Describe the project or task LILT helped with:

The team helps with the localisation of design templates not only thru translation but also with transcreation. They are also helping us with metadata translation like design titles and keywords. This is quite tricky to address as it involves SEO optimization. This will, at times, result in a polluted translation memory, but they are able to handle it well.

Our initial goal was to be able to localise the entirety of our English templates library. This goal changed eventually but Lilt was able to cope with the changes with little to no hiccups. This is very important to us as the volume of content that we send out for localisation varies depending on the monthly campaigns that the company is running. What do you like best about LILT?

The way they are handling our project and their efforts in conforming with our needs is something that I really like about Lilt.

The project manager assigned to us is very enthusiastic about her work and not only helps us manage the deliverables but also helps with making sure that translation quality issues are being addressed on a timely manner. We set up regular cadences to discuss pressing matters and what I like about it the most is that we do not stretch out the time; as soon as discussions are done, we end the meeting even if there are still some few minutes left on what was booked. What do you dislike about LILT?

Our headstart as there were a lot of delays. It was however reduced dramatically as we progress with our partnership.

A few downsides of using Lilt is the availability of translators and inconsistencies it creates when they hire replacements. I think is is a problem that many other translation vendors are facing and is most of the time out of their control. But doing things for their translators to help keep them engaged and happy can help alleviate this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Their translation platform's AI is one of the best out there and their eagerness to seek solutions for their client's needs is something that they are best at. They may not be able to provide an outright answer to your needs but they will work their way onto providing it to you.

We still haven't seen the impact of the project we are working on but is definitely excited to know what it will bring.

One of the benefits of working with Lilt is that they are able to handle transcreation. This is a challenge for many other translation vendors and is most of the time much more expensive. This involved not only the translation itself, but the preparation of quality specifications, facilitating the packaging and delivery process, and developing a language-quality review workflow. Lilt offers a competitive translation rate and is capable of large-scale projects, while maintaining a commitment to customer service. Though quality wasn't as high as initially expected, Lilt recognised this and was able to take action towards improving the quality, including committing to an updated quality SLA to ensure they would deliver. What do you like best about LILT?

As this translation software is cloud based, I can work from any of my devices, without having to send documents from one to the other. The website runs smoothly, even when the internet connection is slow. Their automated translation is reasonably good and it improves as you introduce translations in your translation memory. I am a little concerned about privacy and intellectual property. I am not sure what they do with the documents one uploads to the platform, so I would avoid using it if you are working with confidential material. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
