## LifeLabs Learning Reviews
 ### 1. Great trainings for professionals!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paloma G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2025

**What do you like best about LifeLabs Learning?**

Their data-approach to learning - and the fact that you can walk away from a training with tangible tools.

**What do you dislike about LifeLabs Learning?**

No dislikes here - my only wish is that they rolled out new topics more frequently

**What problems is LifeLabs Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LifeLabs was instrumental in the ramping up of our people managers - from effective 1:1's to mindful feedback giving - can't say enough good things about LifeLabs and their facilitators!

**Official Response from Mary Elrod:**

> Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I'll make sure to share your feedback with our product team, too!

 ### 2. Great training workshops for managers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristina O. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2024

**What do you like best about LifeLabs Learning?**

Their trainings are actionable. They give small things our managers can do to make a big impact.

**What do you dislike about LifeLabs Learning?**

Nothing really. For a smaller startup, cost can be difficult sometimes, so we can't do as many trainings as we would like!

**What problems is LifeLabs Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lifelabs provides training and tools that our managers can take with them and use for years to be better managers.

 ### 3. Great resource for personal and professional development!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erica M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2024

**What do you like best about LifeLabs Learning?**

I’ve had the pleasure of participating in several workshops through LifeLabs, and I have to say, the facilitators are the standout feature of the experience. They are exceptional—knowledgeable, engaging, and incredibly adept at making each session informative and enjoyable.

One of the most impressive aspects is that even if I took a course a second time, it never felt repetitive. Each workshop is uniquely tailored, with the facilitators bringing fresh insights and perspectives every time. This dynamic approach keeps the learning experience both stimulating and valuable.

**What do you dislike about LifeLabs Learning?**

Many of the LifeLabs courses I took online only had a small group of participants. This setup fosters an intimate learning environment that often feels like one-on-one coaching. It’s great to have that level of personal attention, however it would also be valuable to have more opportunities for larger group interaction. Increased participation and bigger group sizes for the workshop could enrich the experience even further, allowing for a broader exchange of ideas and perspectives.

**Recommendations to others considering LifeLabs Learning:**

Overall, LifeLabs' workshops are a fantastic investment in personal and professional development, largely thanks to their outstanding facilitators who ensure that each session is a unique and enriching experience.

**What problems is LifeLabs Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LifeLabs learning has been a great resource for our team! I have already utilized many of their workshops and tools they have provided in day to day interactions. Overall, the courses are well-designed and beneficial, particularly due to the quality of the instructors. The course leaders are fantastic—engaging, enthusiastic, and clearly passionate about their subjects. They bring a lot of value to the table with their deep knowledge and dynamic teaching styles, which really enhances the learning experience. Overall, LifeLabs provides an exceptional platform for growth and learning, making it a top choice for anyone committed to improving themselves and their team both personally and professionally.

**Official Response from Mary Elrod:**

> Thank you, Erica! We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review and give us some valuable feedback. Our facilitators are incredibly talented at what they do. They are such an asset to LifeLabs!

 ### 4. Transformative Leadership Training with Real-World Impact

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela P. | Director, Organizational Culture & Belonging, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2024

**What do you like best about LifeLabs Learning?**

What I appreciate most about LifeLabs Learning is their emphasis on practical application and real-world relevance. The training is not just theoretical; it’s designed to be immediately applicable, which has made a significant impact on our leaders’ day-to-day interactions. The facilitators are not only knowledgeable but also highly engaging, making the learning process enjoyable and effective. Additionally, the resources and tools provided are easily accessible, which ensures that the lessons learned are reinforced over time.

**What do you dislike about LifeLabs Learning?**

One area where LifeLabs Learning could improve is in the customization of their content. While their general programs are highly effective, there are moments when more tailored solutions would better address the unique challenges of our organization. A bit more flexibility in adapting their modules to our specific needs would enhance the overall impact. Also, expanding their offerings to cover a broader range of leadership topics could add even more value.

**Recommendations to others considering LifeLabs Learning:**

For those considering LifeLabs Learning, I would highly recommend it as a valuable investment in your team's development. The practical, hands-on approach to learning ensures that the skills acquired are directly applicable to the workplace, leading to immediate improvements in leadership and team effectiveness. However, I would suggest discussing your specific needs with them to explore potential customization options that could further enhance the relevance of their training for your organization.

