# LMS & Competency monitoring Are there any examples anyone has of using TalentLMS to manage competency rather than independent skills alone? We have a competency framework across our wide range of supported technologies which includes an extensive depth of those tech skills in terms of competency (from Apprentice to Specialist Certified Experts) , as well as other mandatory and compliance training and want to ideally house this within the LMS if possible. I appreciate a pathway can be created to 'lead' to competency sign off, as well as competency assessments, but would like to have competency as a distinct entity within the system, as well as career pathways if possible.
