"LibreOffice is a word processor compatible with Windows and Linux. A great tool"
4.5/5
What do you like best about LibreOffice Writer?

What I like most about LibreOffice is that it is compatible with different operating systems such as Windows, Linux or macOS. Another feature that I like is that it has different modules. For example, modules for documents, spreadsheets or presentations. I also find it very helpful that the software displays notifications on a daily basis with tips on how to best take advantage of its features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The revealing and powerful program that has quietly taken away the leadership of similar traditional"
5/5
What do you like best about LibreOffice Writer?

LibreOffice Writer has many benefits and aspects that make me give my opinion and support, one of the main ones, which I like the most, is that the monetary contribution, being free, is at the discretion of the user who decides to contribute, what It has allowed me to save a lot of money, which under similar programs would end up costing me many of the resources I have allocated for other fundamental things in my personal finances. Another element that I really like, is to have an attractive and stylized interface, one of the best I have found in the market. Also, its stability is one of the aspects that I like the most, the consumption of resources is low, which gives me stability when developing or working on each project. In addition, you can have a work tool that adapts perfectly to the operating system of your choice, another point in favor of this wonderful work tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LibreOffice Writer?

Over the years it has improved a lot, to the point where I have no negative aspects to identify, it is one of the best tools that exist for office work, high quality and low cost. It has been shown that if there is any problem or inconvenience, it will be solved in the shortest possible time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best open source word suite with perfect docx files compatibility"
5/5
What do you like best about LibreOffice Writer?

If you work in a place where 50% of users / colleagues use open source text editor while the remaining percent use Microsoft Office suite, you need to have a software that can supports files exported with both softwares: I found that software in Libre Office Writer.

It fully support docx files from OpenOffice, GSuite and even from Office 365 without losing format, colors, padding and sizes of your documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LibreOffice Writer?

no autoupdate features on Ubuntu version, you have to frequently check LibreOffice official website to download up to date version, anyway, I prefer this to forced Microsoft updates that makes software unusable for hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Another word...."
5/5
What do you like best about LibreOffice Writer?

Is a complete solution for document editing with all you need to work in a comfortable way: document versioning, templates, print preview.....a full document office application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LibreOffice Writer?

The only things that move me to another document editing software is the compatibility with the standard doc format. In 2019 is not 100% compatible.

It can be possible to work with native Libreoffice document format, requiring to read this format with others professional format. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"You Don't Need to Purchase MicroSoft Word to Have Its Resources."
4.5/5
What do you like best about LibreOffice Writer?

Anyone remotely familiar with a word processor can use LibreOffice Writer with ease. It has the flexibility to work with most, if not all, .doc files, but is free to download and use. It's ideal for a home business or small business to have the power of Microsoft Word, but not the price tag. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LibreOffice Writer?

There are resources, such as some label and envelope templates, that Word has that LibreOffice Writer doesn't have. You have manipulate your document to create your own template of sorts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A good, free, offline alternative"
3/5
What do you like best about LibreOffice Writer?

If you need a pretty powerful word processor for free, LibreOffice Writer is a good option! I run Linux on my laptop most of the time, so it's an especially good option since I don't have access to Microsoft Office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LibreOffice Writer?

While it can do a lot, it's missing some key formatting features. For example, doing hanging indents isn't as easy as readjusting the ruler on the top of the page; you actually have to go into to page formatting and play with the margins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
