to lack of monitoring.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Technical Support through the portal can be slow at times.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Propper secured monitoring of Network and compute resources across the entire organization.

  ### 15. LogicMonitor falls short

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

It provides monitoring and alerting of technical assets.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

It's unreliable. Compared to the competition, it's not nearly as useful of a tool in troubleshooting. I have also found that configuration change detection and backups is super unreliable. This is essential to all network tools.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gets us at least surface level monitoring and some configuration backups.

  ### 16. complicated monitor tool

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Able to monitor disk, cpu, memory in windows level and also able to monitor SQL server.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Can't drill down performance issue of SQL server.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitor SQL services. Able to get alerts when SQL service is down.

  ### 17. Highly configurable, alerting methods via text/email and can be accessed from anywhere, any device.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David S. | Infrastructure Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

24/7 Support
automatic reporting and alerting
Can be accessed from Mobile using the App or from any browser
Cost-effective for an all-in-one monitoring solution

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

More on sound alerting, if there could be a tool that can be installed to alert you via sound instead of the browser as it doesn't work very well. Could improve on this

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

If you need a solution that can monitor your infrastructure from anywhere, has 24/7 online support, is highly compatible with most (if not, all) hardware, is cost-effective and easy to deploy and manage....then LOGIMONITOR is the ONE

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring hardware and Network outages, centralized logging for troubleshooting issues, SSL and hardware expiry.
So far, it has been helping but I'm still configuring/tweaking stuff so that I don't get bombarded with unnecessary alerts.7:56 AM 17/2/2022

  ### 18. its a great tool for monitoring different operating systems and database infrastructures.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

it is a SaaS. you dont need to worry about the infrastructure.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

You cannot debug easily. The debug function doesnt give you a good feedback.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring multiple customer environments with only one account.

  ### 19. It really does what they say

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael J. | Innovation Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I like being able to dig under the hood and tweak all the settings. I also like how extensible the system is. LogicMonitor is opening us up to new monitoring opportunities with our customers. The API is also fantastic!

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Most of the things that I dislike about LogicMonitor are being fixed in the new UI that they are developing.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Do it!

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used LogicMonitor to replace all our other monitoring tools. We have greatly consolidated our server footprint and have also reduced our ticket counts due to false positives that we were getting from our old monitoring platforms. Overall this system has allowed us to automate much of our tasks. We are now able to add devices to monitoring, create CMDB CI's in ServiceNow, and integrate them into Salesforce for billing. This tool has changed the face of our company!

  ### 20. Easy to use, in-depth monitoring platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Ease of setting up.
Predictive monitoring
Log anomalies

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

There are useful additional features, not all out of the box in a package.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows us to keep monitoring in one place, with handy dashboards.

  ### 21. LogicMonitor user review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jack R. | Senior Monitoring Operations Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

LogicMonitor is one of the leading monitoring tools used to monitor resources effectively.
LogicMonitor takes an agentless approach which cuts down on setup time and customer resources. LogicMonitor has helped overcome outdated monitoring solutions, and as it is a SaaS approach the updates and Maintenace arer handled by LogicMonitor themselves, saving on infrastructure costs to the business.

Agentless Monitoring
Has an API for automation
Easy to use

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Lack of user profile customization such as a dark mode; this is quite a bright place! More role customization as well!

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Update all your LogicModules first! Plan a proper folder structure for alert customization as the root folder doesn't allow it.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefit is that we can alert for things when we like and route them to who we want, not just a mix of alerts in one place.

  ### 22. Breath Of Fresh Air

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lenny C. | DevOps Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

We have recently migrated our on premise monitoring solution over to LigicMonitor. The transition was easy and we are gathering even more detailed metrics without the need to deal with maintaining our own infrastructure.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

So far the downsides are fairly non existent. We had no issues migrating our custom scripts and templates into LogicMonitor. More dashboard widgets would be appreciated to display metrics with more detail, but surely not a deal breaker!

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

I would verify that you have the ability to utilize scripting to accomplish your goals.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using LogicMonitor to fill a void in monitoring non standard devices. The power behind the scripting allows us to create the appropriate methods of communicating with these devices to achieve our goal.

