What do you like best about Lightspeed Restaurant?

I love seeing everything important "at a glance" on the home page. The interface is definitely pretty user friendly-- once you are able to figure out where everything is! It's easier to use once you take some time to investigate and explore everything Lightspeed has to offer. It also does all of the basics, and does them well, but there are some glitches and bugs that need to be worked out. They are normally worked out through patches and updates, which happen automatically, so I don't have to worry too much about updating it at a specific time. What do you dislike about Lightspeed Restaurant?

Like I said, there is definitely a learning curve, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It took me probably about 2 weeks to figure out what all of the different commands are and what they do, but I have also found some great shortcuts as well! The system is still kind of glitchy or buggy at times, but they normally seem to fix the big problems with an update to the system. However with each update they not only seem to fix these issues but also create new ones-- which is really the only big downside. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Lightspeed Restaurant:

Keep their help desk on speed dial! Lightspeed has a lot of bugs and glitches that need to be worked on continually throughout the time that you would be using it. Luckily there are multiple ways to do things on Lightspeed so you don't have to worry so much about getting completely stuck as much as it seems to be just simply an inconvenience and may just take you a little bit longer to do whatever command you want to execute. What problems is Lightspeed Restaurant solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is definitely helping us to serve guests better and, as I mentioned earlier, the "at a glance" home page view definitely helps with that as well. I love that different commands can be executed with shortcuts, meaning once you have a handle on the program, you are able to do everything just a little bit faster (which definitely matters when there is a line of people in front of you!).
