Lockdown browser is great in both classrooms and the office when conducting assessments for studies. Once the software is launched it prevents other applications from being opened hence prevents users from cheating. This software allows you to take a test via canvas e learning without having access to any other windows in your browser. I.E. you cannot google, screenshot, or click away from the test page without submitting the exam. For PCs when you start the lockdown browser it asks you if you want to "kill your applications" that are blacklisted from running at the same time. By clicking yes lockdown browser will close all apps except for itself. However this same feature on Macs does not work.
