What do you like best about Lexion?

We selected Lexion after spending nearly 2 years looking for a contract management tool that fit our business needs. We had a budget but found some of the larger offerings were far too complicated for what we were looking for and quite pricey. Lexion came along randomly and we loved it at first sight. The initial set-up was fast. I submitted my documents (no spreadsheet advanced work done!!) to Lexion and once the system 'digested' the details and the Lexion team reviewed the setup parameters according to my contract style it was less than a week to see it all in Lexion. The entire experience from sales demo to upload and support follow-through, was easy, friendly and very clear. I started using the Lexion tool right away. My entire company now has access to documents specific to their function and department. They can view their agreements - orders in Lexion and haven't really needed much in the way of training. Some didn't need training and others took 15 minutes. It's simplicity is what makes it such a widely adopted tool. Any questions I had for the Lexion support team are answered quickly but also clearly. It feels like everyone at Lexion knows my company and how we manage our contracts. We selected Lexion so that a person using the tool didn't need to have a legal background in order to look for information on a specific agreement. It's nearly "plug and play" in my view. What do you dislike about Lexion?

The Slack integration setup needed some tweaking and I wasn't able to get it running right away but we have other system requirements that needed more work to make this happen. Our company is using Lexion initially for customer and vendor contracts but now we're addting partner agreements and other key documents important to our workflows. We chose to exclude employee agreements and NDAs just to meet our initial budget. If you use an e-signature tool like DocuSign the signed document will automatically load into Lexion once it's complete (which is a game changer) BUT if there's a document you wish to exclude from Lexion based on your you have to remember to exclude it othwersie it will dump in to Lexion. If you're intending to load up all of your agreements from NDAs, to employment agreements then it's no problem. It's a minor issue as I can delete it from Lexion if I like. What problems is Lexion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Faster access to contracts by all company employees and teams in the company which means less emails requesting information AND my sales team has access through our Saleforce connector. No more panic requests! No more stress trying to upload contracts, read the contract and extract the details. Lexion's AI technology does it for me and all I do is quickly review what it's captured! Due diligence activities have been a breeze. I can quickly search and download a report of all contracts signed in 2020 with a specific clause (for example) and Lexion provides copies of the agreements and not just the contract information. Lexion's AI technology is so smart it picked up a start date what was buried in another vendor agreement. WOW!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Lexion?

I went from using a 100% manual CMS to using Lexion and it was a night and day difference. Its AI is intuitive. One thing I especially love is how helpful the customer service managers are. They are always able to help and have implemented numerous suggestions that my team sent into their current system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lexion?

Lexion is great. The automations and flows take some time to adjust to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Lexion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Lexion has solved our task management problems. It incorporates task tracking and the approval process into contract requests; I love the metrics and reports Lexion provides. We also love the search features within the filed Contracts section. It saves my team a lot of time when we review a contract whenever someone has a question about a specific term within that contract. The folks at Lexion are constantly improving and adding new features without always increasing the cost-- which is also a huge plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Lexion?

What I like best about Lexion is that I no longer receive constant complaints about our contract repository since we've transitioned. The interface is simple and easy to use, and the AI extracted metadata has allowed us to do much more detailed searching and reporting. With our prior tool it was bulky and all metadata had to be created manually, with meant we had NO metadata! Also love that Lexion has the same person run implementation and continue as the CSM, which means we don't have to re-educate someone on our use of the tool. I've gone through many implementations where the implementation manager was great and then the CSM wasn't, and it makes the relationship much more difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lexion?

Other than wanting certain minor feature enhancements, we haven't had any major complaints so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Lexion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Ability to organize, search and report on our contracts in a way we couldn't before. Ability to provide access to non-Legal users since basic users are unpaid, so we've been able to grow adoption outside of Legal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Lexion?

Lexion is the best contract management system I have used. Implementing Lexion is a very quick and simple process. The system is very easy to use and their customer service is top notch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lexion?

Two downsides of Lexion are (1) there is no ability to disable users from adding signed contracts to the repository and (2) there is no ability to rearrange the order of documents before sending them for signature with the Dropbox Sign integration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Lexion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Prior to implementing Lexion, my company did not have a way to report on our contract data so the reporting tool has been very beneficial. Lexion has also given my company the ability to set up contract review request workflows and maintain an organized repository. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Lexion?

The implementation is incredibly fast. All of the pre-built fields and document types make setting it up very quick and intuitive. Our sales teams were up and running with it immediately with very little instruction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lexion?

There are some features that could be better. For example, you cannot limit the access of who can upload a signed contract. We would like to limit this solely to legal or admin users, and that feature is not available currently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Lexion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Lexion is helping us manage the intake of contract review requests as well as allowing us to search our overall contracts repository. Previously, we were getting requests from multiple sources, and the status of each request was very difficult to track. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Lexion?

Onboarding and adoption by my stakeholders was an ease. The platform is intuitive and very simple making it easy to learn.

