What do you like best about Lob?

From the very start, LOB was very clear and intuitive on how to set and integrate in to my NodeJS application. The documentation was very straightforward, which allowed me to get a testbed up in less than an hour to prove the feasibility of integrating LOB. My particular application leans heavily on the POSTCARD API to send out custom invitations, and to validate this feature worked I often had to process hundreds of images and send to over to LOB to generate postcards. LOB having a test environment without rate limits was very beneficial as it allowed to me develop and test without worrying about rate limits and slowing down my dev process to match said rate limits. What do you dislike about Lob?

What I least liked about LOB was the lack of address validation prior to sending a mailer. With my application, clients can send invitations in mass and pay for said invitations. The client application validates the address with Google prior to sending, and sends the Google-based address to LOB for mailing the invitation. Still, LOB will process the postcard even if the address is invalid (for one reason or the other) which has caused some mailers never to be received even though the customer has paid for them. While address validation isn't trivial, it would be great to have a score of confidence returned from the API of the likelihood of the mailer being sent so the user can at least be alerted of a potential issue. What do you like best about Lob?

Lob does a good job of making marketing by mailers easier. I've done mailers by hand, which is cheaper. However, my time is worth more than what I save, and I wouldn't save much since I would still have to buy envelopes and stamps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lob?

There are cheaper alternatives than lob. You have to upload Excel spreadsheets and select the right columns, and get the right format. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Lob?

I was surprised by the print quality. When I used Lob, it was for an art project and I had a full bleed print generated by my back-end. They handled it swimmingly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My only beef is the bright orange computer text that is presumably added post-production for mail carrier reasons. I'm not sure anything can be done about this, so I didn't complain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Lob?

I understand that 100% validation accuracy is challenging, especially for newer buildings, but sometimes, Lob can't validate even older buildings' mailing addresses. Another issue I've encountered is that some buildings are categorized by Lob as commercial, even though they are residential or a combination of commercial and residential. What do you like best about Lob?

Lob has an excellent user interface, and I use it often for sending single-sided and double-sided missives. While I haven't used the API yet, it looks just as good from a cursory overview. The test environment helps you build confidence when sending mail, so you know you're sending the right piece of mail. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I don't like that it can take a few revisions to see what you're sending. You have to send the mail before seeing a preview of the PDF. I wish there was a live preview. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