  ### 23. The platform and its capabilities alone is worth 10/10, but the LM teams support is fantastic!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris G. | Storage Architect + Lead Presales Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The out of the box usability is untouchable by competing monitoring solutions. Also every member of the LM team we've interacted with, from sales engineers, support engineers to all our sales and account reps, has been phenomenal.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

As an MSP who white labels their services for many different partners / VAR's, I hope to see dashboards and possibly even separate login screens that can be setup with different company logos. Having our whitelabled "My Global Help" support logo for now is just fine though!

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Becoming proactive instead of reactive is a big one for sure. Also, providing our end users with much more detailed insight and analysis of their environment from a "single plane of glass" view via dashboards is invaluable.

  ### 24. Using LM

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

cloud based and functionalities, alerting and dashboard

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Lack of device configuration for some vendors such as checkpoing.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitor and proactively looking at performance

  ### 25. Logic Monitor helping our OPs Team get to quicker resolution than ever before.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ramsin G. | Senior VIrtualization Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Built in RDP, Alerting, Downtime, SSH, HTTPs, Web, Azure, the only thing Logic Monitor doesnt do is make me a coffee. From setting up Root Cause Analysis to help cut down on noise/tickets when devices go down, to LM Logs, Repository. Logic Monitor does it all. It knows most devices, and those it does not, well you just have to open a ticket, or send an email and ask them to look into adding it. Turn around is not that long. Their help desk is very knowledgeable and their community forums are a must. LM has done it right from Day 1 and continue to do it right to this very day.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

1 thing and its very minute. The built in Apache Web timeout timer of 60 minutes. "We need more time Captain". There are some things you want to change, and all you have to do is ask them to and if they deem it a necessity, well your change will happen. They are the number one in my book when it comes to Alerting. Blows all others away.

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

If you are looking for a Monitoring service that allows you to fine tune alerts and quickly RDP to the device, than Logic Monitor is all you need.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Again no problems. What I have seen tho is a quick resolution in targeting an issue from our OPs team. Logic Monitor almost makes it too easy to find issues which then helps our team to quicker resolution to incidents. Built in RDP, SSH and HTTPs helps us get on the problem machine to perform triage.

  ### 26. In-depth out of the box monitoring

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

It's ability to integrate with 95% of vendor equipment

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Graphical mapping could be better, however this is mentioned in their road map as an area of improvement

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reducing on staff manual checks for routine tasks, streamlining automation and aiding to become more proactive

  ### 27. LogicMonitor, Its different with great potential

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

Scope for lot of customization through adding your own modules that too through groovy / bash scripts.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

User Interface has very limited filtering options and has its own learning curve. Cloud Integrations lacks few metrics.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logic Monitor helped getting instant insight into our Cloud infra.

  ### 28. LogicMonitor is a very robust monitoring solution!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben L. | New Jersey VMware User Group Leader, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

How easy it is to integrate LogicMonitor with other solutions such as Dell iDRAC, VMware vCenter and more. We were also able to integrate it with ServiceNow so when something goes down or an alert is generated, a ticket is automatically opened.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

I haven't found anything that I really dislike yet. The tool can be a little confusing to use, esp when trying to setup dashboards, etc. But once you get the hang of it, you're off and running!

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a monitoring solution that integrated with other systems. Our old solution (Solarwinds Orion) wasn't as easy to use, so we decided to switch!

  ### 29. LogicMonitor's cloud-based platform is perfect for our hybrid infrastructure.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

I like their architecture. On-site collectors with cloud-based logic and control works very well for us.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Access requires internet connectivity. Hard to monitor if network access is compromised.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LogicMonitor is allowing our Infrastructure and Development teams to access a single source of truth for alerting and troubleshooting.

