## LibraryWorld Reviews

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2022

**What do you like best about LibraryWorld?**

Simplicity; cost; ease of use. It does exactly what it says it will, very efficiently. Customer support is also solid.

**What do you dislike about LibraryWorld?**

Inputting serials is a bit clunky, but now we have no current print serials, so problem solved?

**What problems is LibraryWorld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeps my print collection catalog tidy at minimal cost. It's not over-engineered and we aren't paying for slick advertising etc.

  ### 2. Library World is great.

**Reviewed by:** Amanda Y. | English Second Language Teacher, Higher Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about LibraryWorld?**

Very affordable price, you can have ample access to various resources that we could not even dream of. You can import records from the standard MARC format, manually enter the records or extract records from one of the many online resources, collecting information from anywhere is easy.

**What do you dislike about LibraryWorld?**

I don't like that I can't eliminate all charges at once, there are some reports that I would like to run that are not offered. The "newly added titles" home screen helps little, since

**Recommendations to others considering LibraryWorld:**

I would recommend this program for libraries because of its ease of use and its ability to maintain accurate records, it is by far the easiest and easiest to use of all the library automation programs I looked at.

**What problems is LibraryWorld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a great program for our district to have in all areas, this allows us to keep more accurate inventory counts and deeper cataloging records, work in a high school and do not solve business problems.

I like best about this Library that the catalog module provides for the creation and updating of catalog and holding records. You can import records from standard MARC format, hand enter records, or pull records from one of many online resources, including our Z39.50 connection to the Library of Congress. The Z39.50 protocal can also be used by client applications to search your own library in a vendor independent manner.

It is by far the easiest and most user friendly of all the library automation programs I looked at.

**What problems is LibraryWorld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 10. Libraryworld

  ### 11. Good product with good support

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2017

This system was very easy to use. It was easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about LibraryWorld?**

I didn't like the speed and movement of the page.

**Recommendations to others considering LibraryWorld:**

none

**What problems is LibraryWorld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are checking books out at a college.

  ### 12. Daily use in a small library

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2015

**What do you like best about LibraryWorld?**

It's easy to operate. Self-cataloging into the system makes it easy to itemize the texts by course number and independent tags in the comments section.

**What do you dislike about LibraryWorld?**

Super simplistic design with limited input by the holding library. Home screen of "newly added titles" does little to help since it's 10 titles at a time and you have to scroll through pages of records. Search function is horrible -- does not accept misspellings, limited search terms, or ISBN numbers. Inventory reports are more complicated than they should be for such a small online repository.

**What problems is LibraryWorld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previous records were housed in a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet -- this allows us to keep more accurate inventory counts and more in-depth cataloging records.

  ### 13. Library World Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda K. | Area Manager, Libraries, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2015

**What do you like best about LibraryWorld?**

I find the program to be very user friendly.

**What do you dislike about LibraryWorld?**

Recently we have had issues with Library World pulling up a different number than what is on the barcode. This could be a scanner issue, though.

**Recommendations to others considering LibraryWorld:**

A very user friendly program.

**What problems is LibraryWorld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No business problems. It is a great program for our district to have across the board. It is also helpful that LMS has admistrative rights to assist us.

  ### 14. As a circulation program, Library World is great.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2015

**What do you like best about LibraryWorld?**

It is a good program for what it is needed for. It maintains accurate circulation records as well as financial responsibility for late returns. It is fast and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about LibraryWorld?**

I wish it gave me the ability to preset which parts of a Marc record I want to delete, so I wouldn't have to do it for every record. Also, when printing class records, they only print correctly using certain browsers. They aren't compatible with every browser.

**Recommendations to others considering LibraryWorld:**

I would recommend this program for libraries because of it's ease of use and it's ability to maintain accurate records.

**What problems is LibraryWorld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a school librarian that sees about 1100 children regularly. This program allows me to maintain accurate records without worry. Library World is also easy to use.
