I have NEVER called and gotten a half-hearted response from anyone I've spoken with. From the front-end sales to the customer support, every area knows their product, knows how to support it, and knows their customers and the needs they are likely to have. No question brought to them has ever received a frustrated answer, and believe me, I struggle retaining what I've been shown or told just once, so I know what it feels like for people to become frustrated. I have NEVER experienced that with anyone from the LEVELSET team. **What do you dislike about LEVELSET?** I'm a return user after being away from the LEVELSET for a year or so, and maybe I'm not recalling this issue perfectly, but it seems there was a way to edit information already entered, but the edit button was sort of hidden inside of something else. It always took me two or three tries to find that edit button. I often felt it could probably have been a little cleaner or at least more straightforward to find the edit. **What problems is LEVELSET solving and how is that benefiting you?** LEVELSET is assisting Sentry with filing a lien on a project in Kansas. As I mentioned previously, our company had been satisfied users in the past, but due to a shortage of work, we made the tough choice not to renew our subscription with LEVELSET. During that time, I continued to use their free online resources to research requirements in different states and to manually monitor jobs where we were concerned about payment. The project for which LEVELSET is now helping us file a lien was one where I had already conducted my own research using their free tools. This allowed us to keep track of the situation and, when the need arose, return to a subscription in order to file the necessary lien. The transition from being a former customer back to an active one was incredibly smooth—almost unbelievably so. Once again, the support was excellent and the service truly outstanding. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about LEVELSET. They offer a great product and make the legal aspects of the process easy to understand, so there’s no anxiety about using their platform. I’m genuinely grateful to have access to their services, which help our company succeed! ### 2. He's always a pleasure to speak with—friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. Christian is also resourceful and consistently quick to respond whenever I’m unable to reach him right away. His support has made a real difference, and we truly appreciate the excellent service he provides. **What do you dislike about LEVELSET?** The pricing can be a bit steep, especially for smaller companies or those with limited budgets. This is a time saver but mostly due to the legal nature of the documents, the scout research we pay for places a level of confidence as these documents are sent out - research we do not have the manpower to carry in office. The level of customer service you receive from Levelset is very unique and individualized in this world of technology and live chats. It is nice to be able to develop a relationship with the staff. **What do you dislike about LEVELSET?** Pricing is seems high but we appreciate the discounts we receive if we prepurchase. Onboarding new staff would be most beneficial - possible some training. It has taken me a couple of years to get familiar enough with Levelset that I am confident enough with Levelset that I can easily perform the duties needed. This is attributed to the ongoing support of the staff assigned to me. Once we have noticed that the home went on the market, we reached out to Levelset for an update. I have received a call next day, as they do not have a customer service number (you have to request a call). They let me know that we will not be receiving the payment for the lein we have placed as all the necessary steps have not been taken. No one has reached out to us with any updates or any additional requirements that need to done to aquire the payment we have worked for. We were willing to let it go as the lein submittal through Levelset was just under $600.00. Unfortunately, the associate who had reached out decided to hang up mid call. So far, Levelset has not been of any help to us and the service we have received was unprofessional. During our phonecall, they had also mentioned that as of July 2024, they will be withdrawing from any leins and closing down their services as so many of thier customers have reched out with the same issue. **What problems is LEVELSET solving and how is that benefiting you?** Levelset is not benefitting me at all. ### 42. They opted for sending information to all of the contacts found for a particular job skyrocketing costs because they were often inefficient at finding the same. After various attempts to point out that they had a fault in their process, all of our open liens in Florida are technically invalid. We mentioned this on several occasions and they refused to listen to concerns way befire this judge ever ruled against them saying that the company was founded by attorneys. **What problems is LEVELSET solving and how is that benefiting you?** Levelset promised a very visually appealing and easy to use system for a process that historically has been very manual. While there are many aspects of the notice to owner and lien processes that are still manually, they promise to get the information and send it out in a timely manner so that no legal rights are lost in the construction process. We stopped using them because there were many failures on they information they obtained and how they managed their processes despite us paying for the highest tier of research. ### 44. Our teams are trained on the required initial setup, and then pay application and waiver requests are automatically generated to our subcontractors, they know what they are required to turn in with clear instructions and indications of errors, meaning that our team members don't have to manage this tedious process. It is done automatically. **What do you dislike about LEVELSET?** The initial setup on a project can be tedious and complex, however it is time well spent when the process works the way that it should. It inevitably shaves hours off of the sub pay application review process each month for each project, the financial and productivity gains associated with this time savings is incredible. **Recommendations to others considering LEVELSET:** Get a demo, it is going to impress you, particularly with the available pricing. Make sure to really utilize the ability to use custom forms when necessary and train your teams to invest in initial setup to make the monthly usage simple and efficient. **What problems is LEVELSET solving and how is that benefiting you?** Time management is very difficult for our project teams, they have much that is required to be done in a short period at the end of each month, sub pay application review, development of Owner pay applications, when you add to it the due diligence of reviewing lien waivers from all subs, second tiered subs and vendors on a project to ensure that you mitigate risk, you begin to realize that you will run out of time during that period. Having to review, list what is missing, train subs on what we require, again and again, can take days sometimes. Levelset is a true time saver. ### 47. They are linked to a lot of databases too so finding a GC is easy, even if you dont have the address ready at hand. - Mail delivery is a must for preliminary notices and they will take care of all of that for you and you can also choose to send it out by email on top of it. - It takes a little while to get used to the way the website works, but once you do, its a breeze and you will send out notices within minutes. -There's a reminder feature, once you plug in when your work ended, that will automatically tell you when your lien date is coming up and remind you 10 days before so you have time so send a free "notice to intent to lien". You also have options to create free documents like "payment reminders" - you can anonymously rate payment speed of GC's you work with and will also receive warnings when a project stakeholder has gotten a bad review or a problem has been reported. - When you do run into problems with payment, they are very helpful in walking you through the lien process step by step. The Call Center is based in New Orleans and the employees are helpful and knowledgeable. **What do you dislike about LEVELSET?** - They have two plans for level of research, the Pro research (property owner, legal property description, project type, job site address) and they will check public databases for GC, Surety/Bonding Co. and Lender information if you dont know it but wont guarantee that its correct. They will recommend you upgrade to the better level of research where they make calls to subcontractors / GC and search paid databases. I wish this was the standard for either plan because if you get the info wrong, you can jeopardize your lien success. **Recommendations to others considering LEVELSET:** If you have lots of projects, this is a great tool keeping track of making sure you're sending out the preliminary notices. If you rarely or never have had to file liens, then go with the basic research but if you deal with lots of different GC's you dont have a personal relationship with, maybe opt for the higher level of research. **What problems is LEVELSET solving and how is that benefiting you?** you let all parties know that your payment is protected and you're more likely to get paid in time. Sometimes just sending out a "notice to intent to lien" as a last minute resort before the lien helps you get paid or helps get the ball rolling. ### 48.
