## Loader.io Reviews
  ### 1. Testing if my NodeMCU web server will survive the final project presentation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krishnakant R. | Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Loader.io?**

As an engineering student, the best part is the free tier and how dead simple it is. I used it to stress-test the local web server I built on an ESP8266 for my smart irrigation project. Instead of downloading heavy testing software, you just paste your target URL, set it to something like 0 to 50 concurrent connections over 1 minute, and hit run. The graphs it generates are super clear and look really professional when we attach them to our final lab reports.

**What do you dislike about Loader.io?**

The target verification process is a bit of a headache for students. To test a server, you have to verify the URL by uploading a specific token file. Since my ESP8266 server runs on a temporary IP or an Ngrok tunnel, I have to hardcode their verification token into my C++ code every time I want to run a test, which is annoying. Also, the free version only lets you keep one target host at a time.

**What problems is Loader.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were terrified that our microcontroller dashboard would crash when the external examiner and our professor tried to open it at the exact same time during our hardware demo. Loader.io helped us find the exact breaking point of our NodeMCU (turns out it crashed at just around 12 concurrent users!). Thanks to this test, we knew we had to optimize our HTTP request handling in the Arduino IDE before the final grading day.

  ### 2. Easy to use and great to strees testing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Albert H. | Company Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Loader.io?**

I used Loader.io, and I found it to be an incredibly user-friendly tool. The integration process was straightforward, and the instructions provided were clear and easy to follow. The results are precise and offer valuable insights into the performance of the website being tested. Overall, Loader.io is an excellent tool for load testing, especially for those looking for a hassle-free experience with detailed reporting. I used it on each release to tests the new functionalities.

**What do you dislike about Loader.io?**

The mobile design is necessary, for example, I move too much, and in sometimes I need to access the mobile but the site cannot adjust to the phone screen.

**What problems is Loader.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The strees testing, I use this in each release to measure the new load and compare with the olds results.

  ### 3. Loader.io platform provides dedicated Jenkins plugin for our cloud-native load testing dependencies

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shreya B. | Cloud Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Loader.io?**

Loader.io automatically splits the payload data between the load generators for all our load test cases per client.

For load distribution, histograms are generated by capturing response times and sizes dynamically. It is convenient since it shows more details than the typical min/max average.

Since everything can be automated in its platform, we can focus our efforts during the initial setup & configuration. In case any issue arises, then we can troubleshoot & resolve them. It doesn't require continuous monitoring, unlike other load-balancing tools.

**What do you dislike about Loader.io?**

Its User Interface is very dated, and it would give a better end-user experience if they could enhance it using a suitable overhaul.

Apart from this, there are no issues with UI navigation or response time.

We can quickly provide external access to our internal resources via Loader.io & navigate the attempts to access our internal resources out to any external resource.

**What problems is Loader.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Loader.io platform enables us to split the load between our production servers using declarative payload files.

We can schedule our load tests & configure its timeout settings to specify the response waiting time from our cloud-native applications.

For seamless integration with our Jenkins pipeline, the Loader.io platform provides a built-in plugin for load testing for our web applications.

Apart from load balancing, it also supports WAF, Reverse Proxy & ADC (Application Delivery Controller) for enhancing our application availability, resilient operations & security governance.

  ### 4. Very easy to setup and use!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Loader.io?**

The fact that it is free and so reliable and so easy to stress test our websites. We make updates to the website everyday and hence this is our go to tool and so reliable. I can also share reports with management

**What do you dislike about Loader.io?**

Everything is great so far. No complaints at all. Highly recommended.

**What problems is Loader.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Stress testing our website given we make a lot of updates.