**What problems is LifeLabs Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LifeLabs Learning has been instrumental in addressing key challenges related to leadership development and team dynamics within our organization. Their programs have provided practical, actionable insights that have significantly improved our managers' ability to delegate effectively, lead inclusive teams, and handle complex interpersonal dynamics. By focusing on micro-learning and offering easily digestible modules, LifeLabs has made it possible for our leaders to engage in continuous learning without disrupting their busy schedules. This has led to a noticeable improvement in both individual performance and overall team cohesion, benefiting the entire organization.

**Official Response from Mary Elrod:**

> Hi Angela,
Thanks for taking the time to leave us a thoughtful review. We really appreciate your feedback, too. One of our values is "Always Be Learning," so we're always looking for ways to improve the learner and Sponsor experience. Thank you!

 ### 5. Immensely valuable every single time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kate G. | Senior Manager, People Development, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2024

**What do you like best about LifeLabs Learning?**

Timely, relevant, and highly valuable. Webinars can sometimes feel a bit 'clickbaity,' offering little substance for free, but LifeLabs stands out for its generosity in sharing genuinely useful resources. Their approach only deepens my desire to partner with them further. Great stuff!

**What do you dislike about LifeLabs Learning?**

Could LifeLabs consider making their workshops and content available on-demand? We've struggled in the past to coordinate our remote, distributed team for live sessions, and having flexible access would make it much easier to engage with their valuable content.

**What problems is LifeLabs Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’m truly impressed with LifeLabs' philosophy and approach to collaboration, especially its emphasis on the crucial role conflict plays in this process. The concept of distinguishing between unproductive and productive conflict resonated deeply with me. I found it incredibly valuable to see conflict reframed as not just inevitable but as a necessary and beneficial component of high-performing, collaborative teams. The timing of the session and the relevance of the topic were spot on—just what I needed. Thank you!

**Official Response from Mary Elrod:**

> Hi Kate,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We appreciate your feedback, too! We offer several on-demand courses and we're hoping to add more in the future!

 ### 6. Life Labs Learning for Trainings

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2025

**What do you like best about LifeLabs Learning?**

Interactive experience, they use engaging activities to keep employees active during the training.

**What do you dislike about LifeLabs Learning?**

Scheduling the trainings was honestly the worst part about using them. It seemed like we got bounced around quite a bit and then the original times we had talked about were no longer available etc.

**Recommendations to others considering LifeLabs Learning:**

Really weight out what you are wanting to gain from using them, and look into other companies and do a good side by side comparison.

**What problems is LifeLabs Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't feel like it benefited me, and I got the impression that most of our employees did not find the trainings to be enjoyable.

**Official Response from Mary Elrod:**

> Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave us this feedback. One of our core values is "Always Be Learning," so we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We always do our best to schedule our customers' sessions when they prefer, but unfortunately our workshops are booked several months in advance.

I'm happy to hear that you think the experience with interactive and engaging, and I'd love to learn more about your experience so we can improve. If you're open to speaking more about this, please email me at mary.elrod@lifelabslearning.com. Thank you.

 ### 7. Engaging and easily digestible content!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremiah T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2025

**What do you like best about LifeLabs Learning?**

I love the science-backed and sticky content in addition to a very engaging facilitator!

**What do you dislike about LifeLabs Learning?**

Nothing at the moment since we thoroughly enjoyed the workshop. The online dashboard/platform was also nice but I could see areas of improvement around future integrations.

**What problems is LifeLabs Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LifeLabs Learning is helping us build foundational knowledge and shared language around behaviors of inclusion as part of our DEIB initiative.

**Official Response from Mary Elrod:**

> Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your experience taking Behaviors of Inclusion!

 ### 8. Clear, concise, engaging, evidence-backed trainings

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth H. | Manager, Talent Acquisition and Engagement

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2024

**What do you like best about LifeLabs Learning?**

They are really excellent at boiling down complex concepts into easy to remember, clear techniques in engaging ways.

