What do you like best about Lightspeed Filter?

I love that everything is cloud-based and we now have the ability to allow educational Youtube videos that have been reviewed and approved by educators. The SMART agent is advanced and we appreciate the auto-update functionality rather than having to uninstall the old one and install the new one. Relay gives us much better visibility of what is being down on our school purchased devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lightspeed Filter?

I don't like the 100 video limit for Youtube per school, as we are running out. I don't like that the relay-rocket deployment prevents the user from being able to authenticate if needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Lightspeed Filter?

RELAY works and is simple to use. I have seen many variations of Lightspeed products over the years and RELAY is probably one of their strongest yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lightspeed Filter?

Unfortunately, customer support winds up being the winner here. Keep in mind though. Support has virtually always solved my issues. So it's not about competency troubleshooting their own product. It's just response time over the years has never changed. I've been a customer for over 12 years and it never fails for me to submit a ticket and actually have that ticket responded to the same day. And if they do respond that day. It is always 6pm after I've gone home for the day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Lightspeed Filter:

Lightspeed in general is a major player in the filtering game of products available. I have reviewed many products over the years threatening to make a change based on my disappointments with support. But the reality is all the filtering products work much in the same way and at the end of the day. They all have the same hurdles to overcome in the filtering world. I have found that Lightspeed does it as good as, if not better than most of those products out there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Lightspeed Filter solving and how is that benefiting you?

RELAY's biggest benefit today is the parent report. Our parents wanted to know what their kids were doing on our chromebooks and now they do. I am no longer pulling reports for conferences on student classroom performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Lightspeed Filter?

Good at looking at all traffic, http and https. Catches more things than our previous filters have. Support team is usually very good and helpful. Syncs with Active Directory to easily get users into the software. Cross platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lightspeed Filter?

Groups and moving around the web interface seems a bit clunky. Logs from client machines aren't available immediately in the interface. Could have better, more user friendly troubleshooting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
