Liquid Web is a premium hosting service provider that has a pricing on the upper tier with no such thing as shared hosting. For those serious in making a professional web presence without hiccups like site going without a proper SSL, crashed when content/product goes viral, Liquid Web needs consideration. Their customer support through chat is 24x7 and really, really prompt and effective. I am using Liquid Web Managed WordPress and satisfied. From this month, we are getting additional features, thanks to their merger with Nexcess, a web development company that has developed expertise in coming out with innovative hosting applications for Magento, WordPress and WooCommerce. I've been through the hosting gauntlet and seen past the marketing promises made by other hosting providers, but Liquid Web delivers on the hardware side and especially on the service side. When I have an issue with my hosting, I know I have someone in my corner who cares about my issue and understands the impact it can have on my business, so it's refreshing and encouraging to know that I'm not alone when something happens.

I think setting up and managing all the different aspects of a website hosting account can be tricky and tiresome sometimes. The control panel in Liquid Web makes most of the tasks involved easier to deal with since the menu items and tools are basically designed to be straightforward. I haven't experienced anything significant that I disliked about the web hosting product, but I think figuring out certain configuration settings that are ideal for our website installations and structure can be confusing at times, even with the online information and customer support resources. I've been using the Cloud Sites service for as long as it has been provided by Liquid Web, and since 2010 from when it was previously provided by Rackspace. The quality and reliability of the hosting and email services is certainly excellent, but the level of tech support is second to none. Their support crew has come through for me countless times over the years, and have even helped me with things that were probably not really their responsibility, i.e. WordPress child theme configuration issues, questions regarding foreign domain name extensions, IMAP email configuration on multiple devices, and much more. If you host multiple small-to-medium websites for yourself and/or others, and you don't have the knowledge or the desire to manage servers or hosting space on your own, you really can't go wrong with their Cloud Sites managed hosting option. They offer one-click installation of WordPress as well as many other content management systems, making this an ideal solution for freelance web developers and designers. Setup and configuration of email accounts is quick and easy, and they offer a website you can send your customers to that helps them set up all their devices and troubleshoot email configuration issues, so you don't have to deal with any of that. Pricing for the Cloud Sites service is somewhat inflexible, although this only applies to the monthly fee for hosting -- fees for email accounts are by quantity. However, I can't really complain about that because they previously gave me the email service for free (as Rackspace did when they owned this service before Liquid Web). When they started charging for email a couple of years ago, they bumped up the maximum storage on each account from 1 GB to 25 GB, which made the price change significantly less painful. Our last hosting company, Nexcess, over-charged us and billed for everything. The only way to get near reasonable pricing was to lock into a trouble, long-term contract with Nexcess, which the former company President, unfortunately signed-up for. When I tookover the reigns, one of my top objectives was to trim the IT budget while improving client suppot. As soon as the contract with Nexcess was over we did not monkey around. Instead, we worked with Angelo at Liquidweb.com to migrate our accounts.

We are glad we switched. At the time, we had 70+ Drupal and 20+ Wordpress sites to move. It took nearly 3 months. In less than 1 year, two of my top five annual goals have been achieved, thanks to Liquidweb.com. Liquidweb is a breath of fresh air.