**What do you dislike about LifeLabs Learning?**

LifeLabs trainings are not super customizeable. The trainers will certainly take into account whatever you share, but you can't change the overall content of a module, to add something new, or skip something your staff have been through before, for example. This may be a pro and a con - they are the experts, and orgs deal with the same things generally even when it feels different. But it isn't always what we're looking for.

**What problems is LifeLabs Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used LifeLabs for several trainings, including Behaviors of Inclusion. I have also been part of the POPs community, and attended their trainings for HR professionals that show samples of their other work. They lay out excellent techniques about things like how to best lead meetings, work with remote staff or a hybrid environment, handle microaggressions, and more. Our staff appreciated that LifeLabs gave them language such as the concept of "blur words" to help communicate better and avoid bias. I have been impressed with all of the various trainers and staff I have spoken with at LifeLabs, and have yet to find a training that doesn't feel relevant and useful to modern work life. I also appreciate the email pushes with additional actions and ideas that are sent after the Behaviors of Inclusion training.

**Official Response from Mary Elrod:**

> Thank you, Elizabeth! We agree that out workshops are all relevant and useful to modern work life, and we're so glad that your team has benefitted from them.

 ### 9. LifeLabs provides high-quality content that scales our lean L&D team's capabilities

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda V. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2024

**What do you like best about LifeLabs Learning?**

LifeLabs provides a high quality training program and expert facilitators. They are well aligned to our organizational philosophies around people management, and their operations team goes above and beyond to ensure a seamless user experience. It truly feels like a partnership; one where they are equally as committed to the success of our organization as we are.

**What do you dislike about LifeLabs Learning?**

While the content provided by LifeLabs is certainly high quality, I do wish that we had the ability to customize their training content to fit our unique culture and manager expectations. This is often the cost of not creating in-house content, but continues to prove valuable to us from an efficiency and scalability standpoint.

**What problems is LifeLabs Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our partnership with LifeLabs stemmed from our recognition that our leaders needed a common language when it came to people management. Our primary goal was to offer a standardized manager training program but, given the limited capacity of our L&D resources, we needed to identify a partner that was able to deliver high-quality training, efficiently, and at scale.

**Official Response from Mary Elrod:**

> Thank you for your thoughtful review and feedback, Amanda! One of our values is, "Always be Learning," so I will make sure to share your feedback with our team. We appreciate you!

 ### 10. Bring them along with me to every place I've worked!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melanna C. | Chief Member, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2024

**What do you like best about LifeLabs Learning?**

LifeLabs is a wonderful partner specifically in helping provide science-based proven Frameworks in real time, with sticky lessons that are easy to recall. I appreciate the immediate applicability, relatability, and value of the lessons.

**What do you dislike about LifeLabs Learning?**

I would recommend that Life Labs offer curated boosters to their clients based on the trainings that they've paid for to Cascade over the course of the year. While the trainings are sticky, humans always revert back to what's known and comfortable without having recurring reminders about the lesson content and how to use it.

**Recommendations to others considering LifeLabs Learning:**

If you're worried about cost, try a standalone training and see how it works. when I lived in San Francisco The community Life Labs offered was a game changer. they provided free local trainings with light bites for HR practitioners to have healthy conversation and learn. They also provide a ton of free materials and they hire the most kind humans on the planet.

**What problems is LifeLabs Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

These sessions/cohorts have been meaningful with regard to amplifying the impact of our front line managers. Our employees at Fresh Consulting are raving fans of LifeLabs

**Official Response from Mary Elrod:**

> Hi Melanna!
Thank you for leaving us such a thoughtful review! We appreciate your feedback, too. Now, all LifeLabs Learning clients get access to accompanying learning resources and on-demand courses with their private programs to support retention! If you have questions about how you can use these resources to support your learners, you can reach out to your impact consultant to learn more. Thank you!

 ### 13. Science-backed research for the masses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2025

**What do you like best about LifeLabs Learning?**

I appreciate the multiple dates/times for the same topic. This provides some flexibility on when I can participate. I also like the live workshops that allow for discussions with other learners.

**What do you dislike about LifeLabs Learning?**

I think most of the workshops are 2 hours long. Some are Part 1/2 each 1 hour.

