Although many products looked appealing on paper, an in-depth evaluation left no doubt about the right choice. It allows to handle everything from buisness glossary management to data quality testing and much more on a single platform. Simple and intuitive menu structures make it easy to learn for even those who are not versed in data management. Various customizable alerting methods means that I don't need to spend time on the platform fishing for problems, but let the platform tell me when and where issues occur. Customizable metadata fields allow for answering the most demanding tasks. Using the on premise depolyment has not crashed once for almost a year. The few issues I have ran into with connecting to some specific database types were solved by customer support within hours, half a day maximum. This kind of reliability is hard to come by these days. **What do you dislike about SelectZero?** There are less customization options for buisness glossaries, but as far as I know, these questions will be adressed in the next release or the one after. **What problems is SelectZero solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our organization has a scattered architecture across 10 databases that have been in use for over a decade, are not well documented and no one really knew for certain, what is kept where and why. My task has been to get a clear overview of what types of data objects we are handling, where, what is the quality of the data, how is data related to buisness operations etc. There are many ways of solving this problem even using a simple Excel file, but it much easier to achieve with a specialized tool such as SelectZero. Within a couple of months I have a clear understanding of data quality issues, data duplication problems and policy requirements that have not been met. Introducing SelectZero to both IT and buisness sides has helped facilitate a mutual understanding of the tasks ahead and the value tackling with data issues brings to the organization at large. ### 4.