  ### 30. Very fluid and extensible product!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shohn M. | System Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

My favorite part about LogicMonitor is the ease of extending my monitoring capabilities, and to be perfectly honest - the properties. The ability to manually and automatically create properties to "tag" almost anything in the portal is an under-appreciated feature.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

There are some UI changes that could be made, and it would be nice to see more consistency in the design / function of all parts of the portal (specifically I am thinking of LogicModules, Collectors, and Resource/Websites).

**Recommendations to others considering LogicMonitor:**

Make sure you take time to identify who will be administrating the product, having a small team of 2-3 people as custodians of the portal helps keep it consistent and organized until automation can be applied to it.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are monitoring 90+ of our customers inside of LogicMonitor and constantly expanding our monitoring footprint to proactively identify incidents prior to them becoming problems. One such example is monitoring GoDaddy CNAME records and the corresponding CNAME records in Route 53 (AWS), and alerting if there is a mismatch.

  ### 31. A pretty good monitoring tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

There are a myriad of ways to customize and organize data. It is very simple to create advanced reports and dashboards. Compared to some other products, it is easier to set up and configure. The fact that it is agentless is a big plus. The customer support is outstanding and very responsive and helpful at all times (even at 2AM with a weird question)

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

Permissions can be a little more granular to allow for more delegation of duties and allow some autonomy of different groups. We would like to see some improvements backend administration as well as some ability to create alerts.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to get proactive alerts on disk space, alert trending, SSL monitoring. We have also been able to find unused resources allowing us to delete and recover resources

  ### 32. Awesome Dashboard with good information

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pankaj J. | AWS support engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

  ### 35. My Honest Review of LogicMonitor

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The technical aspects of the tool and how easy it is to onboard new systems into the tool. We were easily able to add this tool into all of our environment including Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare and other vendors systems.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The adding of devices was a little more complex than other systems and while that can go to our benefit it would be great to have the option for a simple device add vs an advanced one.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to monitor our entire environment from Servers, Network and Telephony. We also are able to monitor applications and other systems in our environment. The ability to maintain a high availability has been a huge benefit for us.

  ### 36. Great experience from initial engagement to rollout and running day to day

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2020

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

A modern and intuitive tool, that is light-years ahead of what we are replacing. Can support a wide range of skill sets from those that non-technical through to developers. Everyone that has interacted with it and used it has become a fan. With the out-of-the-box modules, we've often found issues that we didn't know existed before. The ability to adapt and tune it quickly, drop down into collectors to troubleshoot, and throw custom scripts to monitor something that is unique to our environment...all from a browser window, without having to drop into a development environment or even a shell (unless you want to) . Context-based help integrated in, and customer support that is top notch and willing to jump into a zoom to help you through a problem while you are working on it.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

I wish they had better support for legacy monitoring that requires the use of SNMP traps. No one likes dealing with traps, and SNMP traps need to be replaced with more modern mechanisms ASAP, but they are an unfortunate reality that is often required at least in the near-term and during migration from other platforms. Not having good capabilities here makes dealing with legacy applications and hardware adds friction to migration.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it to primarily monitor out network and infrastructure components. We are using it to modernize our monitoring capabilities, allowing centralized monitoring while also allowing individual SMEs and teams to customize and improve visibility as we go.

I like the design of the platform as it is a SaaS. There is no overhead on having servers deployed, including having a main server and database server. Although you still need collectors, it only requires minimal management

Some features that are not yet supported for Network operations ex. having the ability to send a script/command to a device over the LM console and being able to select multiple devices and edit their properties via a radio button or selection method

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Device status that are usually takes time to setup monitoring and look into. Most needed MIBs/OIDs are already part of the native monitoring/discovery this enables you to quickly build your monitoring space

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2022

**What do you like best about LogicMonitor?**

The Quick setup to get started. I have used quite a few different monitoring services that took a bunch of time or did not show any good information till it "learned" your network.

**What do you dislike about LogicMonitor?**

The cost is high to use for your whole environment. It does get cheaper with more licenses and adding 25 at a time but it takes time to add each one still to get to the right number. The cloud license is very expensive.

**What problems is LogicMonitor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it to give customers insight into the cloud services we offer. Before we had no way to show a customer's environment metrics without a lot of work and giving them a static report.