**Recommendations to others considering LifeLabs Learning:**

Take a look through the resources on the LifeLabs Learning website to get a sense of their teaching style. There is a lot of great information that is free.

**What problems is LifeLabs Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Professional development for myself, exploring topics of management and leadership.

**Official Response from Mary Elrod:**

> Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and share some feedback. If you'd like to share more about your experience, feel free to give me an email at mary.elrod@lifelabslearning.com. Thank you!

 ### 14. Wonderful L&D program for managers!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angelina B. | Employee Engagement Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2024

**What do you like best about LifeLabs Learning?**

LifeLabs has been so flexible with us, allowing us to really take a customized approach to our L&D offerings based on feedback we've received from our employees.

**What do you dislike about LifeLabs Learning?**

It would be nice to have even more course offerings, as those that are hungry to learn could go through both manager core programs and not have much left in the catalog to pursue.

**Recommendations to others considering LifeLabs Learning:**

Just do it! :)

**What problems is LifeLabs Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LifeLabs Learning has been instrumental in helping us scale our L&D program. Previously, we only offered a single training course for new managers, but with their support, we've expanded to offer multiple, targeted training sessions for managers at all levels. This growth has enabled us to more effectively develop and support our leaders, ensuring that they have the skills needed to excel in their roles and drive success across the organization.

**Official Response from Mary Elrod:**

> Thank you for your thoughtful review, Angelina! We're so delighted to hear about your experience. For your learners that are hungry to learn more beyond the Manager Core Program (Part 1 & 2!) I would recommend our unlimited access Membership gives learners unlimited access to our daily live workshops, on-demand courses, and over 100 learning resources.

 ### 15. Excellent Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025

**What do you like best about LifeLabs Learning?**

The easy to understand and directly applicable techniques for day to day leadership skills.

**What do you dislike about LifeLabs Learning?**

I wish the platform had more of the content fully built out for ongoing, asynchronous learning.

**Recommendations to others considering LifeLabs Learning:**

Getting buy-in from senior leadership on the value of managers participating in these trainings to create leadership foundations across the company.

**What problems is LifeLabs Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Generating shared vocabulary around how managers operate within our company - it helps us develop consistent norms and standards around how we lead our respective teams.

**Official Response from Mary Elrod:**

> Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I'll make sure to share your feedback with the team!

 ### 16. Excellent trainings for managers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Becca P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2024

**What do you like best about LifeLabs Learning?**

Great face-to-face trainings and interactive workshops. Time-effecient. They leave you with worksheets afterwards and even email you reminders to practice new skills.

**What do you dislike about LifeLabs Learning?**

I think they do the most possible with the length of time that a training can last. I do think they're best supplemented by additional materials, like I'm also reading the book "Good Strategy, Bad Strategy", which rounds out my approach to strategic thinking in addition to the (helpful) course they gave.

**Recommendations to others considering LifeLabs Learning:**

Great investment to boost or turn around culture, and I think it's likely they also improve the length of employee retention when their trainings are actually used in a workplace.

**What problems is LifeLabs Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm a software engineering manager with just under 3 years of experience. My degree is in management, but that degree is very focused on hard skills (like calculating the statistical probability of a theoretical supply chain issue) rather than soft skills. LifeLabs uses research to inform "tipping point" skills that help you become a fantastic manager. I attended their feedback, strategic thinking, coaching skills, and diversity trainings. I also purchased their book, "The Leader Lab". I found their feedback and coaching approaches to be SO USEFUL that I've actually brought them into my everyday life as well. The coaching is ESPECIALLY useful for whenever people bring me a problem. I would recommend this to any business that values culture and employee retention. Retention is very important in any business with recruiting and training costs. The feedback training is great for all the staff, and the coaching training is great for managers. It takes managers beyond just "winging it" or thinking they're amazing for no reason, and gives them the practical skills to actually be good at what they do. To LEAD in a way that energizes and excites and pulls people, rather than MANAGING in a way that pushes people and crushes the natural and positive creativity of individual contributors.

**Official Response from Mary Elrod:**

> Thank you for your review and your helpful feedback, Becca! One of our values is "Always Be Learning," so we appreciate hearing your perspective. I'm happy to hear that the workshops has helped you on your learning journey. Kudos to you for taking it a step further and digging deeper into strategic thinking!