Lexion also carried the basic features making a solo attorney working with multiple teams powerful due to the messaging feature, e-signature integration, approvals function, and dashboard for status of contracts (minimizing the amount of pings from teams). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lexion?

Lexion doesn't immediately integrate out of the box with Asana or a billing solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Lexion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Lexion serves as a repository of all signed agreements and helps as a status management tool of contracts in progress. It improves contract lifecycle management by housing everything in one place and by automatically detecting data in the contract to populate searchable fields. What do you like best about Lexion?

Lexion is super easy to use, and is the perfect way to keep track of contracts, legal requests, and what stage each legal request/task is up to. Our small legal team is able to be across each other's tasks, so that we can be aware of various developments within the business, and the integration of AI features has been a useful tool to improve efficiency. Further, the customer support has been fantastic - we're always asked for feedback, the Lexion team always make themselves available to run us through the latest updates or give us additional training where needed, and they encourage any insights to implement additional features in new updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lexion?

The document repository is a little difficult to navigate - at times, searching for documents can take some time, particularly if naming conventions and similar details aren't fine-tuned from the outset. As a new platform, there are occasionally a few bugs, and some features that don't have all the capabilities that would make them the most effective. However, by providing a bit of feedback on our end, means that these fixes are soon on the radar for future updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Lexion solving and how is that benefiting you?

- Improving time spent on tasks

- Increased accessibility to the legal dept.

- Increased visibility across tasks that other team members are working on

- Simplifies tracking documents

Ultimately, Lexion is assisting in the efficiency of our legal team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Lexion?

I love the fact that Lexion is a one-stop-shop product that manages both contract review and repository ends of the process with everything in between. The interface is intuitive and easy to use which plays a big part in overall satisfaction if, like me, you use it every day. Workflow automation has also been a big help as we focus more on tracking formal approval processes/KPI metrics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lexion?

There are a few features that we got accustomed to in our previous solution that are not currently available with Lexion. One such feature is the ability to have draft messages automatically saved in a task in case you close out of the task itself. There have been a number of times where I've lost almost full emails containing my legal analysis of a contract. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Lexion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Prior to implementing Lexion, we were using one tool for front-end contract negotiating/tracking and a separate tool as a repository. These tools did not integrate with eachother and a considerable amount of time was being eaten up just to make sure that the necessary information made its way into the repository. Our ability to track internal metrics/pull contract data was also limited in the sense that this information needed to be pulled from two places. Lexion has allowed us to move everything into one place and have much more customizable data that can be pulled. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Lexion?

- Extremely easy to implement and iterate on intakes/workflows without the use of third party contractors. This is a massive competitive advantage vs. other CLM tools I've used previously.

- Ability to leverage the tool as Legal's operating system due to breadth of functionality - general matter management, template version control, negotiation, respository, etc. Most competitors focus on contract-specific functionality, requiring additional resources.

- Word plugin is super handy while working through contracts - super easy to manage version control and ensure updates are posted back to the intake.

- Template creation is crazy easy via the Word plugin.

- Licensing structure is great - the value you get for the price is an absolute no-brainer.

- Business adoption has been incredibly easy due to ease of use and variety of pathways to intake.

- Repository metadata via AI has been pretty solid so far. There are obviously constraints when dealing with AI, but Lexion does a great job to position it as a quick assist to capturing metadata vs. a set it and forget it feature.

- Constant system improvement.

- Reliability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lexion?

- Wish that AI Contract Assist was included in the subscription. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Lexion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Lexion has solved a ton of problems for our team, including the ability to manage stakeholder intake across a variety of matter types, simplifying the deal process, automatically ensuring all appropriate business units (e.g. Security, FP&A) have visibility into a deal pre-signature and are able to log approvals that live on the contract record, single source of truth for company contracts (vs. being lost in Drive or email), ability to track and report on signed contracts. What do you like best about Lexion?

Lexion is super easy to set up and get running- we were on Lexion within 3 days. Staff at Lexion are also great and take feedbacks. They also created an individualized video for us to help us trouble shoot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lexion?

Better pricing on the e-signature pricing so that we can have our whole process under one "roof." Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Lexion solving and how is that benefiting you?

1. We did not have any metrics to show what the legal department was doing (e.g., 50 of time spent on contracts versus HR issues) and what we were working on. Lexion helps keep track of this and gives us metrics to show our CEO. We also can keep up with our tasks within a centralized location. We track every single legal question, contract, HR policy in Lexion. We can show our CEO that we worked on 50 contracts in the first month- then 100 as the company grows and that we may need more support.

2. I also can watch over what my team is doing and hand out assignments better (e.g., new associate needs additional challenges).

3. We moved our whole approval process into Lexion- e.g., businesses cases are approved in Lexion. We did this because it was easy. I don't work on contracts that haven't been vetted.

4. We can keep track of when contracts are signed, when they expire and their terms. Teams can watch the progress within Lexion.

5. Lexion intake form forces our sales teams to actually read the contract before sending it over and hopefully spotting business mistakes so that we can make sure the agreement is right.

6. We know that people have approval from finance before it even comes to legal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