 ### 17. Best foundational leadership skills out there!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kayln S. | People, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2024

**What do you like best about LifeLabs Learning?**

Very easy and flexible to work with. Accomodating with schedules and amazing support and facilitators. Make learning easy, fun, and memorable.

**What do you dislike about LifeLabs Learning?**

Often times the sessions feel long especially if participants don't show up.

**Recommendations to others considering LifeLabs Learning:**

Try it! We've received unsolicited feedback that LifeLabs is the best manager training our team members have gone through!

**What problems is LifeLabs Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manager training and development. We are a scaling organization with newer and first time managers. We don't have the resources to build out an internal L&D function so have partnered with Life Labs to help our managers learn foundational leadership skills.

 ### 18. Our Employees Really Enjoyed LifeLabs!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam I. | Chief Human Resources Officer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2024

**What do you like best about LifeLabs Learning?**

The trainers have been excellent and engaging. We have received great feedback from everyone that has attended the LifeLabs events, both in-person and on-site.

**What do you dislike about LifeLabs Learning?**

I would have liked more feedback rather than a simple report from the trainers themselves, especially after the virtual events.

**Recommendations to others considering LifeLabs Learning:**

Ask questions, state what you'd like to accomplish and dive in!

**What problems is LifeLabs Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LifeLabs is the first management training program offered to employees that re new managers with our company. The employees were engaged in the training and felt it was long overdue as some were managers that never experienced management training.

**Official Response from Mary Elrod:**

> Thank you for your review and thoughtful feedback, Adam! One of our values is "Always Be Learning," so I truly appreciate you sharing that with us. I can have your Impact Consultant reach out about the data collected in our feedback surveys. They can provide you with more information so you can get a better picture of how your learners are responding to the workshops.

 ### 19. Very good training resource

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natasha F. | Associate Vice President, HR - Talent Strategy, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2024

**What do you like best about LifeLabs Learning?**

The facilitators are very high quality and the content is streamlined to be relevant for any organization.

**What do you dislike about LifeLabs Learning?**

It can be tough to figure out administratively how to run the programs. It requires some manual work to organize the events and get them to run logistically. I wish they offered more admin support and more personalized white-glove attention.

**What problems is LifeLabs Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

streamlining online live learning classes has helped free up a lot of my time so that I don't have to be in curriculum development or facilitation myself.

**Official Response from Mary Elrod:**

> Hi Natasha, thanks for taking the time to leave us a review! We launched a new platform last summer that makes admin work a breeze so programs can get up and running in no time. If you have any questions, I'm happy to answer them!

 ### 20. Professional, Insightful, Practical

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anke C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2024

**What do you like best about LifeLabs Learning?**

The wide variety of training modules offered.

**What do you dislike about LifeLabs Learning?**

Nothing comes to mind off the top of my head.

**What problems is LifeLabs Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Absolutely thrilled with my experience with LifeLabs Learning! As a repeat customer, I find their training programs to be very useful since their offerings are also customizable, making them a perfect fit for a wide range of training needs across our organization. The presenters are not only engaging and insightful but also brimming with practical advice that we can immediately implement. I highly recommend them to any organization looking for training solutions.

**Official Response from Mary Elrod:**

> Thank you so much for your thoughtful review, Anke! It is a joy to work with you and your team.

 ### 21. Excellent Training for People Managers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabby M. | Talent Acquisition Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2024

**What do you like best about LifeLabs Learning?**

I like that the lessons are easily digestable and after each lesson you will receive "mini-missions" that remind you of what you have learned.

**What do you dislike about LifeLabs Learning?**

I wish there were more training sessions available! I would love to see new topics offered in the upcoming years.

**What problems is LifeLabs Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use LifeLabs at my organization to provide a three-year intensive manager training program for our people managers. LifeLabs is great at helping you implement small changes that really make a big impact on your professional abilities.

 ### 22. Engaging training with follow-up

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robin F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2024

**What do you like best about LifeLabs Learning?**

LifeLabs is more engaging than most training in terms of being interactive, practical, and with solid tips and resources to help build skills. As well, they do follow-up so it's not a one and done situation where people leave the training and never think of it again.
